During his years on Fox News, the one word that was almost never mentioned on his 8-9 p.m. show was “Israel.” Carlson knew that many conservatives In his audience were Israel supporters, and he didn’t wish to alienate them. But after he was let go by Fox, and started his podcast on X, he began to unmask himself as an antisemite — for only an antisemite would provide a platform for such beyond-the-pale antisemites as Darryl Cooper, Candace Owens, and Munther Isaac. In recognition of Carlson’s happily providing a platform for such people to spread their nonsense and lies, Amichai Chikli, the Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs, tweeted his own message. “Tucker Carlson Giving ‘Leading Platform’ to Jew-Hatred, Chikli Says,” by Joseph Feldman, JNS, December 17, 2024:
“Congratulations to Tucker Carlson for becoming the leading platform for fringe Holocaust deniers, conspiracy theorists and blood libel enthusiasts who oppose the State of Israel,” Chikli wrote on Tuesday….
Joel Pollak, senior editor-at-large at Breitbart News, wrote that the conversation was “the third rabidly anti-Israel interview Tucker has done, and at this point it is fair to ask why.”
In March, Owens’ podcast was suspended by YouTube for antisemitic conduct, including her claim that “Jewish people control the media.” She has attacked the “exaggerated” stories about the Holocaust. Owens has called the diabolical “medical experiments” on Jewish and other prisoners carried out by Dr. Josef Mengele during World War II “bizarre propaganda.”
The Rev. Johnnie Moore, meanwhile, a well-known American evangelical pastor, has called Munther Isaac the “high priest of antisemitic Christianity.” So these are the guests that Tucker Carlson has been providing with a platform on his podcast: Cooper, the Holocaust denier; Owens, the antisemitic racist, and Munther Isaac, the West Bank “Palestinian” who denies the Jewish connection to the Land of Israel and justifies the Hamas attacks of October 7, 2023 as a response to long-term oppression.
Carlson reveals his own antisemitism not only in the company he keeps, but in the remarks he makes about world leaders. He has described Ukrainian Volodymr Zelensky, who is Jewish, as “rat-like”: “‘He Likens Jews to Rats’: Jewish Groups Condemn Tucker Carlson’s Description of Ukrainian President Zelensky,” by Andrew Bernard, Algemeiner, June 7, 2023:
The American Jewish Committee (AJC) and B’nai B’rith International on Wednesday condemned right-wing talking head Tucker Carlson for his description of Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky as “rat-like” and a “persecutor of Christians,” along with other antisemitic tropes during the debut of Carlson’s new opinion show.
“Given his history of incendiary statements, it is no surprise that Carlson would traffic in antisemitic tropes in criticizing the Jewish leader of Ukraine,” AJC told The Algemeiner. “But it is also no less vile when he likens Jews to rats. Hate can inspire antisemitic acts. Carlson must recognize the impact of his hatred.”
Speaking on the debut of his new Twitter-based show on Tuesday, Carlson accused Ukraine of being responsible for destroying the Russian-controlled Kakhovka Dam. In doing so, Carlson also criticized the character and appearance of Zelensky, who is Jewish, using what are widely regarded as antisemitic tropes.
“Now if you see him on television, it’s true you might form a different impression,” Carlson said of Zelensky. “Sweaty and rat-like. A comedian turned oligarch. A persecutor of Christians. A friend of BlackRock.”
The founder and CEO of the investment company BlackRock, Larry Fink, is Jewish.
Carlson also added that Zelensky was “shifty” and “dead-eyed.”
What Christians has Volodymyr Zelensky “persecuted”? And in a part of the world where government corruption is common Zelensky is known for his scrupulous honesty, and for the rapidity with which he has dismissed officials who have been found to be corrupt.
Who will Tucker Carlson invite next as an honored guest, given an hour or two to speak on his podcast about Israel, the Jews, the Holocaust? After Darryl Cooper, Candace Owens, and Munther Isaac, what about Rashida Tlaib? Or Linda Sarsour? Or Ta-Nehisi Coates? And what political figures, disgusted at the antisemitic speakers he so blatantly welcomes and never challenges, will call out his sinister proclivities, and urge others to join in a boycott of the quite unnecessary Tucker Carlson?

This is the main reason he has tried to convince Trump and the American conservative electorate to do nothing about Iran’s genocidal ambitions to destroy Israel and all her Jewish inhabitants.

I followed one of his monologues on Fox when he pointed out the differences b/w an invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan vs one of Iran. He pointed to the geography of that country, then mentioned the diversity of various groups in that country, and then claimed that it would be far more difficult to invade
Now, I’m no advocate for an invasion or occupation of Iran – we’ve had our share of needless foreign wars. But Iran is too easy to invade and conquer: it’s history is filled w/ those who have conquered it, starting w/ Alexander the Great. The Arabs overran that country quickly, followed by the Turks, then the Mongols, then the Turks again. On top of that, Iran has been converted twice – first time to sunni islam under the Ghaznavids, and second time to shi’a islam under the Safavids. In fact, after the Samanid dynasty, every dynasty that ruled Iran was a Turkic dynasty, including the Safavids, who were Azeri. The Pahlevis were the first Iranic dynasty to rule a muslim Iran. So his claim that Iran would be formidable to conquer was false, although if we tried to do there what we did in Afghanistan or Iraq – write a new constitution for them, it would be as disastrous as those 2
I’m glad that Trump didn’t name him in the cabinet, nor give him any roles. I have no problems w/ Trump having him as a guest, given how he supported Trump particularly during the Russia investigations

Like an secret abuser of children who holds the position of a school principal. I never knew Ticker Carlson was an anti-Semite. I watched his show and he made many intelligent and perceptive comments. I was taken in as were millions of others. And now Trump is taken in which is very sad.
Anti-Semitism is the oldest hate and its endurance shows how many are drawn to it. And the saddest of the lot are those who should know better but still are believers like a crack cocaine user or alcoholic who knows it is a destructive habit but cannot give it up? What is so infectious about this hate?
President Harry Truman you may be surprised to know was personally anti-Semitic. I read that he would not allow a Jew in his home. But he was able to divorce his personal beliefs from his political decisions and he is known as a steadfast supporter of the realization of Israel and put the weight of the United States on the side of Jews in 1948 at the UN. Without Truman, the realization of Israel was in danger.
You must admire him for this seeming contradictory mindset. He did not allow his personal feelings to get in the way of political decision which he knew were just and proper than follow his own feelings.
As President Mr.Truman was a very decent man.
Tucker is not such a decent man professionally or perhaps personally as well. As I do not know if he has any close Jewish friends who he embraces, I cannot say. But it does show the continued power of anti-Semitism which is whether we like it or not, an Historical force just like Racism or Class Struggle.

If I remember correctly, Truman’s business partern, Eddie Jacobson had important impacts upon Truman’s life. But the one that has the biggest import ala this post is the fact that they had to declare bankruptcy when their habidashery business went bankrupt. Truman as I understand it was ok with declaring bankruptcy but Jacobson was not. It was he who insisted that they pay off their creditors for the money they owed, and Truman thanked him for his honesty. And because of that relationship when Israel was declared to be a state, the always against it State Dept wanting to oppose it was thwarted by Eddie Jacobson, who always got an audience with Truman, for what he taught Truman about honesty in business.

Tucker Carlson fiercely criticized Israel over killing a few Christians in Gaza, but he fails to understand that those Christians were killed in a war that the Palestinians started due to their Islamic imperialist hatred of Jews. Meanwhile, Carlson never calls out Putin for killing scores of Christians in Ukraine. In fact, Tucker is a huge supporter of Russia and gives favorable interviews to its leaders while calling the Ukranian leader a “thug”. Russia is, by Putin’s words, a multi-cultural mult-confessional empire with a HUGE population of Muslims that invaded and torched Ukraine, a Christian country, over completely false pretenses.
Tuckaer Carlson baffled me. He seems like a deeply morally confused and crooked man. I don’t value his commentary at all.
Proud Conservative says
Russia has not killed scores of Christians in Ukraine. It has killed hundreds of thousands!
But in fairness to Russia, it has not targeted them because they are Christians. It has targeted them because they are Ukrainians.
Israel didn’t even target the small number of Christians it inadvertently killed. They were accidentally killed.
This is classic sleight of hand by Carlson and his protege Candace Owens, implying that Israel targeted or was indifferent to killing Christians, when they knew that was not true.
Mark says
Don’t try to parse Russia’s reasons for killing Ukranians. Russia’s “grievences” with Ukraine are completely phony excuses to justify Putin’s neo-Soviet expansionism.
In addition, Russia is becoming g an increasingly Islamic country due to immigration and higher birthrates of Muslims. They’ve teken in the second highest number of Muslim immigrants after Germany. Putin kisses the Koran. There are also videos of Russian Muslims in Ukraine shouting allahuackbar, looking like jihadists.
Tuck the Cuck hasn’t breathed a word about Putin’s Islamophilia and open immigration policy. He talks about Russia like it’s the Last Bastion of Christian conservatism. It is anything but. Russians are less religious than Americans. Paganism and occultist are also very popular. Tucker Cuckerson is a fraud!

I could understand it if he said that he’s only interested in America, but not other countries. Except that he doesn’t really demonstrate that: as others pointed out, he has covered Russia to some extent, and also, he’s given the Boers of South Africa a megaphone that nobody else has! I do think that he’s entitled to his choice of which foreign countries to cover, and which ones to denounce, but then, if he ignores Israel while covering other countries, it does open up the question of whether he’s antisemitic
However, even assuming that one took at face value that he’s only interested in what goes on in this country, he’s made it a point to say nothing about the rise of antisemitism within this country, particularly on college campuses. I get it that a lot of people have a dim view of American Jews thanks to the fact that some of the most high profile Jews – Sergei Brin, Cheryl Sandberg, Yoel Roth, Harvey Weinstein, Rod Rosenstein, Bernie Sanders and some others – have turned out to hate this country, making them about as loved as muslims. But he refuses to draw a distinction b/w them vs innocent Jewish students who are assaulted merely b’cos they wear Yamikas or Magen Davids. He did call out a major Jewish donor for raising concern about this campus culture when it came to attacking Jews, but saying nothing when it was others who were being attacked, and there he did have a point
But overall, he has shown a major apathy towards any crimes being targeted at Jews. He’ll say that he condemns that, but that’s only if and when he’s probed about it. Given the overall pattern of his statements, those who think that he at least has a bias against Jews, even if he doesn’t rabidly hate them the way Candace Owens does, are on solid ground
All that said, it doesn’t mean that I don’t agree w/ him on Russia, China, South Africa, the state of our cities, our troops being there in 150+ countries, tech censorship and so on. But there are several other conservatives who are on the same page as him on most of those, except Russia and Israel. So I only follow him when he has something to say about Russia-Ukraine, but otherwise just avoid him altogether. When I can get the same opinions from a Glenn Beck or an Andrew Wilkow

Zelensky banned the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, accusing the church as pro Russia. Tucker Carlson is right by saying Zelensky as a “persecutor of Christians”, and saying Zelensky was “rat-like” may not refer to his being a Jew, but his being a jerk.
I don’t defend Carlson, but we have to be objective. In fact, I think Carlson tends to speculate and exagerate things up to a point of almost lying.
Mark says
That’s wrong. Christians are not being persecuted in Ukraine. What happened is that the government is placing scrutiny on Moscow linked church leaders who cheer in and bless Russia’s invasion. Imagine if Mexico invaded the US and there were Catholic clergy with ties to Mexico cheering on and blessing the Mexican invaders. Do you not think those people are treacherous fifth columns? Do you not think they would be investigated?
Meanwhile in Russia, all Christian sects other than the Kremlin-controlled Orthodox church are repressed. Tucker Cuckerson NEVER scrutinizes Putin for this. He never calls Putin a rat like he did Zelensky. His hypocracy proves his anti-semitism. The Russian Orthodox leader Patriarch Kiril worked for the KGB. The Russian Orthadox Church is a mouthpiece for the government. Read this article for more.

࿗Infidel࿘ says
The Russian Orthodox Church is the traditional Christian sect of Russia, and I don’t blame them for wanting to preserve it, and put a limit on foreign Christian sects doing their evangelizing. In fact, that is a problem w/ Christian missionaries, where they spin religious liberty as freedom to convert others to their faith. One’s normal understanding of the concept would be that people are free to worship (or not) the deity of their choice, w/o being fettered by the government. That doesn’t include the freedom to make others worship that same deity. Analogous to free speech, it would be the equivalent of someone defining it as the right to convert others to their own POV, as opposed to simply having the right to express their own POV
Russia does recognize 4 official religions – Christianity, islam, Buddhism and Judaism. Christianity being the Russian Orthodox Church. Buddhism being followed among Mongoloid. Interestingly, a religion that’s not on the official list is Shamanism – the religion of Genghiz Khan, which is followed by Mongoloid people as well as some Tatar populations, like in the Sakha Republic. However, the main Tatar population in Tatarstan is sunni muslim
I found it interesting that Judaism, which has ~100,000 adherents all over Russia, is an official religion, while Shamanism, which has ~1 million, doesn’t. Russia does have a horrendous history w/ the Jews, both under the Romanovs and under the Soviets. Unfortunately, in post-Soviet Russia, Moscow has missed the opportunity to mend fences w/ Jews by being constantly hostile to Israel, particularly under Putin, who patronizes the worst of Israel’s enemies – Iran and Turkey. Although Israel and Russia are practically frenemies of each other
Also, about islam, in Russia, there was a movement called Jadid, which was a muslim reformist movement in the Russian empire, and the early years of the Soviet Union. That movement was pretty successful throughout Russian territory, except maybe Chechnya, and is the reason that islam in Russia itself (Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan) as well as in the -stans – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan et al is a very bowlderized version of the religion we all know from Brunei to Gambia. Some of the things that Russia has done of late to motivate muslims to brand the war against Ukraine a jihad is reprehensible, but muslims in Russia get along w/ their infidel neighbors a lot better than they do anywhere else in the OIC
somehistory says
A Chistian speaking with others about Jesus and the God of the Bible, is a major part of Christian faith and obedience to Christ and God.
The hearer can say not interested, etc. and the Christian should honor that.
As Jesus instructed, “Dust off your feet and go on.”
But anyone is free to convert to other faiths if they choose to; at least, in theory.
Mark says
Putin’s reasons for prepressing Christians have nothing to do with preserving Russia’s Christian heritage. It’s only done so that he can preserve his grip on the Russian people and his own power. That’s what the evidence points to. Why then would he take in millions of Muslim immigrants from Central Asia and other places? That does far more damage to Russia’s Christian heritage than allowing Catholics or Protestants to practice.
I don’t think Muslims get along in Russia as well as you say. Russia is very good at presenting a fairy tale image of itself where all groups get along but there is a lot of cultural tension underneath the surface. A young man there who set a Koran on fire was punished with blasphemy laws and sent to Chechnya to get tortured and put through a struggle session by the local warlord there.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Mark
The only places Russia has taken in muslim immigrants has been from the -stans – Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, et al. People who were already housetrained in the Soviet Union and who are therefore familiar w/ Russian culture. There is a reason you don’t see reports of Uzbeks or Azeris raping Russian women. Russia has not taken in muslims from countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, et al, b’cos they know what to expect from them
I condemn the incident where they sent a qur’an burner to Chechnya to get tortured by the son of Ramzan Kadyrov. But the reason they did that was to keep alive the perception w/ their muslims that the Ukraine war is a jihad. Otherwise, Russia normally doesn’t treat its muslims w/ such kid gloves
I also don’t think that the 3 major Christian sects are interchangeable, or else, none of them would be trying to convert the others. In history, we did have the Thirty Years War, so it’s pointless arguing that following any one is as good as following the others. Yeah, it may be true that Sergei Kirill is close to Putin, but Russia would lose a lot of its culture if it morphed into a Catholic or a Lutheran country
