Trump ‘Transition Official’ Says All the Gazans Really Need is ‘a Sense of Hope.’ Really?

Is the core problem of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs simply that the Palestinians feel hopeless? Is the solution as simple as giving the money, job opportunities, and the prospect of a brighter future? Wow, why didn’t anybody think of that over the last 77 years? Actually they did. This idea has been put to the test again and again, with billions upon billions of dollars showered upon the Palestinians, and shown to be false. Nevertheless, a Trump “transition official” thinks that what we need to do at this critical juncture is implement this failed approach yet again.

NBC News published a curious story on Saturday in praise of Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, and giving some of the inside details of how the Trump camp views the situation in Gaza and what Trump may be planning regarding Israel and the Palestinians. The story relies heavily on information from an unnamed “transition official with direct knowledge of the ceasefire process,” and who seems intent on reimplementing multiply failed policies that essentially involve bribing the Palestinians to maintain peace with Israel. This has never worked, and never will work, and it’s unsettling to see it coming from someone who is allegedly a Trump official. Who is this person, NBC?

The “transition official” is the source for the claim in NBC’s article Witkoff is thinking about paying a visit to Gaza “as part of his efforts to keep a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas on track.” The official explained: “Remember, there’s a lot of people, radicals, fanatics, not just from the Hamas side, from the right wing of the Israeli side, who are absolutely incentivized to blow this whole deal up.”

Now wait a minute. A Trump official is complaining about the “right wing of the Israeli side,” and likening it to Hamas? Where did they find this guy — Dearborn? Usually this kind of rhetoric only emanates from Muslims who are sympathetic to the jihad against Israel (as it’s the “right wing” that is most vocal about resisting that jihad) or their leftist allies. Why is this person a part of Trump’s transition team?

NBC continues: “Visiting Gaza would allow Witkoff to see for himself what the dynamics are there, rather than taking Israel’s or the Palestinians’ word for it, the official said, adding: ‘You got to see it, you got to feel it.’” Well, yes, it’s good not to take the Palestinians’ word for how things are in Gaza, given the fanciful casualty numbers that the Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health has reported since the beginning of the war. But then the transition official warns: “If we don’t help the Gazans, if we don’t make their life better, if we don’t give them a sense of hope, there’s going to be a rebellion.”

  1. Islam and its Muslims are a continuous, terroristic threat to Israel, America, and ALL Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran. Basically, Islam is a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. More specifically, Islam is a Muslim Terrorist Ideology and Criminal Organization of discrimination, segregation, supremacy, genocide, polygamy, deceit, hatred, incitement, sedition, rape, terrorism, and violence against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran. Fundamentally, Islam is a Terrorist Criminal Enterprise. The FRUIT of Islam is WAR, terrorism, discrimination, and violence against all Non-Muslims; this FACT must be taught and broadcast to the general public to prohibit Islam, its Mosques, and its Schools. Furthermore, there is NO EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW in Islam or in Islamic Law.

    Non-Muslims CANNOT have peace with Islam and its Muslims because Islam and its murderous god, Allah, demand a continuous, Muslim war against unbelievers where Non-Muslims are CRIMINALS under Islam as Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…” HENCE, NON-MUSLIMS MUST MAKE ISLAM, ITS MOSQUES, ITS SCHOOLS, ITS ORGANIZATIONS, ETC. ILLEGAL UNDER THE LAW. Similarly, Islam and its many Organizations must be identified and declared to be a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION for their funding, teaching, and support of terrorism, violence, and discrimination against Non-Muslims.

    Islam does NOT MEAN submission, only SURRENDER. Allah in Islam demands SURRENDER which means ‘to Surrender, whether voluntarily or not, by becoming a Muslim’ while Submission, ‘to Submit’, is a voluntary act to follow the authority or control of another. Allah in Quran 49:14 says, “’The Bedouins said, ‘We believed.’ Say,’You did not believe. But say, ‘We surrender (became Muslim as a result of fear).’ And the faith has not entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and his messenger, he will not decrease anything from your works. Surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.’” Islam does NOT offer love and peace to anyone who is NOT A MUSLIM. Allah in Quran 48:29 says, “Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger, and those who are with him are severe against the infidels but full of tenderness among themselves…”

    Islam promotes a terroristic, Muslim war against unbelievers when Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”

    • Exactly. The Hope for Islam is not for everyone to have a good job, a confortable life, educated children, money in the bank. The hope of Islam is to occupy and convert ot dominate every country on earth for ‘Allah’ and gain favor in the afterlife which is more important than Earth life. Whitcoff has to go. Someone needs to clue Trump in. I thought he was a little more aware. Maybe Spencer or someone needs to have a meeting with Trump.

  3. Witkoff is correct – all the palestinians need is a sense of “hope.” But hope, as the palestinians define it is that Israel and her inhabitants disappear overnight.

  4. When it’s this important, no one should be allowed to say a lot of stuff and not be identified.

    What does Mr. Mike Huckabee have to say? Can’t see him agreeing.

  5. Witkoff is doing the work his Qatari clients pay him to do. Witkoff has set himself up to be the first one from Trump’s team to be fired. When things go south and Hamas reloads and attacks Trump can say Witkoff did this before Trump was in office and not representative of Trump so he is fired. Trump has been quiet on the issue so far everything we are hearing is from MSM farce NBC.

  6. Donald Trump did not say, “There will be hell to pay by Hamas unless at least 3 hostages are released before I take office.” At least that is not what I heard, and not what Hamas heard.

    They understood him to mean all the hostages, yet only released 3, less than 24 hours before Trump took office as President elect. They are not afraid of Donald Trump, nor do they care what he says or promises. Why do people insist on not taking Hamas and other Islamofascist groups at their word. Every dollar contributed to the rebuilding of Gaza, to relieving Arab suffering in the Gaza Strip, all the current aid about to flood into Gaza, Hamas will expropriate to the furthest extent of their ability and use it to replenish their losses, shore up their defences and repeat Oct. 7th, 2023.

    Hamas is currently conscripting new soldiers from extremely willing Palestinian civilians and criminals recently released from Israeli incarceration. They are currently planning how best to strike at Israel, with virtually the unanimous support of Gaza’s entire population.

    To think otherwise is suicidal empathy and a feeble attempt at self-delusion.

    A “sense of hope”–for what? The Hamas charter mandates the goal of desttruction of Israel and the slaghter of her people. Is *this* what Gazans need to hope for?

  9. Fire that jerkovsky Witkoff. He knows less about the situation than I do!

    For one, the Palestinians don’t give a fig for having a state. Really, they don’t. They keep turning down the opportunity to have one; they have done so over and over, since the British mandate with Israel receiving a state in the most fitting part of the world–their former homeland.

    Many leaders of the “Palestinians” have come out and said it, “we don’t care about a state–we object to the Jews having a state! We object to the existence of the state of Israel!”

    In other words, abolish the state of Israel, give it all to the Arabs there to do with as they please. Allow some Jews to remain in the land–after all, Jizya is sorely needed for those starving Gazans. No, they don’t want “opportunities” and “hope” per se. They are the ones who wreck greenhouses and farming operations given to them by Israel–they came with the land the Jews turned over the them. They are the ones who don’t care about being self-sufficient, so much so that irrigation pipes laid with much work and care by Israelis in the early days, were torn up and used to launch rockets into Israel.

    THAT is what Israel is up against. And Steve Witkoff sounds like a total Nimrod. Get rid of him before he does more damage, Mr. Trump. PLEASE.
