How could anyone object to Trump’s declassification of the files related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy? Americans deserved to know the whole truth, whatever it was, at the time, and the fact that it has been hidden for over sixty years now has only led to a proliferation of conspiracy theories and ever-increasing suspicion of government narratives on any and every subject.
Now, suspicion of the government is entirely warranted, as Thomas Jefferson and James Madison would be the first to tell you, and Trump’s decision to release the files is a long-delayed act of transparency. But at least one person is enraged over the release, and he happens to be JFK’s only grandson.
Jack Schlossberg, a far-left 32-year-old political writer and the son of Kennedy’s daughter Caroline, took to X on Thursday to fume: “JFK conspiracy theories — The truth is alot sadder than the myth — a tragedy that didn’t need to happen. Not part of an inevitable grand scheme. Declassification is using JFK as a political prop, when he’s not here to punch back. There’s nothing heroic about it. Jack”
One X user responded to this odd rant by asking Schlossberg: “Have you reviewed the files? Have you read the documents? What puts you in position to know what is being declassified and released, if anything?” To that, Schlossberg replied succinctly and crudely: “I know everything d**k.” Another wrote: “imagine not wanting to know how your grandfather died… how weird.” To that, Schlossberg was again crude and arrogant: “We already know d**k.” Why he was so rude and combative was unclear.
As a member of the Kennedy family, Schlossberg may indeed have been privy to information that hasn’t been released to the general public, but it remained odd that he would oppose the release of this information to the American people. Of course, the principal reason for his rage was that it was Donald Trump, not a Democrat president, who was releasing the files. That was why Schlossberg wrote: “Declassification is using JFK as a political prop, when he’s not here to punch back.” If Old Joe Biden had released the files, Schlossberg would have been praising his courage and honesty with the people.
That much is obvious, but Schlossberg’s statement was still strange. Declassification of the JFK files was somehow “punching” JFK, with the poor man not able to counterpunch? There was no sense that can be made of that at all except that Schlossberg hates Trump so passionately that he sees everything the Bad Orange Man does as an attack that requires a counterattack.

It’s the same nazi family that produced the wife of Israeli leader Rabin and explains why do many crazy things were done. Yeh, could by chance be unrelated but in these times suspect it’s that evil family.

Sounds like the Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson et al (and they are johnny-come-latelies” to the mob) schtick. You know, the Nazi-Jews, the ones who fabricated a bunch of history, who are running all the global elites, committing genocide and working secretly to rule the world. None of it makes a bit of sense.
As for Rabin, I can’t say anything about them one way or the other. Not many chose to be Jews on purpose to hide being Nazis, that’s what seems pretty obvious to me! Some of my great-uncles fought the Nazis, they could attest to the reality of the camps, and that it was Germans killing Jews. It’s all real. But, memories seem short these days.

I remember at the time that the Kennedy family locked up of these records for 60 years, and they have resisted every effort to open them. Speculation is the Kennedys did not want their historical connection to organized crime and bootlegging during Prohibition. And it was his same organized crime connection that got John and Robert Kennedy killed with mob hits.

Jackie crawled onto the back of the car to get part of her husband’s head. That mean he was shot from the front (Oswald was behind him). The Warren commission said that the bullet did a U-turn inside JFK’s head. How many times do hunters get killed because the bullet does a U-turn inside the animal’s body and comes back at the hunter (it has never happened).

Let the record show Oswald did not kill JFK, let the record show it was an inside job and possible LBJ was behind it. Maybe it was a family member who did not like his views or actions.(sarcasm)
When looking at the autopsy photo’s the back of JFK head was blown off, the front had a hole where bullet entered, was the driver the one who shot JFK? Oswald was a pasty and was killed, Jack Ruby how did he play into all of that action.
So many questions and the report could actually be a blockout nothing report.

There may be some embarrassing family secrets that will come out that hurt the memory of JFK and RFK. That would be tabloid-type interesting. However, they both, along with MLK jr, died as heroes and this release could hurt that. Maybe that’s Trump’s motive in releasing them now and why previous administrations didn’t.
Nevertheless, it’s about time to see everything the US gov’t has. At least it will be interesting.

No, the reason these files haven’t been released, despite those events happening more than 50 years ago, has been institutional obstruction. The people who ran the FBI, CIA & other TLA agencies didn’t want the reputations of their institutions to be damaged, no matter how evil or corrupt they were. In fact, in the last Trump administration, Mike Pompeo & Gina Haskell both opposed it
During the last 4 years, Pompeo came out against Trump on his retaining White House documents, despite what the law said. As a result, a few days ago, Trump made it clear that people like Pompeo, Haley would not get any roles in his administration. This time, he’s staffing those agencies w/ people who have no interest in concealing the skeletons in their cupboard. Tulsi Gabbard, for instance, was on a no-fly list, and she’s been asked to head DNI, the central clearinghouse of all intel. John Ratcliffe, who was the one untainted member of Trump’s intelligence team last time around, now heads the CIA. Kash Patel, who was Devon Nunes’ aide who uncovered a lot of the chicanery by the FISA courts and so on, would now head the FBI. Essentially, the days of our own intelligence bureaucrats doing whatever they felt like is coming to an end
There has been a cottage industry in conspiracy theories about the assassinations of JFK, RFK and MLK. Declassifying all these pretty much puts an end to them all, and eliminates the bismirching of the reputations of innocent people, while exposing the guilty ones. If it’s found out that these agencies themselves were complicit in those assassinations, I’m guessing that institutional apologies would have to come, in addition to wholesale reforms in those agencies
