Charity begins at home. The America First mandate that helped Trump get re-elected is based on that premise. Every politician is responsible for putting his or her citizens first, but for most, that isn’t the case.
America also needs to assess any misuse of its funds across the board by state actors that work contrary to its values.
American funding continues for Egypt to help it keep ISIS under control:
The Egyptian military has sought US support as it battles a violent ISIS affiliate in the Sinai Peninsula.

The cable, drafted by the Department’s foreign assistance office and approved by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, said waivers have been issued for military financing for Israel and Egypt. No other countries were mentioned in the cable.
The move risks cutting off billions of dollars of life-saving assistance. The United States is the largest single donor of aid globally – in fiscal year 2023, it disbursed $72 billion in assistance.
Just hours after taking office on Monday, Trump ordered a 90-day pause in foreign development assistance pending a review of efficiencies and consistency with his foreign policy but the scope of the order was not immediately known.
The State Department cable said effective immediately, senior officials “shall ensure that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, no new obligations shall be made for foreign assistance” until Rubio has made a decision after a review.…

I would cut off all aid to South Africa. They are going to confiscate the land farmed by Afrikaners, white farmers. They will do what was done to the White Farmers in Zimbabwe. Who kicked out the white farmers and gave it to black subsistence farmers. Zimbabwe went from an exporter of food to food shortages. I would work with Argentina to resettle the Afrikaners there and in the US.

On Egypt, there are ways that Cairo has been let down to the point that they now have been talking to Turkey. Thereby disrupting the Arab vs Turk face-off that was going on in the region before 2020. The Biden policy of encouraging Qatar & Turkey just left this bloc of countries – Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Emirates and Bahrein w/ little choice but to look at alternatives, such as China
For the US to win over President Sisi and make him do what we want, such as taking in Pali refugees from Gaza, there are some simple things we can do w/o throwing money at them (leave that part to the Saudis & Emiratis):
⮞ End the policy of ambiguity and support the Haftar faction in Libya. Field Marshal Haftar was a previous CIA asset who also has US citizenship, but the US State Department for some stupid reason decided to triangulate b/w him and the jihad-backing GNA regime in Tripoli, which is a vassal of Turkey. Haftar’s militia controls most of Libya and is backed by Egypt and Emirates, in addition to Russia. Now while Russian ownership of Tartus may be in question, they could still get bases easily in Tobruk and Benghazi. If the US just endorses him and flips him to our side, it makes Egypt happy, and also tells the Turks that the US can’t be taken for a ride
⮞ Support the Arab bloc against Turkey, whether it comes to Levantine offshore gas fields or any other geopolitical issues. Make it clear that the US doesn’t endorse the Turks manipulating events in Syria, nor their hostility towards the Kurds
In return for these 2 things, tell Cairo to accept Pali refugees from Gaza, and if they don’t want them, to work out arrangements w/ other Arab League members to move them to those countries. Maybe Algeria or Qatar or Kuwait. Something far from Israel’s borders. Settling those people in Sinai would be a bad idea: Sinai needs to be a demilitarized zone
