It’s bad for Israel, for America and for the world.
That a deal in which Hamas gets to claim victory, gets to keep Gaza and gets thousands of terrorists in trade for a handful of living or dead hostages is bad for Israel is obvious.
But it’s also terrible for America.
This was a deal put together by the Biden administration and Qatar, which acts as the state sponsors of Hamas, and now claimed by the Trump administration.
But while much of the focus is on the immediate damage, as Hamas terrorists celebrate their victory, few are paying attention to the final phase of the deal in which the United States is in charge of reconstructing Gaza, with Qatar taking point, and the rise of a PLO-Hamas technocratic government. That government was developed under the auspices of China and Russia in meetings in Beijing and Moscow that I reported on.
Witkoff committed the Trump administration to implementing China and Russia’s agenda to destroy Israel and replace it with an Islamic terrorist state controlled by Iran.
It’s obvious why the EU and the Biden administration would think this is a good idea. No idea why anyone in the Trump administration, which hasn’t even staffed up yet, decided to work on pressuring Israel into this.
It’s not just a catastrophe for Israel, it helps reverse Iran’s losses, empowers our enemies in the region, and commits the Trump administration to building a terrorist state in Israel.
Globally it makes it more likely that China will take Taiwan or that, seeing the abandonment of Israel, Taiwan will surrender to China.

I agree, Keys, but I have to wonder how many in the incoming Trump administration, never mind the decrepit people in the outgoing Biden administration, including of course Biden himself, really comprehend just how diabolical are the forces they are up against and especially where Islam is concerned. As that great 17th-century Swedish statesman, Oxenstierna, said to a young man in the Swedish diplomatic service, it is imperative to understand with what little wisdom the world is governed.

Islam promotes a terroristic, Muslim war against unbelievers when Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”
Allah promises Heavenly Paradise to Muslims for acts of killing when Quran 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah, so they kill and are killed…”
Islam champions Muslim acts of slaughter against Non-Muslims for not becoming Muslims as Allah in Qur’an 8:12 says, “When your lord revealed to the angels: ‘I am with you so make firm those who believed[Muslims]. I will cast a terror into the hearts of those who became infidels[Non-Muslims]. So strike above their necks(decapitation), and strike off(chop off) every finger from them.’”

Thank you for the lesson. My husband and I are aware of these beliefs and agree that Islam is not a religion of peace and that it should be outlawed! But citing the verses is great. And every American, no, every non-Muslim should be aware of this.

I finally convinced some Jewish friends and family to vote Trump at least for the sake of his support for Israel and Jews in general. Mud on my face. I’m not sure who’s gotten to him but someone has. I don’t trust Susie Wiles for one and rumor has it, she sees to it many don’t get access to Trump.

As someone who loves Taiwan, and believe it deserves international recognition whether it calls itself the rump of Dr. Sun’s Republic of China founded in 1911, Taiwan, Great Liuqiu, Dongning, or even Li Lao-san, I fear you are right. Xi Jinping is a typical Communist thug down to his fingertips. He is firmly aware that he represents the world’s last, best hope for 20th century totalitarianism and believes himself the man of the hour to drive ; and USA out of the Western Pacific.
As for China and the Muslim world, the latter’s moral obtuseness and dependence on Western narratives in its view of international politics is plain in this relationship. They will not utter a peep about China’s plan to alter the Qur’an (and Bible) to fit Communist ideology; they will remain silent against a true genocide against the East Turkistan people; and, perhaps, recognize that China’s disregard of freedom of religious belief is exactly how the Muslim world itself behaves when it has the power to do so.
But I also believe that the West–including the USA–bears its share of the blame for empowering the worst in a country where Stalin is still an icon. Our political and business classes gambled that they could help foster “civil society” in Mainland China and do a profitable business there–and ended up compromising themselves and throwing the door wide open to hostile intelligence.
