The Hamas Surrender Deal Sets Up Trump to Fail

The Trump administration is being tricked into adopting the Biden administration’s Hamas policy.

Let’s be clear about two things:

1. The Hamas Surrender Deal is the same deal the Biden administration has been pushing all along which consists of Israel giving Hamas everything it wants in exchange for the release of living or dead hostages.

The final terms haven’t yet been made public, but a leaked draft calls for exchanging live terrorists for dead hostages, an Israeli withdrawal, and Qatar being allowed to ‘reconstruct’ Gaza.  Attempts to ‘sell’ the deal hinge on such details as whether Israel will be able to go back into Gaza which will be subject to interpretation. Based on past history, the interpretation that will be followed is the one that forces an end to the fighting.

 

2. The Hamas Surrender Deal puts the Trump administration in charge of then enacting and managing a policy crafted by the Biden administration and Qatar. The consequences when it inevitably falls apart will be on Trump.

Only so much can be known from outside, but Steve Witkoff appears to have been taken for a ride by longtime pros like Secretary of State Blinken and Brett McGurk and is enjoying the flattering media stories about him ‘intimidating’ and ‘cursing out’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Witkoff is being taken for a ride and the Trump administration is being taken for a ride with him. He didn’t succeed, he failed miserably at extracting meaningful concessions from Hamas, and went right back to Biden’s policy of pressuring Israel. Instead of delivering a win for Trump, he delivered one for Biden.

Instead of crafting its own foreign policy, the Trump administration is being stuck with Biden’s policy of pandering to Islamic terrorists.

And that’s a disaster not only for Israel. but for America.

After the initial euphoria of freeing a few hostages, the Trump administration will be stuck managing Gaza, it will be stuck funding the mess, pressuring Israel not to go after terrorists and when the thousands of freed Hamas terrorists kill Americans, the Trump administration will be blamed.

The smart play was to let Israel win the war without getting involved. The dumb play was Witkoff doing whatever Blinken told him to do.

The Trump administration should not let Witkoff hang Biden’s Hamas Surrender Plan around its neck. That’s setting it up to fail and lose, to show weakness, and to be stuck dealing with a neverending problem in Gaza.

  1. So many promises made….Things were going to be different. Israel was going to be free to finish the job.
    Then comes another appointed idiot….a self-important creature who follows the corrupted lead and is proud of “cursing.”
    Did Mr. Netanyahu feel “intimidated”? I have to doubt that. The creature has a wet pastry look; an un-done biscuit.

  2. Original plan- give back all hostages or be obliterated. New open ended plan: Some hostages released with Hamas reneging because we KNOW now they have no plan to release all hostages. I will predict this: the same released Hamas terrorists will be on the battlefield. While civilian casualties are horrific, they are a stage of ending all wars. Israel must protect its people and destroy Gaza. My money is on Hamas giving them more than enough reasons to be flattened.

  3. What I know, many will also know later in 2025. There was a friendly subtile snake in a garden long ago. He’s back !!! You should not have taken that snake in he even warned. Many things that look good at the outset lead to a horrid agenda under the surface most do not see yet. Thought Biden was bad ? Biden was horrible but worse is coming. The man with the greatest ego, that needs no repentance and likes to keep God out of the picture, oh my oh my trumplestillskin.

  4. Israel should have been let to win the war, and not like this to repeat the same old adage…

    • Trump administration is not being tricked.
      Trump is not who his supporters think he is.
      Biden was so horrible that trump looked so much better. That was the plan all along.
      Israel will now enter times of desperation as won’t be able to rally support from the people like in bidens case as those people will stick with trump over Israel to a large degree.
      The good cop bad cop game now on steroids. Problem is the good cop is more evil than the bad cop.
      Many will wake up even this year but it will be too late

  5. Wash, rinse, repeat! I can’t believe that tough Trump puts Israel in the position to refight this war in a few more years again. He was supposed to get ALL the hostages home by the 20th. That’s not happening.
    Instead, Israel is leaving Gaza allowing the terrorists to reconstitute.

  6. To win, Israel and America must conquer over Islam and its Muslims because Islam’s terrorism NEVER ends unless Islam is extinguished. Islam is a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. Specifically, Islam is a Muslim Terrorist Ideology and Criminal Organization of discrimination, segregation, supremacy, genocide, polygamy, deceit, hatred, incitement, sedition, rape, terrorism, and violence against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran.

    Non-Muslims CANNOT have peace with Islam and its Muslims because Islam and its murderous god, Allah, demand a continuous, Muslim war against unbelievers since Non-Muslims are CRIMINALS under Islam where Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…” HENCE, NON-MUSLIMS MUST MAKEusli ISLAM, ITS MOSQUES, ITS SCHOOLS, ITS ORGANIZATIONS, ETC. ILLEGAL UNDER THE LAW. Similarly, Islam and its many Organizations must be identified and declared to be a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION for their funding, teaching, and support of terrorism, violence, and discrimination against Non-Muslims.

    Allah in Islam demands SURRENDER which means ‘to Surrender, whether voluntarily or not, by becoming a Muslim’ while Submission, ‘to Submit’, is a voluntary act to follow the authority or control of another. Allah in Quran 49:14 says, “’The Bedouins said, ‘We believed.’ Say,’You did not believe. But say, ‘We surrender (became Muslim as a result of fear).’ And the faith has not entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and his messenger, he will not decrease anything from your works. Surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.’”

    Islam promotes a terroristic, Muslim war against unbelievers when Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”

    Allah promises Heavenly Paradise to Muslims for acts of killing when Quran 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah, so they kill and are killed…”

    Islam champions Muslim acts of slaughter against Non-Muslims for not becoming Muslims as Allah in Qur’an 8:12 says, “When your lord revealed to the angels: ‘I am with you so make firm those who believed[Muslims]. I will cast a terror into the hearts of those who became infidels[Non-Muslims]. So strike above their necks(decapitation), and strike off(chop off) every finger from them.’”

  7. Agree 100% This is everything I thought Israel would never do. I was hoping they would take advantage of the lame duck period to wipe up the mess on Gaza before Trump took office. What a gross disappointmenr. Again, Israel proved to be tactical geniuses but strategic fools. I feel for the 800 plus Israeli soldiers who gave their lives for nothing. We do not even know if any of the 33 are alive. Sad for the hostages and their lived ones. Worse for Israel .

      Must be a joke. The terrorist’s didn’t even release the mother and child hostage. A sign that Gaza has to be annexed. You can’t be in bed with a snake.

    • I don’t think that Israel is foolish–I think they are under *enormous* pressure, including from supposed allies–to appease Hamas.

  10. This deal is total insanity. How can Trump do this? I just cannot wrap my head around it. What is wrong with him???? All the comments say the same. Hamas will come again; they have a respite. I am upset and disgusted. Trump is dead in the water if something does not change fast. I never thought this would be his move!!

    • There are a great many things I like about Trump–but he assumes that all of his deals are brilliant. This is not always the case, sadly.

  11. Israel had time these past 6 months to flatten Gaza and move the entire population from the area. They didn’t do it. By not doing this they’ve left the terrorist population there. It doesn’t matter what deal is made the population should have been annihilated and removed. Never to return.
