Danish authorities have filed charges against two individuals for allegedly disrespecting the Quran. This marks the first case of its kind in the country’s history.
The charges were announced on Friday by the Public Prosecutor in Copenhagen, Anadolu Agency reported. The incident reportedly took place in June of last year during the People’s Festival on Bornholm Island, with the two individuals mistreating the Quran and sharing the act with a wider audience online.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the suspects mistreated the Quran in a tent and was witnessed by several people while being broadcast through a livestream on Facebook.
The case falls under Section 110e(2) of the Danish Criminal Code, which prohibits improper treatment of religious scriptures, added the report.
“It is our assessment that in connection with the event during the People’s Festival, improper treatment of a Quran took place, and that it happened in public, as it was attended by a number of people and also spread to a wider circle by being filmed and livestreamed via Facebook,” the prosecutor’s statement read.
Denmark’s Justice Minister approved the charges after reviewing the case. Public Prosecutor Lise-Lotte Nilas confirmed that the prosecution has requested a fine as punishment. The case has now been submitted to the Court of Bornholm, though a court date has not yet been set.
It is the first time Denark has invoked laws protecting religious texts, making it a significant development in the country, especially as it comes against the backdrop of similar Islamophobic acts in Europe in recent years….

The Qur’an is not a religious text, it is blueprint on how to kill or enslave people. And it is taught to retarded people (as Allah tells them to marry their 1st cousins and they’ve been doing it for at least 1000 years) as the gospel of Allah, a character made up by the alleged prophet Mohammed. Before pressing charges against someone for burning a holy book, it should be part of the law for the judges/attorneys to read that book to see if there was a valid reason to burn it.
If the book calls for violence, hate, genocide against unbelievers, then they shouldn’t be charged.
There shouldn’t be a charge for burning particular texts anyways…if I bought a book, its my property and nobody else’s business what I do with it. I am a book-lover and am against fascists who burn libraries….but certain books like the Quran should be eliminated.
Ofc people should read it first and copies should be kept so people understand why we burned them. Otherwise F Islam, F Muslims, F Quran and F any non-Muslims who defend it and punish us for opposing this death cult.

If it were a young girl that Muslim men were “mistreating” would anyone care? How many children and women in Denmark have been “mistreated” since the immigrant onslaught began? We can look at the charts for violent crime incidents, such as was in fact recently published by Denmark, with the national origins of the perps listed. Look at a graph of this, for the past 20 years in Denmark!
How many women in Europe must be “mistreated” before real change happens? It’d seem an infinite number. It does indeed seem that NOTHING will stain the practitioners of Islam.
And they behave that way because of the teaching of that book that was so “mistreated” by infidels in Denmark. There’s good reason that book was being “mistreated” and we need not apologize to the book or the adherents of the book. The book brought it on itself!
