Russia and Iran have signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement, “pledging to promote a new fair and sustainable multipolar world order.” The two countries have been staunch allies in Russia’s war with Ukraine, with Iran supplying Russia with drones. Now Iran needs favors from Russia in the form of military intelligence, defense and weaponry, as the Islamic regime now finds itself considerably weakened. Both countries have been diminished by war: Iran via its war against Israel, waged through its key proxy, Hizballah, as well as its client Hamas. In addition, Iran has lost another client and strong ally, Syria, with the fall of the Assad regime. Russia, meanwhile, has been in a drawn-out war of attrition with Ukraine.
Trump said of Putin:
He should make a deal. I think he’s destroying Russia by not making a deal….I think Russia’s going to be in big trouble…Most people thought that war would have been over in one week…I think he’d be very well off to end that war.
So now, Russia and Iran have signed an agreement: “Russia and Iran Sign ‘Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement’, Pledging To Promote ‘A New Fair And Sustainable Multipolar World Order’; Russian Commentators: The Agreement Formalizes Existing Military Cooperation”, MEMRI, January 30, 2025:
Moscow has been seeking rapprochement with the world’s “rogue states“. The Kremlin has been conducting joint military exercises and sending official delegations to Iran, Belarus, and North Korea (DPKR), seeking cooperation agreements and technological exchange. Indeed, in spring 2023, the Kremlin reported the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus territory. More recently, on December 5, 2024, a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and North Korea came into force, containing a clause on military assistance. Moreover, there have been reports that DPRK forces have been participating in the hostilities in Ukraine….
On January 17, 2025, President Vladimir Putin held talks with his Iranian counterpart, President Masoud Pezeshkian, at the Kremlin. During the meeting, the Russian president announced the signing of a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement” between the two countries. The agreement was reportedly ready in summer 2024, but the signing was held off until just a few days before the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump….the two parties pledged to promote “an objective process of forming a new fair and sustainable multipolar world order”, reaffirming their commitment to the spirit and principles of the United Nations charter, as well as generally recognized norms of international law
Iran yearns for Shia world dominion, while Russia’s ambitions are more opaque. During Trump’s first term, Putin was under control, while the leftist media criticized Trump for supposedly being too pro-Putin, and spread lies about “Russian interference” at every turn.
Even prior to Trump’s first term, he was skeptical of Putin:
I believe Putin will continue to re-build the Russian Empire. He has zero respect for Obama or the U.S.!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 22, 2014
So is Putin’s current intention to return to the global ambitions of the former Soviet Union? During the presidency of Joe Biden, Putin became hardened, in contrast to his previous approach while Trump was President. In fact, Putin has stated that “the conflict in Ukraine could have been prevented” had Trump been in the White House in 2022. “He also said Moscow is ready for talks with the U.S. on a broad range of issues.” However, Putin’s latest move to align with Iran is worrying news. The red-green axis proliferated throughout the Biden administration, and now Trump must deal with the fallout.
If the unpredictable Putin decides on a non-negotiable path with Trump, the pressure upon the Russian president will increase. Not only Trump, but most of the West will not stand for his continued war with Ukraine. Trump has warned him to “end the ridiculous Ukraine war,” or else face “new high tariffs, taxes, and sanctions if it doesn’t quickly end its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.”
It was imprudent for Putin to proceed with a new pact with Iran, possibly in the hope of intimidating Trump. Such an approach could reflect a lapse in judgement, and reveals Putin’s current frame of mind as the world realigns with the exit of a weak administration in Washington. It was also peculiar that Russia and Iran together reaffirmed “their commitment to the spirit and principles of the United Nations charter,” especially since the UN stated of Ukraine that it will “remain fully committed to the latter’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.”
The best Putin can do for himself and country is to begin negotiations with Trump. The issues that led up to the war during Biden’s tenure can be addressed beyond the urgent need to end the war with Ukraine.
According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia is vulnerable:
Russia cannot siphon capability from others overnight. It takes time to secure capabilities by manipulation or force and to convert partnerships into capabilities. It took Putin at least six years to force Belarus into becoming a de facto Russian military base. It took months for Russia to establish joint UAV production with Iran in Tatarstan. Russia is vulnerable to an adversary capable of anticipating and disrupting the Kremlin’s pivots before the Kremlin can turn them into war capability.
Furthermore:
Many of Russia’s relationships do not have a durable foundation and may crumble if ‘partners’ perceive Russia’s loss…..China is Russia’s enabler in this war, but it has not openly provided military assistance to Russia.
Already Russia and China have begun talks about “how to build ties” with Trump, as well as on the “prospects for a peace deal to end the war in Ukraine and Moscow’s firm support for Beijing’s position on Taiwan.” The mention of Taiwan is a perfect illustration of what can result from a deal with the devil. Taiwan must not be considered as the sacrificial lamb for Ukraine, not to mention the disastrous effects to technology and trade should China be emboldened to invade Taiwan.
China’s position on the U.S. includes an accusation that the U.S. stoked the war “with weapons it supplies to Kyiv.” But that happened during the Biden administration.
One aspect of all this is clear: between Donald Trump, the power brokers of the West, China, and the UN, ending the war with Ukraine is being demanded of Putin.
So the question of how rogue Putin is prepared to go remains largely unanswered. Putin’s latest alliance with the Islamic Republic of Iran and other rogue states is likely contingent upon his assessment of Trump’s next move, as well as of Western resilience. Putin will also be influenced by what China decides regarding whom to support ongoing. Yet China cannot be trusted by anyone, since the CCP is only driven by its own longterm ambitions of dominance, as it attempts to manipulate global developments.

There are just 2 poles – US & China. Maybe a third – Turkey. Russia may pretend that it’s a superpower, as might NATO, but the way they’ve been bogged down in Ukraine has just demonstrated that they are a paper tiger, who look formidable only on a map
Let alone the idea that Iran is a superpower. If Iran is a superpower, what is Israel? Yet, even Israel doesn’t pretend that they are one
Every satellite state and communist party that Moscow had during the Cold War now belong to Beijing. If Moscow weren’t a vassal of Beijing today, they’d have squat, except maybe Armenia, Belarus and Serbia

Putin and Russia is being islamized like Europe as they ally with Iran and its Muslims against Non-Muslims to help gain ultimate power and control. Islam is a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran and NOT A PEACEFUL RELIGION UNDER WESTERN LAWS(Quran 2:216; 4:95; 8:12,39,74; 9:5,29,41,49, 21:921; 88,111,123;21:92; 49:15 and more). More specifically, Islam is a Muslim Terrorist Ideology and Criminal Organization of continuous war, discrimination, segregation, supremacy, genocide, polygamy, deceit, hatred, incitement, sedition, rape, terrorism, and violence against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran. Fundamentally, Islam funds, teaches, and promotes a Terrorist Criminal Enterprise. The FRUIT of Islam is incessant WAR, terrorism, discrimination, and violence against all Non-Muslims; this FACT must be taught and broadcast to the general public to prohibit Islam, its Mosques, and its Schools. Also, Islam is an Antichrist System terrorizing Israel, Christians, and Non-Muslims. Plus, there is NO EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW in Islam or in Islamic Law(Quran 98:6-7; 9:29 and more). In Sahih Bukhari(V6,B60,N80), Abu Huraira narrates, “‘You(Muslims) are the best of peoples ever raised for mankind.’ means, the best of peoples for the people, as you bring them[Non-Muslims] with chains on their necks till they embrace Islam[see Quran 3:110].” See also Quran 3:22,151; 69:30-32; 98:6.
Non-Muslims CANNOT have peace with Islam and its Muslims because Islam and its murderous god, Allah, demand a continuous, Muslim war against unbelievers where Non-Muslims are CRIMINALS under Islam when Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…” HENCE, NON-MUSLIMS MUST MAKE ISLAM, ITS MOSQUES, ITS SCHOOLS, ITS ORGANIZATIONS, ETC. ILLEGAL UNDER THE LAW. Similarly, Islam and its many Organizations must be identified and publicly declared to be MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS for their funding, teaching, and support of terrorism, violence, and discrimination against Non-Muslims(eg. Quran 9:5,29,111 and more).
Islam promotes a limitless, terroristic, Muslim war against unbelievers when Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”

Just like other leaders of non muslim countries Putin is not a visionary. He and they are incredibly shortsighted. Russians have a history of making pacts with country where the ideology would attack them when the time is right. The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact of 1939. I guess they never learn up there.
Many countries complain about Israel even though Israel is surrounded by the islamic menace. But at the same time those countries are putting themselves in the same position as Israel regarding the islamic menace. I dont know what the plan is in those countries but whatever the plan is it is a really really bad plan.
