Palestinian Authority: Jews Made Up Stories About Atrocities on October 7

Yes, according to the “moderate” Palestinian Authority, the same authority that the Bidenites are hoping can be put in charge of Gaza, the Jews made up stores about Hamas atrocities on October 7, 2023. The Palestinian Authority is using the antisemitic libel that Jews control the media to explain why the world believes that atrocities were committed by Palestinians on October 7. According to the PA’s lies, Hamas only killed soldiers and did not rape, torture, or burn anyone alive. The only reason the world believes these things happened is because the Jews control the media.

PA Antisemitism is rampant. Last week, Palestinian Media Watch reported that the PA used the old antisemitic libel that Jews will do anything for money so that it could deny the inherent Jewish connection to the Land of Israel and thus to deny Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state.

Now, PA TV reported that there was “haziness” in how the events of October 7 were portrayed globally. It accused Israel of erasing truth, falsifying facts, and spreading rumors to control the narrative. The guest, Fawzi Al-Ghoweil, declared that the “Zionist entity” has historically controlled the world’s media outlets and influential platforms to falsify the Palestinian position and “skew” the events of October 7 “in favor of the Israeli entity.”

Official PA TV reporter: “Perhaps there was some haziness in the transmission of the scene of the event that took place on Oct. 7, 2023: [Israel] made efforts to erase this image, erase the truth, falsify all the facts, and invert them by circulating rumors, transmitting the Israeli narrative in the world. Several media outlets were influenced by this narrative…”

So the PA wants us to believe that 1,200 Israelis were not tortured, raped, mutilated, and murdered on October 7. But what about the videos made by the Hamas members themselves as they tortured, raped, mutilated and murdered? What about the recordings of their excited phone calls home to families in Gaza, where they boasted of their atrocities, with one of the ghoulish crew telling his mother that “Mom, I just killed ten Jews”?

Arab Union for Digitization Advisory Committee Head Fawzi Al-Ghoweil: “The Zionist entity (i.e., Israel) is able to control, or was able to control the media outlets and the most important media platforms in the world. It harnessed all these tools… and they are the most influential [media] outlets… while falsifying the Palestinian position and what happened on Oct. 7. They attempted to skew this event in favor of the Israeli entity. The Arab media, in the shadow of this Jewish, or more precisely Israeli or Zionist control over the media outlets – initially, participated in transmitting a false representation of reality.”

If “the Zionist entity” is able to control the world’s media outlets, how is that those same outlets are full of stories depicting Israel and the IDF in a bad light, accusing the Israelis of “apartheid” and “ethnic cleansing” and even “genocide”? Just look at the coverage of Israel and the “Palestinians “ that is consistently so hostile to Israel, so sympathetic to the”Palestinians,” at the BBC, the French Canal Cinq, the Italian Rai, Deutsche Welle, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian? If the Jews “control the media,” they are clearly doing a bad job of it. Most observers see a worldwide media gang-up not in favor of, but against, the Jewish state.

Can you name one major media outlet — outside those in Israel — that is covering the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza war, or the Israel-Hezbollah war in southern Lebanon, in a way that is not hostile to Israel? No, I can’t either.

There was a brief period — a few weeks — just after the October 7 attack, when the world’s media expressed sympathy for Israel. But that sympathy soon evanesced, and much of that media again started to depict Israel as a colonial-settler state built on land stolen from the Arabs, and the state of Israel depicted as a nasty little Sparta — the “neighborhood bully” described mordantly in Bob Dylan’s song — determined to subjugate its neighbors through violence. But the Jews of Israel are not “colonial-settlers.” They returned to the Land of Israel in order to resurrect their ancient Jewish commonwealth on the very land where Jews had been living, albeit often in small numbers, uninterruptedly since 1500 B.C. The Muslims did not arrive in the area until two millennia later, in the seventh century A.D., when they iunvaded from western Arabia.

The atrocities committed by 6,000 Hamas members and several hundred Gazan civilians who were eager to join in the fun of raping and murdering Jews were not a story concocted by the “Zionist entity.” There are videos taken by the Hamas killers themselves, so proud were they of the horrors they could inflict on the hated Zionists. There are the burned bodies of babies, the corpses of families whose members were bound together and then set on fire; there were the bodies of Israeli women with their breasts lopped off, and Israeli men whose genitalia were sliced off, and their eyes gouged out, before they were killed.

The Palestinian Authority now wants us to believe that all that never happened. No one was burned alive. No bodies were mutilated. And no civilians were killed — only soldiers, One might have expected the PA to admit that Hamas, its enemy in the struggle for control of the Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, had been guilty of such atrocities, but apparently it is more interested in painting the Zionists as liars intent on blackening the image of Hamas. That’s how deep the hatred for “the Jews” runs, even among the so-called “moderates” of the PA.
