Much as summer follows spring and lootings follow natural disasters in major cities, media narratives about “Islamophobia” quickly follow every Muslim terrorist attack.
How long it takes varies depending on the death toll, how shocking the attack is, and what else is in the news.
After the New Orleans Car Jihad attack, how long did it take the media to pivot over to describing Muslims as the real victims?
On Jan 3, The Dallas Morning News had already run its obligatory moral inversion narrative. “North Texas Muslim leaders react to New Orleans attack, brace for rise in Islamophobia.”
The local ‘public’ outlet, Houston Public Media, waited an extra day to post, “‘This act has no place in Islam.’ Houston Muslims worry about Islamophobia after New Orleans attack”.
The Dallas Morning News, of course, led with a quote from CAIR with no mention of its support for terrorism. CAIR claimed that “bottom-feeding extremist groups have been rejected by the overwhelming majority of the Muslim world.”
Since CAIR’s leaders have defended Hamas and celebrated Oct 7, they presumably don’t believe it to be extremist or bottom-feeding.
The vast majority of quotes came from CAIR, but the Dallas Morning News also found time to talk to someone from the nearly as awful Islamic Society of North America.
Houston Public Media also centered Islamists complaining about “Islamophobia” after 9/11.
And so once more, the moral inversion of Islamic terrorism is complete.

Afraid of elevators, take the stairs. Afraid of flying, take advantage of other transportation.

I’ve read that between 5% and 35% of Muslims think extremism, jihad, sharia are just ok. That’s between 1% and 7% of the world population. COVID shut down the world with a death rate far less than that, and yet we’re told to be loving, kind, tolerant, multicultural.

“New Orleans attacker searched for Mardi Gras, German Christmas market rampage: FBI”
“Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the driver behind the Bourbon Street attack on New Year’s, researched New Orleans and the deadly Christmas market attack in Germany in the hours and weeks before the attack, the FBI said in an update Tuesday.
“An initial review of his electronics shows Jabbar conducted many online searches,” the FBI said on Tuesday.
The FBI said that “as late as mid-November,” Jabbar looked up how to access a balcony on Bourbon Street, researched Mardi Gras and looked up information about several shootings in New Orleans.
In the hours before driving his rented vehicle into a crowd on Bourbon Street, Jabbar also searched for information “about the car that rammed into innocent victims in a Christmas market in Germany just ten days before,” the FBI said.
The FBI provided the update on Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation into the terrorist attack that resulted in 14 deaths and 57 injuries. Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Houston, was shot and killed by police after the attack.
The FBI has said that Jabbar acted alone but was “inspired by ISIS.”
In the Tuesday update, the FBI said new evidence “indicates Jabbar became a more devout Muslim in 2022.”
“During this time, Jabbar began isolating himself from society,” the FBI update continued. “Around the spring of 2024, Jabbar began following extremist views.”
