Iran’s hope that Trump “will adopt realistic and international law-based policies that respect the interests and wishes of regional nations, including Iran” is a subdued cry of desperation. Iran is deeply afraid of Trump’s sanctions.
The assessment of the Islamic Republic is utterly humiliating to Biden and his administration, as it shamelessly sought to appease Iran and facilitated the release of billions of dollars into its coffers. Iran’s ingratitude toward Biden is a kick on his way out. Meanwhile, the Iranian regime shows what it thinks of strong leaders as it finds polite words to say about Trump.
Despite how Biden kowtowed to Iran, Iran’s deceptive Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei criticized the Biden administration for continuing “its disruptive actions and showed no seriousness regarding negotiations to revive the nuclear deal.” The truth is that it was Trump who recognized Obama’s nuclear deal for what it was (based on lies), and withdrew from it and crippled Iran with sanctions.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that Trump plans to renew a “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran, which is the most “realistic” approach to the Islamic Republic.
“Iran Hopes for ‘Realistic’ U.S. Policies Under Trump,” Iran Wire, January 21, 2025:
Iran’s Foreign Ministry expressed cautious optimism about U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies toward Tehran while sharply criticizing the Biden administration.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that Iran hopes the new U.S. administration will adopt “realistic and international law-based policies” that respect “the interests and wishes of regional nations, including Iran.”
Baghaei delivered a scathing assessment of former President Joe Biden’s tenure, calling it “one of the worst performances in the past 60 years or more.”
He criticized the Biden administration’s handling of nuclear negotiations and continuing sanctions against Iran.
“Unfortunately, over these four years, the U.S. administration continued its disruptive actions and showed no seriousness regarding negotiations to revive the nuclear deal,” he said.
Iran signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with world powers, including the U.S., in 2015.
The agreement limited Tehran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of U.S. and European sanctions…..

After the billions in direct and indirect aid from Obama and Biden, the Iranian government is biting off the hand that fed it and sucking up to Trump. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Let’s hope that Trump’s administration is the one that helps remove the religious dictators from power in Iran.

“Realistic” would be to say to Israel, do what you need to do to keep your people safe.
Those mozlums in control of Iran are not just evil, they are also fools.

From an Iranian POV, Biden was the best POTUS that Iran could ever have hoped for. They’re used to spouting garbage, but this statement is only true from the POV of their enemies, such as Israel and the US. Not their’s!
We should revert to the policy we had on Iran in 2019, and greenlight any attempts, particularly by Iranians themselves, to oust the islamic regime
