According to Turkish sources, Iran has promised to give 1,500 drones to the Kurds in Syria. The Syrian Kurds are regarded as an unacceptable threat by Turkey, which views them as the natural allies of the separatist Kurds inside Turkey. In Ankara, they have decided that the Kurds in Syria must at all costs be prevented from joining forces with the Kurds in Turkey. The Turkish army is now in Syria, having seized the northern part of the country where the Kurds live, and has been conducting raids on their villages. Erdogan appears determined to remain in Syria to suppress the Kurds, but even after that is achieved, the Turkish army may stay on to prevent any resurgence of Kurdish forces. Now Iran has entered the fray, with its promise to supply the Kurds with 1,500 drones. More on this development can be found here: “Turkish media linked to Erdogan claims Iran will send drones to Kurds in Syria – report,” Jerusalem Post, January 12, 2025:
Iran has reportedly agreed to supply 1,500 suicide drones to the Kurdish YPG/PKK group in Syria to counter Turkey’s military operations, a journalist of conservative Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak, known for its support for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erodgan and his Justice and Development Party (AKP), reported on Sunday.
The PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) is a left-wing militia fighting for Kurdish independence in northeast Syria, northern Iraq, and southeastern Turkey, historically areas populated by ethnic Kurds.
The YPG (People’s Defense Units) is a US-backed militia that controls areas of northeast Syria under the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
Turkey’s AKP views both groups as “terror” organizations.
The American government, upon Turkey’s prodding, declared the PKK to be a “terrorist organization”in 1997. However, it has never agreed to declare the YPG as a “terrorist group.” The U.S. regards the YPG as a loyal ally, that played a major role in helping the Americans to defeat ISIS fighters in Syria.
An alleged meeting between Iranian representatives and the Kurdish organization reportedly took place in a market in Iraq, where the Kurds reportedly requested 2,000 drones. According to the unverified report, Iran clarified it could only provide 1,500 units.
Despite claims of an agreement being reached, the shipment was reportedly delayed due to Turkey’s close monitoring and its threat to intercept any drone transfers into Syria. Determined to block the deal, Turkey’s reported efforts have brought cooperation between Iran and the YPG/PKK to a standstill, as per the report….
Turkey’s threat to intercept any transfers of Iranian drones to the Kurds in Syria has put the cooperation between Iran and the Kurds on hold, as they both try to figure out how to safely deliver the drones without Turkey getting in the way.
Abdul Rahman, a Syrian news analyst, cautioned that Yeni Şafak‘s unverified report could mark the return of ISIS near Damascus for the first time since 2018, when the Assad regime regained control of the area. “The resurgence of ISIS in the capital’s vicinity signals a new threat under the current administration and intensifies Syria’s mounting security challenges,” he warned….
Abdul Rahman, who worries about a return of ISIS to the Damascus area, claims there may be a stockpile of Assad’s weapons still hidden that ISIS, or remnants of the old regime, could find, and use. All the more reason, then, to be grateful for the mass destruction of the rest of Assad’s arsenal by the IDF.
So that is where things stand. The Iranians have promised to supply the Kurds in Syria with 1,500 drones. These have only one conceivable use: to be launched by the Kurds against the Turkish military that has seized territory in northern Syria where the Kurds live. The Turks have so far managed to prevent the delivery of those weapons, but the Iranians have not given up trying. And whether they succeed or not, the Turks, under the hotheaded rule of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, may decide to attack, by bombing, military sites inside Iran, at a time when, thanks to the IAF attack on October 26, Iran is without any of its S-300 anti-aircraft defense systems left intact.
What should the Western world do in the face of this impending conflict between Turkey and Iran?
Pull up a chair, watch, and hope that that conflict goes on forever.

Islam is a terrorist enemy to all people, especially women and children as taught in Islam’s Quran. Islam is a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. Specifically, Islam is a Muslim Terrorist Ideology and Criminal Organization of discrimination, segregation, supremacy, genocide, polygamy, deceit, hatred, incitement, sedition, rape, terrorism, and violence against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran.
Non-Muslims CANNOT have peace with Islam and its Muslims because Islam and its murderous god, Allah, demand a continuous, Muslim war against unbelievers since Non-Muslims are CRIMINALS under Islam where Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…” HENCE, NON-MUSLIMS MUST MAKE ISLAM, ITS MOSQUES, ITS SCHOOLS, ITS ORGANIZATIONS, ETC. ILLEGAL UNDER THE LAW. Similarly, Islam and its many Organizations must be identified and declared to be a MUSLIM TERRORIST ORGANIZATION for their funding, teaching, and support of terrorism, violence, and discrimination against Non-Muslims.
Allah in Islam demands SURRENDER which means ‘to Surrender, whether voluntarily or not, by becoming a Muslim’ while Submission, ‘to Submit’, is a voluntary act to follow the authority or control of another. Allah in Quran 49:14 says, “’The Bedouins said, ‘We believed.’ Say,’You did not believe. But say, ‘We surrender (became Muslim as a result of fear).’ And the faith has not entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and his messenger, he will not decrease anything from your works. Surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.’”
Islam promotes a terroristic war against unbelievers when Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”
Allah promises Heavenly Paradise for acts of killing when Quran 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah, so they kill and are killed…”

Consider the source. Sounds like Erdogan is trying to drive a wedge between the USA and the Syrian Kurds. What better way than to link them to Iran!

Any Baluchistan isn’t so happy with Iranian control, neither are Iranian Kurds or Arabs.
Bayraktar drones may be being exported soon.
