A Palestinian prisoner set to be released on Saturday’s hostage-prisoner exchange refused to board the bus to Gaza, KAN News reported.
Originally, two prisoners – who were being held at Israel’s Ktzi’ot Prison – refused to be released as part of the deal with Hamas. However, one was ultimately persuaded and returned to Gaza, KAN added.
The other, however, remained and was replaced with another prisoner.
The prisoner was a senior Fatah official and preferred to stay in prison than return to Gaza, Ynet reported….
Half of the prisoners released on Saturday were serving life sentences for terror attacks….

Since he wants to remain in an Israeli prison, he should be one of the first prisoners they release in the swap. In fact, Israel should seek out the most reluctant prisoners, and offer them to Hamas. Or maybe seek out all the prisoners belonging to the Hamas opposition – Fatah, islamic jihad,… and hand them over to Hamas in exchange for their hostages. That way, anyone who has even the slightest objection to being a front for Hamas in future will absolutely avoid doing any attacks on Israel

The prisoners that are released are not chosen by Israel, they are chosen by Hamas. Some of the terrorist prisoners, Israel has not agreed to release.
