Now there has been praise for incoming President Donald Trump from a most worrisome source, Nihad Awad, the executive director of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Awad is also furious with outgoing President Joe Biden. More on this praise, which is certainly unsettling, and on Awad’s fury against Biden, can be found here: “CAIR slams Biden, praises Trump in welcoming hostage agreement,” JNS, January 16, 2025:
“The Biden administration’s legacy is soaked with the blood of countless Palestinian men, women and children, as well as an untold number of captives who have also been killed in Israel’s indiscriminate bombing campaign with U.S. support,” said Awad.
Awad’s over-the-top hysterical fury with how the Biden administration handled Israel’s effort to defend its people — “soaked with the blood of countless Palestinian men, women and children” — is preposterous. It is Hamas alone that is responsible for the deaths of civilians in Gaza, for the terror group deliberately chooses to embed both its operatives and its weapons in civilian neighborhoods and buildings, using them as human shields; Hamas is determined to increase civilian casualties, which can then be exploited for propaganda purposes. The IDF, on the other hand, tries to minimize civilian casualties. It makes a terrific effort to warn civilians away from sites soon to be targeted; to this end, it has dropped millions of leaflets, sent millions of messages, and made millions of robocalls, all to warn civilians. There has not been, despite Awad’s claim, an “indiscriminate bombing campaign” in Gaza. Along with the extensive warnings given to allow civilians to flee impending danger, Israeli pilots use precision missiles. Furthermore, those pilots are instructed to abort missions if they detect too many civilians in the area of the target.
This conduct by the IDF led one seasoned warrior, British Colonel Richard Kemp, who fought in four campaigns and commanded the British troops in Afghanistan, to describe the IDF as “the most moral army in the world,” while West Point Professor John Spencer, an expert in urban warfare, concluded from his own studies that “ Israel has implemented more precautions to prevent civilian harm than any military in history—above and beyond what international law requires “ But for Nihad Awad, the military aid provided to the IDF by the Biden administration makes it responsible for a cruel bloodletting of innocent civilians; those weapons, he claims, are “soaked with the blood of countless Palestinian men, women, and children.”
“Countless deaths” is Awad’s claim. So let’s count those deaths. Hamas says 46,000 people have died in Gaza so far. According to the IDF, 20,000 of those 46,000 were Hamas fighters. Another 12,000 died as a result of diseases and accidents unrelated to the combat; that figure is arrived at by multiplying the average number of such deaths in Gaza — 800 — that occurred monthly before the war broke out, by the number of months, 15, that the war has gone on. This results in a figure of 12,000 Gazans who died from non-combat related causes. We. must subtract the number of Hamas operatives killed (20,000), as well as the number of civilians who have died as a result of diseases and accidents (12,000) during the past 15 months, and we end up with a total of 13,000 civilian deaths in Gaza as a result of the war. That also means that the civilian-to-combatant ratio in the Gaza war is 13:20, or less than 1:1. It’s an amazing achievement for the IDF. We must remember that the UN has said that in all the wars fought since 1945, the average civilian-to-combatant ratio has been 9:1. In Afghanistan, the ratio was 5:1, and in Iraq, it was 3:1. But no country has managed to come close to the 13:20, less than 1:1, that the IDF has achieved in Israel. Perhaps Secretary of State Marco Rubio can issue a statement about the civilian-to-combatant ratio attained by the IDF in the Gaza war, as compared to other wars. For many, it would be eye-opening
Now CAIR’s executive director, Nihad Awad, has praised Trump. It’s an embarrassment. For the next four years, President Trump, hear our cry de profundis: please bitterly disappoint the now-crowing Awad. Make him even more furious with you than he now is with Joe Biden.

It is true that Gaza civilians paid a big price for Oct. 7th. But that price is less than what Hamas says it is. German civilians paid a big price for supporting the Nazi regime and Gaza civilians paid a big price for supporting their nazis. If you want to celebrate more Oct. 7th’s than be prepared to suffer. Both regimes, the German Nazis and Hamas Nazis core belief and strategy is anti-Semitism and the eradication of Jews.
The chief Palestinian spokesman during the 1940’s was the Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammed Amin al-Husseini who was an out and out Nazi who spent the war years in Germany transmitting Arabic broadcasts into the Middle East to urge Arabs to kill Jews. He raised a Muslim Waffen SS army in Yugoslavia which killed Serbs, Roman or gypsies and Jews. SS Chief Heinrich Himmler praised the Mufti, stating that the Nazi leadership “has been closely following the battle of freedom-seeking Arabs – and especially in Palestine – against the Jewish invaders.” Himmler ends his letter by bidding the Mufti “warm wishes for the continuation of your battle until the big victory.”
This was the Palestinian “voice” in WW II. Today Hamas is the voice and let us not forget that the PA edited their own version of Mien Kampf of which the IDF found hundreds of copies in Gaza.
In short, if Gazans and other Arabs now called Palestinians since 1960s do not want to be bombed and attacked, then stop using Nazis as your role model and acting like savages.

If Trump knew islam….like Mr. Spencer, Mr. Ibrahim and Ms Geller know islam….he’d be appalled at being praised by awad….the ghoul who said he was “happy” about what hamas and other mozlum murderers did on Oct 7, ’23.
If Trump knew islam, he’d know that hamas will keep on murdering Jews and keep on blaming Israel for the deaths. A “ceasefire” will mean only that mozlums can kill, while expecting Israel to remain silent and still.
The fact that awad praised hamas’s slaughter of innocent people in Israel, should give Trump pause to wonder how he could now be the object of the mozlum brotherhood’s member, hamas supporter, lying hoaxer’s praise.
