Pocket knives over 1.5 inches had to be carried in “locked containers” in public.
After a series of Muslim mass stabbings, Germany responded with “weapons-free zones.” These are akin to “gun-free zones” in America, but they also ban knives and mace.
In today’s FPM+ article, “Germany Tried to Fight Jihad With ‘Knife-Free Zones,” (paywalled) I describe the absurdity of the efforts at “knife-control”:
“Germany already had some of the tightest ‘knife control’ laws in the world. Pocket knives over 1.5 inches had to be carried in “locked containers” in public and “stored safely within the home”. The new laws would however also limit the size of kitchen knives and other ‘work’ knives carried in public to 2 inches which would not even qualify as a paring knife.”
Banning knives didn’t stop Muslim mass stabbing attacks. There was one on New Year’s Eve.
But the effect of banning mace, pepper spray, etc was to actually prevent women from defending themselves and from stopping Muslim terrorists.
On New Year’s Eve, a Syrian Muslim man stole two knives from a nearby supermarket and then severely stabbed a 69-year-old man and attacked a younger man. A woman carrying mace that would be illegal in a ‘weapons-free zone’ finally drove the Syrian Muslim away.
Banning weapons doesn’t stop the perpetrators, it only ties the hands of their victims.

In the UK it was – and I guess still is – against the law to carry anti person sprays – pepper, CS, mace whatever.
These are regarded as ‘offensive weapons’ there is no acceptance that they are defensive.
Carry one and you get arrested. I think they cannot even be legally purchased in Britain even via the internet.
So tough luck British women. Why should you harm your attacker? He may be a poor migrant seeking asylum from persecution in his own country – are you some sort of racist?
British ideas of law and order and self defence need a radical overhaul.
Our Police all now need to be carrying firearms and in all honesty the British public need the right to at least carry a pistol. This could be restricted to adults of good character, with no criminal record or evidence of mental instability and a permanent place of abode.
The recent Jihadi attacks have seen the attackers taken down by the use of firearms.
In many British towns, or even cities outside London if could be 30 mins or longer before a firearm officer could get there. A lot of people could be killed in that time.

Oaths dont have any meaning for them. They will betray and stab each other in the back just to stay in parliament for another few years.
If the worst comes and Islam takes over I want to see how Islam deals with these traitors once they are no longer needed.

And posted signs saying ” BEWARE Majority Muslim Area. Enter at your own risk.”
Non Muslim areas would have signs saying “Muslims subject to frisk and search for weapons”

For some time, in recent years, there would be stories of elderly ladies defending against armed intruders (burglars/rapists), showing what can be done by someone with a weapon and knowledge of how to use if for self-protection. The perps flee for their lives.

Some US states have banned carrying insect reppellent against attackers. I would not be surprised if Germany did the same–I have not able to find information on this. I know that carrying pepper spray for defense in the UK is illegal.
