Germany: ‘Mecca Security’ was hired to protect Magdeburg Christmas Market, left 6-meter gap between traffic barriers

Anyone who might have suggested that Mecca Security might not have been the best choice for this job would have been excoriated as “Islamophobic.” And that’s worse than mass murder for Europeans.

Mecca Security was supposed to secure the Magdeburg Christmas market. Depending on the day of the week and the time, two to six security guards were responsible for securing the entire market.

A gap between two concrete bollards enabled Taleb al-Abdulmohsen to kill several people at the Magdeburg Christmas market.

After the attack on the Magdeburg Christmas market, new details about the Christmas market’s security concept have come to light. According to this, the company Mecca Security GmbH was responsible for securing the Christmas market with mobile patrols, as Bild reports.

Depending on the day of the week and the time, a different number of employees were scheduled. From Sunday to Thursday, only two security guards were hired from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and four security guards from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. At the time of the attack, on a Friday at 7 p.m., at least six Mecca Security employees were scheduled. These six employees were supposed to secure the entire Christmas market with thousands of visitors and would also have been responsible for guarding the escape routes.

In order to allow rescue workers access to the area, a six-meter-wide gap was left between two concrete barriers. According to the security concept, this should have been only four meters wide and should have been closed with a steel chain and then opened when rescue workers needed to enter the site. The attacker Taleb al-Abdulmohsen used this open gap to kill five people at the Christmas market and injure hundreds more in a BMW.

Security would also have been responsible for opening and closing the rescue gap. How they were supposed to monitor and ensure the Christmas market with such a small number of staff remains unclear. It is also questionable whether it was even planned to place a steel chain on the concrete blocks to protect against attacks. In order to be able to place this steel chain between the concrete bollards, the concrete bollards would have needed eyelets. And these eyelets were not there.

This security concept may have legal consequences for the city of Magdeburg. The entire concept had to be approved by the city, with far too few security personnel. There have now been several complaints against those responsible in the city of Magdeburg and the police because of the blatant deficiencies.

    • I have been to Germany may times over the last 40 years and the changes that has come to the German society has truly disgusted me. Starting in the late 80s the Germans started ignoring the Crimes Muslims committed against each other because it was just “typical Muslim Bul S***and they weren’t going to waste their time with it. At least I could go almost anywhere I pleased with little fear of being in a crime victim. Soon thereafter the German Govt started pushing out Germans from the large and small towns and moving muslims in. Now there are many towns I will no longer go to.

      The Germans are afraid to confront their Gov’t about the muslim problem and the gov’t continues to import them because they need the workers. Problem is they dont work. Most are on Social Benefits,

  3. This is ripe for some lawsuits, if permitted in Germany. Hiring mozlums to protect Christians….worse than hiring a dog to protect the family cat, or the family cat to protect the pet canary.

    Hiring mozlums to do any job is a mistake that should not be made. But hiring Christian-hating slime to protect Christians at a market…..someone had to know what was bound to be allowed of their fellow murderous slime.
    How many mozlums occupy seats in that’s city’s government?

      • You don’t need to suspect some nefarious purpose to hiring that security company. It is more of a testament to how cheap the city counciI is in providing the lowest cost option to meet the minimum requirements of the insurance companies.
        In the past l worked for private contract security companies. The basic formula is to pay as little as possible while providing little if any sort of training. Consequently they hire primarily immigrants since they are often forced to work for peanuts. The Germans are getting exactly what they’re paying for. Of course this doesn’t address the injured and murdered victims. All l can comment in that respect is don’t depend on the powers that be for your safety.
