Allah in Qur’an 8:39 says, “And engage in war with them[Non-Muslims] until there will not be sedition and the religion will be completely to Allah…”
Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed JIHAD with THEIR MONEY AND THEIR LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.”
Allah in Quran 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah, so they kill and are killed…” For this killing act, a sacred and holy act, deceitful Allah spiritually rewards Muslims with Paradise.

That is the problem w/ labeling “moderate muslim” countries such as Egypt as being safe to visit. Just b’cos President el-Sisi might be an ally doesn’t mean that Egyptians are not dangerous. Even if muslims love spreading the propaganda that they are the most hospitable people in the world

I was in the exact spot where he was attacked, on holiday only a few weeks ago. Talking to Egyptians I had the impression that they like the money from tourism, but there is a fundamental dislike of what they call “kuffir” (infidel and christians). Their dislike of Jews is even worse. For this reason I will never go back to Egypt again.

No one should visit any Muslim country. Here are the reasons:
1) Danger. Think of the attacks on the Swiss tourists at Luxor, when dozens were killed. Or the random attacks on tourists simply doing their. shopping — as in this case — or simply walking around Cairo. Decades ago I was walking in the souk in Tangier, helping a Canadian couple avoid the local fraudsters trying to sell them modern China-made rugs as “antique oriental rugs.” After I had prevented them from being cheated, an Arab came up behind me– he had apparently observed what I was doing — and whispered, in English, “If you continue preventing our sales I am going to kill you.” I believed him.
2)Giving aid to an enemy. We should not be providing funds to members of Dar al-Islam. Muslims regard Infidels as “the most vile of created beings.” Why should we help financially those who think this way?
Go to Italy, France, England, Peru, Ethiopia, Canada, Israel if wanderlust has struck you, or better yet, spend your tourist dollars at home. There is plenty to sea, from sea to shining sea.

My mother-in-law was a docent at several museums in the US with ancient Egyptian collections. She went to Egypt not long after the terrible Jihad attacks on tourists at Luxor in 1997. She always told us about her trips well ahead of time, save in this case. I’m sure she realized that her son and I would question the safety of such a trip. Luckily, she was safe–but that was more luck than anything else. 62 people were murdered in the Luxor Jihad attack.

Spent some time awaiting SH-60 transportation in Hurghada, Egypt while active-duty Navy in 1995.
Seemed pretty safe there at the time – as long as you did not leave the resort.
