A new legislative caucus in the Colorado House of Representatives seeks to elevate the concerns of the Muslim, Middle Eastern, Northern African and South Asian communities in Colorado as President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House.
“This past year and an impending Trump administration has underscored the need to create a united caucus that ensures our community’s representation and presence is elevated and has an uncompromising agency at the Capitol,” Democratic Rep. Iman Jodeh, an Aurora Democrat, said in a statement announcing the caucus formation.
Jodeh is the first Muslim and first Palestinian American elected to the Colorado Legislature. She won a third term to House District 41 with over 60% of the vote earlier this month. She has been a member of the Black Democratic Legislative Caucus since 2020….
The mission of the Joint MENASA and Muslim Caucus — the acronym is for Middle Eastern, North African, South Asian — will be to protect civil rights and combat xenophobia and Islamophobia through the lawmaking process and public engagement.
History Colorado estimates that about 70,000 Muslims live in Colorado. The Census Bureau estimates that about 42,000 Arab Americans live in Colorado.
The caucus also aims to ensure representation for the MENASA population in Colorado who are in the Sikh, Baháʼí, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and Catholic minorities.
“These communities also face anti-Arab and anti-Brown hate crimes, xenophobia, and discrimination. Our region and population are unique because we are forced to identify primarily through religious narratives rather than our unified identities. It is time to challenge this monolithic framing,” Jodeh said….

I grew up in Denver and graduated from Lincoln High School. Went into the service as the Vietnam war was happening. Have not lived in Colorado since then but visit family yearly in the state. Colorado used to be a grand state, but people from California and like minded people moved to Colorado bringing their political agenda with them. Colorado is now a cesspool of liberal thinking and practice. There is no hope in healing the state. Colorado is a state which is like California, New York and Minnesota in which the illness of liberal thought has infected the society with people bent on destroying the common good of the population. There is no hope for Colorado and their agenda for increasing Muslim membership in the Democatic party will end in alienating the few responsible people residing in the state. Colorado has joined the ranks of worthless states such as California and New York, which have been ruined by the illness of Liberalism.

Over twenty years ago, my daughter & I went to Granada Spain to visit my niece who was studying there. A few days after we settled in, I saw a sign that said; ‘Arab district,’ in Spanish. We knew what it said since Spanish is our background along w/German/Argentinian. We proceeded to walk for several blocks before we saw anything but a lone cafe sitting in the middle of what looked like, a desert. I told my daughter/niece & the Argentinian perhaps go inside and have lunch so we went in. There was no one in the cafe for about twenty minutes when an Arab Muslim came out of nowhere out to the front of the cafe. Since we were the only one’s there, he came to greet us. He seemed very friendly. He sat at our table and mentioned that he was the owner of the Cafe. He asked us where we were from since he told us we didn’t look like the locals nor did we sound like them.
I stated we were Americans of Spanish background. Anyway, I can’t recall what we all talked about but we were there probably for about two hours and were getting hungry so I told the Arab that we were going to leave to go have lunch (since it seemed he wasn’t going to feed us). He then said, well if you come back tomorrow, lunch would be on him. I asked our small group about what they thought and they said fine, since he seemed very nice.
We went back the next day, again I can’t recall the jest of the whole conversation but the Arab was taking the conversation geared to politics.
Again, I can’t recall the whole conversation but what I do recall, I will never forget what he stated to us.
He stated; ‘We are going to take back Spain.!’ I was shocked and told him, Spain was never Your country, you conquered it for about three hundred years..!’
He then changed his demeanor, stood up and pointed a finger right in my face (I was doing all the talking) and stated; ‘AHAH !’ And we’re going to conquer ‘Your’ country (meaning America)!
I was angry but at that time, not totally familiar w/Arabs & Islam, and I asked him, ‘just how do you plan on doing this?’ He stated; ‘We are already coming in through Canada & through Mexico.
Since then, I immersed myself in Islam and what they’ve been doing for the past Fifteen centuries; Conquering, raping, killing, stealing, slavery and overtaking of nations.
Folks; This is their goal, the goal of Islam. Initially, the Middle East was all Christian before Mo got on the scene. Since then, the terror of Islam has been conquering and killing all over the world by the sword. Europe is already conquered and America is next.
Right now, Communism & Islam are working together to destroy/conquer the west. But in the End, only ONE can remain in power. Why? Because Islam is a political ideology & Communism has the State to claim as their god. Both are dangerously Evil !
Pray America, get back to Almighty God for He is the only One who can save the world..!
