One thing about President Trump in his last term was that he was pretty good at course corrections, and I expect that to continue in this term. For instance, he had HR McMaster as his National Security Advisor, but fired him after a while. Same w/ a lot of other people. I can see it happening this time as well: if Steve Witkoff turns out more deals that blow up like the current Hamas deal w/ Israel might any time, he’d probably be shown the door. This is not like Bush, Obama or Biden who used to simply double down on stupid policies
So the gloating that jihadist groups are doing right now will likely be short lived. And actually pretty expensive for them, if they come away w/ the wrong messages, since neither Trump nor Netanyahu would be shy of blowing them to smithereens, as was proven in the cases of al Baghdadi, Soleimani, Haniyeh and Nasrallah
