Yet another convert to Islam somehow gets the crazy idea that his new religion calls for violence against unbelievers. Authorities remain resolutely incurious about this recurring phenomenon.

An alleged Islamic State supporter allegedly plotted a terror attack using mustard gas, a court heard.
Jordan Richardson, of Howden, near Goole, East Yorkshire, was at Westminster magistrates’ court on Monday accused of engaging in conduct in preparation of an act of terrorism.
He was arrested on Dec 19 after he allegedly made Instagram posts expressing his support for the terrorist group.
When arrested, he was found with a document that purported to set out an attack plan, referring to weapons and killing bystanders, the court was told.
He also had a handwritten recipe for sulphur mustard, a toxic “blister agent”, it is claimed.
David Cawthorne, for the prosecution, told the court that the recipe had been assessed as viable by experts and was the kind of gas that could be put in a grenade.
He alleged that Mr Richardson’s internet searches indicated he was a “recent convert to Islam”.
The court heard that police had found a crossbow and a knife when conducting a search of Mr Richardson’s home.
Searches of digital devices showed he had expressed a desire to kill or harm infidels and members of the Jewish population, it is alleged. Research of potential targets included a shopping centre, the court heard….

ALWAYS with greatest respect to RS, why pretend surprise? This is what Islam has taught and practiced for 1400 years. In my experience, the greatest obstacle to alerting sleeping people of the treachery that is part and parcel of the “final, perfect, complete and unchangeable” teachings and practice of Islam is overcoming the lie that it is the “religion of peace”.

GI, without qualification, I have the highest regard for RS and you. Having observed the sarcastic disbelief for years, I think it is time to question whether continuing the practice prevents delivery of the simple message that Islam has 3 goals for us, Convert, Submit to humiliation or slavery, Die. They are DEAD serious and have followed that rule for 1400 years, Joking and sarcasm complicates the process of communicating with people who don’t want to be burdened with the truth. With respect, Frank, Robert Spencer has indeed made it clear what Islam has in store for us if not defended against.
I know that we have disagreed before over whether sarcasm is weakness or confuses things–I don’t believe that if does. Evil *hates* being mocked, and I don’t believe that mocking evil is indicative of weakness. But this is certainly something that people of good will can have different approaches to.

Mechanical Engineer who works with steel and aluminum. Many years ago, I needed to drill a Grade 8 bolt to make a punch. A friend who sold the bolt predicted it would be hard to impossible. I worked for a while and found the right tools to drill a 1/16-inch hole in a grade 8 bolt. The punch works perfectly in the unique machine I assembled.
WE, you, RS and me, are presenting our case to a jury; A very large jury which is the audience reading here. MOST of the people reading here know enough to discount the jokes and sarcasm. The problem I see is that some readers because of the sarcasm fail to take seriously the intentions and deadly practice of Islam. Islam has killed in 1400 years between 250 and 1000 million people and enslave billions more. Overcoming the “just like us” delusion is essential to stopping their victory. Why should anyone take history seriously if we don’t?

With deep respect, I think that Robert Spencer uses “jokes and sarcasm” in order to keep from going totally and profoundly depressed as he writes / comments on Jihad Watch feature articles day after day after day about the deadly serious topic of islam.
Likely a coping mechanism, along with his saxophone playing – and interest in jazz / Major League Baseball.

James, we share great respect for each other RS and GI. It is with that respect that I share a conclusion from now 44 years of being a licensed lawyer who has argued hundreds if not thousands of times before judges who did not like me but ruled often in my clients’ favor.
There is no need for us to surrender to delusions of reprieve and joke about a present deadly threat to our lives and society. We are not in a death camp, either real or self-imposed. The delusion of reprieve is necessary for survival when powerless in an actual death camp. Viktor Frankl found that by his experience. WE are not powerless.
I suggest the audience we address is composed of 2 general classes, those who know about Islam and discount the jokes, and those who don’t and cling to the “religion of peace” LIE. I bought that lie for 7 years until Robert Spencer appeared on Glenn Beck and talked me into reading my first of over 30 books on Islamic subjects, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades. I still feel embarrassed and foolish for the 7 years of delusion that controlled me.
For 30 years I visited a church community with many well-educated members. As almost my entire adopted family was Baptist, I am comfortable in their company. For a time, they sent missionary groups to Africa to try to talk Muslims into converting to Christianity. We both know that is a good way to be killed today and has been for 1400 years. This is to me the 2nd group I postulate, the doubters who refuse to face the details of a community that has taught and practiced for 1400 years war, murder, slavery conquest and looting. In that time well over 200 million people have been murdered, and more every day today. This is not a joke.
There are many ways to present a case to a judge. I know what has worked well for me and my clients. It could be that my continuing objections are another way to help some momentarily blind people see.

James, I have many times presented my clients’ original arguments and won before judges who couldn’t stand the sight of me. I did that by presenting fully detailed evidence in my pleadings so they could not say they didn’t know and then appealing them if I disagreed. The embarrassment of being appealed was enough to make them listen. I was the only debtor’s lawyer who would appeal their decisions, which I did 3 times each. Knowing I had good reasons got them off “That’s the way we’ve always done it.” It is hard to find a joke in the ongoing murder of hundreds of millions of human beings. Peace Be With You.

Something additional to ponder. What is the goal? To pick a fight with an opponent who is statistically certain to never change, or to wake up an uncommitted observer who is too lazy to challenge the accepted “wisdom” (e.g. “Religion of Peace”)?
I think the courtroom is a perfect analogy. Having been the plaintiff advancing original and novel arguments against lawyers who lived on “That’s the way we always did it”; The time to antagonize and infuriate the opposing side is before the trial to get them to make fools of themselves before the judge. When in front of the judge humor and sarcasm wins the case for the opponent. The judge does not appreciate humor in place of facts and law.
Who is the judge? It is every undecided person reading here. Many people reading here know to discount humor in the face of a community of murder. Members of the community of murder may get irritated by the humor. But the uninformed and undecided, as I proudly accept being for at least 7 years, need to hear the clear facts without being obscured by jokes.
We are writing in a “court of ideas” trying a case for the survival or destruction of our society in front of millions of judges: those reading directly and those they influence by their opinions.

The Ayatollah Khomeini said “Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious…”
I don’t think we have to accept this. We can not only hate islam, but love freedom and democracy–and each other.
Sarcaieeive that it is weak or delusional. Many have fought evil and found humor a useful tool–Churchill certainly used humor but could still be entirely serious about opposing the evil of Fascism.
As always, we can agree to disagree. There are many ways to oppose evil; sarcasm and humor is just one small tack to take.
If anyone is interested in this, they might consider watching some of Robert Spencer and David Wood’s videos. Often hilarious–yet still entirely serious about the job at hand.

WHO is the desired audience? Committed believers who might take offense at humor, or misinformed doubters who refused to see the truth about 1400 years of murder. There is no real chance of many believers daring to change because of the death penalty. But the temporarily blind, as I was, can be brought to see with the truth. The ongoing daily murder totaling between 250 and 1000 million people in 1400 years is not a joke. Would humor be found discussing the Holocaust?

GI please understand that I wish to HELP RS present a winning case to the real judges I think we need to persuade to our view. Those judges are NOT the opponents who have adopted Islam but are the people who imagine that Islam is benign and “just like us”. A few like our admired Mark and Brigett Gabriel, and Wafa Sultan will see the light. But for the vast majority they are satisfied to side with murderous rules. The people at stake are just like me. Until RS appeared on Glenn Back, I bought GWB’s LIE of the “Religion of Peace”. I listened because RS presented himself as the scholar he is and NOT a comedian. I doubt I would have read his book and now about 30 others had he lost me with sarcasm. Make it clear, I wish RS and you the very best that life has to offer and the greatest success you can imagine. This is what I have done for every client starting with the first person I spoke for as an intern, 45 years ago.

I just don’t believe that this necessarily entails showing Islam unearned respect. We can of course agree to disagree here. I think that Robert Spencer is often very funny. One need not squelch their sense of humor in order to be serious in facing down Islam or any other evil.
Winston Churchill was very serious about opposing Fascism–but he often exhibited a very sharp sense of humor, as well.

GI, I do not care how committed followers feel. I care about reaching the truly ignorant people who imagine without knowing for themselves. WHO is the desired audience? Who are WE trying to inform and win to OUR side? The desired audience we desperately need to reach is not persuaded by humor, but facts and law itself in the form of the actual teachings and historical practice of Islam. I repeat that I may be a good example of that persuadable audience. I have persuaded judges who hated the sight of me in their courtrooms many times. Our situation and goal here is no different.

For the most part, the authorities don’t want to acknowledge the role of islam in terror attacks, and imo, it’s due in part to the fact they don’t have any idea how to stop it.
They have allowed so many mozlums to enter the country, those ones have produced many children who have grown up to be like their mozlum parents, and many psychopaths in the general population have “converted” because they see a license to murder in the demands of the book of demon filth; thereby making a sum total too large for the government to control.
It’s like a cancer patient in denial. As long as the patient denies his cancer, it can’t kill him…he thinks.
As long as the authorities deny islam’s role in cases such as this, mozlums are free to keep planning and carrying out terror without a worry about islam being blamed.
This evil goon may “support” the “terror group,” but what is more important is the fact that he now believes he has a *right* to murder others due to what he has learned about islam.
He may have salivated over the idea of all those young girls and boys just waiting for him.
The good part: they did catch him before he could murder innocent people.

I find that Western converts to Islam are the worse of the lot. They believe embracing Islam means the requirement to carry out terror attacks against the “Lesser Satan”. They reach for bombs and guns as the truth of the koran and true, they are not far off from discovering the “truth” of Islam. But while native Muslims who are brought up on Hate for Israel from infancy, these Westerners are closer to Nazis who have no Hitler to lead them so they just want to be lonewolf terrorists, as the next best thing.
