The international media has been trying to portray these “rebels” as plucky freedom fighters against the tyrant Assad, but actually they’re Islamic jihadis who will impose Sharia and make life miserable for the remaining Christians of Syria.
The Islamist group HTS has officially taken over Syria.
Earlier today, they announced Sharia law will soon be implemented.
Christian families have also been told that they might “search their homes” in the next days.

AMMAN/BEIRUT/CAIRO, Dec 8 (Reuters) – Syrian rebels declared President Bashar al-Assad’s ouster after seizing control of Damascus on Sunday, forcing him to flee and ending his family’s decades of rule after more than 13 years of civil war in a seismic moment for the Middle East.
The Islamist rebels also dealt a major blow to the influence of Russia and Iran in the heart of the region, key allies who propped up Assad during critical periods in the conflict.
Iran’s embassy was stormed by Syrian rebels following their capture of Damascus, Iran’s English-language Press TV reported on Sunday.
Syria’s army command notified officers on Sunday that Assad’s rule had ended, a Syrian officer who was informed of the move told Reuters.
But the military later said it was continuing operations against “terrorist groups” in the key cities of Hama and Homs and in the Deraa countryside.
Assad, who has not spoken in public since the sudden rebel advance a week ago, flew out of Damascus for an unknown destination earlier on Sunday, two senior army officers told Reuters, as rebels said they had entered the capital with no sign of army deployments.
His whereabouts now – and those of his wife Asma and their two children – remain unknown….

I was thinking the same. it’s just being replaced with something worse – Islamist Jihadi’s who happen to be Sunni’s. They will be massacring the Shia’s who were in power and Christians which Syria originally was before Islam was invented. I think the West and other non-Muslim countries should be careful with what they are supporting or cheering.
We are not all ignorant of Islamist devices, wiles and schemes except for the political elite in the West

The U.S. and some other countries should immediately send troops to protect the Christians in Aleppo and elsewhere.

But when the inevitable flood of ¨asylum seekers¨ reaches the West, nearly ALL of them will be subscribers to the VERY SAME ideology of their supposed persecutors.
The REAL victims of persecution will be languishing in dungeons, torture chambers, forced ¨marriages¨ (i.e. sex slavery), and premature graves.

The Christians will need to break from the Alawites, and instead ally w/ the Druze, the Kurds and if possible, Israel. Cross-border, they should ally w/ the Maronites in Lebanon

I think if I was a Christian living there, I’d be out of Syria, as quick as I could! I just can’t figure out why Christians stay in a muslim majority country, it doesn’t make any sense at all to me. It’s just their own dang fault, if there going to stay around, and thinking, that they’ll be fine….I guess some just deserve what they get, for not using their brain. So sad.

Christians in Syria have long defended themselves, unlike many Chirstian populations elsewhere. (You can google “Syrian Christian Militias”–although much of the information is biased against Christians).
I can very much understand not wanting to be driven out of a country that was majority-Christian for centuries, and fighting to stay.
But now–given how many of the rebels are members of Jihad terror groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda–that it is time for Syrian Christians to flee. I just hope they can find a safe place to flee *to*.
