One of the classic antisemitic libels is that Jews will do anything for money. This old libel was propagated recently on official Palestinian Authority TV by a PA advisor. He spouted that since Jews have no religious connection to the land, they were enticed to come to Israel with the promise of higher salaries than in the West (spoiler: salaries are not higher in Israel).
This is part of the PA’s ongoing denial of the history of the Land of Israel in order to deny Israel’s right to exist. Put simply, the PA says that Jews came to Israel not because of the right to self-determination in their historical homeland, but because they just wanted money:

Morrar is using classic Antisemitism to dismiss thousands of years of Jewish religious, historical, and cultural history and ties to the Land of Israel while perpetuating the lie that Jews are a foreign, invasive force….

The writer of the article needs to read history. There were no Muslims for about 5000 years after God told Abraham start a people dedicated to Him. Muslims came about in 400 AD. The land belongs to Israel. Its plain and simple. Follow the archeology.

I tend to agree w/ you. I have listened to a lot of Jay Smith lately, and his analysis is very persuasive. I have myself been mentally analyzing this not from the POV of the manuscripts or the original qiblas, but rather, on the locus of the Arab conquests during the time they happened, and what contemporary Byzantine historians said about them
For starters, the conquests couldn’t have started even from Medina, since in those days, the Damascus-Medina railroad didn’t exist until centuries later, when the Ottomans built them. A horde of camel archers and camel swordsmen, which was the primary mode of fighting at the time, would have been completely exhausted at Yarmouk, which is pretty close to Damascus but way too far from Medina. Any Syrian army in Damascus would have had no trouble trouncing them

Based on the timeline Jay set out about the authors of various works, such as the hadiths, it’s safe to say that islam wasn’t fully codified until the reign of Tamerlane. Which throws into question claims that a lot of rulers prior to him actually embraced islam, which seems to be the historical narrative

All anyone has to do to see the Truth is to have a look at the Dead Sea Scrolls found in a cave during the past century, but some of the words were from the days of Isaiah,200 years before the Babylonians were defeated by the Medes and Persians. The scrolls are around 2000 years old.
That puts just one bit of *history* regarding Israel (named for the father of twelve men whose names are embedded in the history of that Land). Judah, whose line produced Kings, and Levi whose line produced Priests.

Here is a country, that has been encouraging Aliya from countries as far off as India, and has in the past evacuated Jews from countries like Yemen and Ethiopia, not just due to persecution or poverty, but b’cos they felt a sacred connection to the land of Israel. And here he claims that the Jews wouldn’t hesitate to live in Jordan or Egypt
One can argue that in pre-islamic times, the Sinai could have been regarded as an extension of the land of Israel, while parts of Jordan, like Amman and Petra, might have as well. But can Morrar make the case that (observant) Jews would be just as happy to settle in Palmyra, Aleppo, Assyria, Nubia, Medina, Aden… given the chance?

A young black American girl told me recently that Palestinians have always been in that area until the Jews came from Europe and tried to slaughter them all.
I noticed there is not much point in discussing any historical FACTS with this person so instead I asked her which is the older of these three Religious Books.
1) The Bible.
2) The Torah.
3) The Quran.
Her reply was to ask me if I was a Trump supporter, so I responded with..”Do you think only Trump supporters know something about history of the Middle East… She walked away shaking her head.
