More than 800 Palestinians who came to Australia on tourist visas have been granted work, Medicare and study rights as the government speeds up processing of humanitarian visas, ending more than a year of limbo.
In an interview with SBS Arabic, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed he had personally transferred “a bit less than half” of the cohort in Australia on 12-month visitor visas to the 786 Temporary (Humanitarian Concern) visa — which is valid for three years….
“Eventually I’m moving everyone from the protection pathway to the humanitarian pathway, subject to the normal security checks,” Burke said.
The process requires tourist-visa holders to first apply for a subclass 449 protection visa — without Medicare access — before they can apply for the longer-term visa….
The rapid processing of visas represents a sharp gear-change from the government, which had in October granted humanitarian visas to just twelve families.
In contrast, more than 5,000 humanitarian visas were promptly issued to Afghans fleeing the Taliban, and 4,877 for Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s invasion.
“Effectively this is the government saying: ‘You’ve been through enough’,” Burke said….
Burke said “everyone” issued a humanitarian visa will be “subject to the normal security checks any government has to do.”
“Everyone is going through all the ASIO checks, and the checks you’d want people to go through,” he said.
The government has been adamant that all Palestinians who have arrived in Australia were checked by security agencies and confirmed it has refused visas due to national security concerns….

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke is more busy with everything else but his own citizens. Now the fool also exposes his citizens to the madness of Islamic ideology. The fool is also signaling that he is essentially rewarding breaking the law. Illegally entering Australia via a tourist visa gets rewarded which will end up in Muslims permanently staying in a society they hate and want to destroy, and collecting Jizya in the form of welfare payments and Medicaid. The fool even guarantees work instead of focusing on his own citizens who need work. The fool does not even have the intelligence to understand that they should be going/diverted to an Islamic country with similar beliefs and hate.
But lets remember that the people who now get exposed to daily riots for Palestine, beheadings, stabbings, FGM, hijabs, Islamists, Halal, Christmas bombings, you name it, must have voted for the fool. I knew exactly what we were getting when Labour was voted in, and the so called spineless leader is just a reflection of the Biden Harris ilk. There’s an Aussie saying that’s been around for eons and that’s “She’ll be right mate!!” And it’s that laid back Aussie attitude that is about to bite us big time when these walking urinals start living out what’s written in that demonic toilet paper rag the Quran. I’ve had a gut full of politicians, and another saying is “The only good politician is a dead one” but it’s the irreversible damage to the country these parasites do while in office just before retiring, rewarded with millions of dollars and a lifetime fat pension. One saying that really is true, and that’s “The only time a politician tells the truth is when they call each other a liar” Burke really is a genuine Burke, and along with Albanese and Wong who obviously hate Israel and possibly even our own country, and in doing so, will bring a curse on us just as the Bible declares.

Does anyone know or can guess, how many countries (not including Islamic countries), are filled to the brim, with muslims? My guess is, every non-muslim country. And it’s for a particular reason, that everyone will know why, soon enough. First up, there will be a peace treaty signed between Israel and Palestine. Don’t believe it will ever happen? Can’t blame you there. Every president, since Pres. Carter, has tried and failed, to win that golden prize. That has stopped now, with president OBiden. He could care less about getting those two leaders together to make peace. And he doesn’t have enough time, if he even cared to try now.

So if these ”Palestinians” were granted Tourist Visas to enter Australia then what Passport were they using as Palestine is NOT a country, never been a country, therefore it is not possible for them to have a Passport of a country that has never existed.
