Thanks to social media, jihadist supporters on al Jazeera don’t have to be from just Qatar: they can be from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, anywhere. Thanks to them diversifying to English, they can now have followers in UK, Canada, India, Australia, Pakistan, et al. So all those “likes” and “laughs” are probably distributed from a whole bunch of countries in the region
Years ago, in 2015, I had a colleague who, though neither Leftist nor pro-islamic (from what I could make out) told me that he watched al Jazeera for unbiased news. I was a tad taken aback, but he said that their news had a lot more substance than US media, which were heavily opinionated, whether it was CNN or Fox. I could get where he was coming from
However, now, thanks to the podcasting world, people probably have hundreds, if not thousands, of alternatives. I just read a Nolte column on Breitbart showing the major job losses in the US media markets – both news and entertainment, and him gloating over it 😈. Hopefully, that trend is worldwide and takes down others, like al Jazeera, BBC & hundreds of others as well. Although in case of those 2, al Jazeera is wholly government owned & funded, while BBC is public funded but fully islamo-Marxist

When I was taking the anti-terror courses, one of my professors suggested that her students read the al jzeera. I tried a few times, but found it too sickeningly evil.

Not surprising, and it is likely many are “palestinians” applauding this tragedy, as they did when their bretheren from Saudi Arabia crashed the twin towers at the WTC on 9/11. It is hard to fathom that people today joyously celebrate the death of innocents. But that is what the civilized world faces.

BTW 1st time Chancelor spoke in public after this, I saw right under his nose – one the microphones was Al-Jazeera. And I was thinking WTF?!? Al-Jazeera is still authorized in EU?!? They should have been kicked out loong time ago. They pretend to be ‘news’ but in reality they’re serving Saudi interests.

Qatari. Saudi Arabia is one of several Arab countries that has banned them. In fact, in 2018, that was one of the issues over which Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Emirates and Bahrein had a fallout w/ Qatar
The first time I heard of this channel was after 9/11: it was Osama’s news agency of choice to get his messages out to the world. I was horrified that they were allowed into the Western media, but in the middle, they even bought Air America, Algore’s TV channel. I did hear in either 2017 or 2018 that they had shut down all their foreign operations, although it seems to be back, given their English news channels
