Yet again, Islamic countries turn a blind eye to the activities of jihad terrorists and say nothing about Turkey’s expansionist activities in Syria, but are unified on keeping Israel out of Syrian territory, to the potential detriment of the Jewish state.
While Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq and even UN peacekeepers condemn Israel for advancing into Syrian territory, Israel learned not to negotiate with or trust jihadists after October 7, not to mention from history (1948 War of Independence, 1967 Six Day War, and 1973 Yom Kippur War).
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a strong statement about Israel’s position in the Turkish-supported Syrian siege.

We have no intention of interfering in Syria’s internal affairs; however, we do intend to do what is necessary for our security.
As such, I approved the Air Force bombing of strategic military capabilities left by the Syrian military so that they will not fall into the hands of the jihadists.
This is similar to what the British Air Force did when it bombed the fleet of the Vichy regime, which was cooperating with the Nazis, so that it would not fall into the Nazis’ hands.
We want to have relations with the new regime in Syria but if this regime allows Iran to re-establish itself in Syria, or allows the transfer of Iranian weapons, or weapons of any kind, to Hezbollah, or attacks us – we will respond forcefully and we will exact a heavy price.
What happened to the previous regime will also happen to this one.

What about Turkey, Mr Prime Minister? They’ve been pretty hostile to Israel. What if the new regime in Damascus gives Erdogan the green light to put Turkish troops & hardware on the Golan border? What then?

He has his hands full; or as a more *modern* saying goes, he has a full plate.
Not only having to deal with the U.S. and its pressure to dictate actions and non, he has still gaza, Lebanon, the houthis, iran syria, and his testimony three times a week in court.
In my opinion, which really means nothing here or to him, he has more than enough to think about without trying to take over syria.

Bibi is right to prepare for possible attacks on Israel from Syria. In some mosques “Jerusalem next” is preached by, and to, the so called rebels, even though the leader is saying there is nothing to fear.

Turkey as the part of NATO was a huge mistake. It’s ambiguous nature makes it even more dangerous to Israel existence. If Turkey was never part of NATO, it could aligned with Russia which offered otherwise bad consequence as well
