A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “If a husband calls his wife to his bed [i.e. to have sexual relation] and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning” (Bukhari 4.54.460).
And: “By him in Whose Hand lies my life, a woman can not carry out the right of her Lord, till she carries out the right of her husband. And if he asks her to surrender herself [to him for sexual intercourse] she should not refuse him even if she is on a camel’s saddle” (Ibn Majah 1853).
“The husband may forbid his wife to leave the home…because of the hadith related by Bayhaqi that the Prophet…said, ‘It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to allow someone into her husband’s house if he is opposed, or to go out of it if he is averse” (Reliance of the Traveller m10.4).

Not being able even to invite her parents into her home is beyond …way beyond…controlling; the control of a psychopath who is so unsure of himself, he can’t take any chances that his wife might find another male who catches her attention. And her parents would see the many bruises left on her person by the ghoulish goon who must demand that she obey his every word.
To say the only way she can have a blessing is to be under the absolute control of her husband is demonic.

Sadly, male children in Islam might not be taught to praise their mother. An American couple who adopted two orphans from an Islamic African country found this out. The two little boys (I believe both were under 10 but at least one was) were so abusive to their new mother the couple had to seek help. Finally they had to “take them back” as it looked like it might not stop at verbal abuse.
Imagine that. I doubt her being the adoptive mother had much bearing; their attitude was based on her being a woman. They did not abuse the new father.
The Proverbs 31 woman also has a worthy husband. He talks her up, and cherishes her. He is proud of his wife, and appreciates her.
Furthermore, the Proverbs 31 woman has a relationship with God. The man is not some kind of overseer or go-between. She honors God.

The five year old who locked his mom out of her house because she was speaking with me on her porch; she cried and pleaded with him to let her in.

And these two examples we mentioned are not “one off” incidents. The adopting couple tried very hard to make it work, over time, with counsellors, love and acceptance. Things only became worse the more they tried! There was zero progress, there was sub-zero progress. For some there seems to be no redemption for such ones–barring a miracle and exorcism!
Reminds me of the movie Lean on Me, when the Morgan Freeman character takes control of the inner city school and starts out by identifying the troublemakers–there’s a LOT of them! He calls an assembly in the auditorium, and gets them all on stage, they’re thinking “I’m on stage, look at me,” and acting like fools but the principal says take a good look at these people, you won’t be seeing them after today. These people are IRREDEEMABLE! And he kicked them out for good.

There are laws about keeping someone prisoner. They are related to kidnapping laws, but specifically regarding keeping someone from leaving a room, a building, etc.

Having read about Sharia law and the way woman and children are treated as property (I am a Christian) this is not news. The Koran (or the Sharia law version of it is not even a holy book. Islamism is an EVIL THEOCRACY.
With regard to the above comments, as a FREE AMERICAN WOMAN,, I could not imagine why any women who escaped from a radicalized Islamic nation and made here to the United States would tolerate any of that. In fact, when muslimas cheat (and they do….oh boy they do!!), they typically seek out Jewish men as they are well known for their patience, ingenuity, and kindness. muslim men need to force sex as they understand it’s the only way they get any.
