“Israel arrests Gaza hospital director who wrote for New York Times, accuses him of being a Hamas terrorist,” by Ronny Reyes, New York Post, December 29, 2024:

Israeli forces arrested the director of the last major hospital operating in northern Gaza and accused him and his staff members of being Hamas terrorists.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya has repeatedly criticized the Israel Defense Forces’ actions, including in opinion pieces he wrote for the New York Times.

He was among the more than 240 people arrested at Kamal Adwan Hospital by the Israeli military on Saturday on the suspicion of being a “Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists,” the IDF said.

“We do not know the fate of Dr. Hussam. He was actually threatened by the army as soon as they arrived at the hospital,” nurse Rawiya Al Batsh told CNN.

The IDF said it conducted a raid on the hospital because it was allegedly being used as a shelter by terrorists looking to escape Israel’s bombardments in northern Gaza against their bases.

The Israeli military described the health facility as “Hamas’s last bastion in Jabalia,” which had last been cleared by the military in late October after Safiya’s predecessor was arrested and admitted to being a Hamas commander.

Prior to the raid, the IDF facilitated the evacuation of 350 patients, caregivers and staffers in the hospital, Israel said. Soldiers then entered the hospital and forced everyone remaining to leave.

While few weapons were found in the hospital, the IDF said a rocket was fired from the building and 19 terrorists were killed in the skirmish.

The Hamas-run ministry of health, however, said about 50 people were killed in the fighting, including medical staff. The health ministry does not differentiate between civilians and terrorists in its tallies….

  2. I read a report on this and it intimated that the whole thing was wrong. I do not recall which outlet posted the report. It made a lot of it being the “last hospital in gaza.”
    No mozlum….not doctors, not journalists, not nurses, not politicians….can be trusted to tell the Truth or to keep his hands clean from terror.

  4. Would trusting a Muslim doctor be a wise move? Does a Muslim DR take his/her sacred oath seriously or does sharia law lead the way in caring for an infidel?

    Do not want to find out.

      As a physician, I was strongly advised to avoid muslim physicians if at all possible.

      I ran into more than a few during my own training.

  5. Muslims should NEVER be trusted because Allah’s Quran teaches and promotes deception and lies. Allah, the best deceiver, is the actual source of Muslim deceit. Qur’an 3:54 says, “And they deceived, and Allah deceived. And Allah is the best deceiver.” Qur’an 8:30 says, “…And Allah is the best deceiver.” Qur’an 13:42 says, “And indeed, those before them deceived, so to Allah all the deception…”

    • It’s a whole different ballgame when you think GOD is telling you to be a terrible person.
