Another glass ceiling has been broken.
Councilwoman Tania Fernandes Anderson, who broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first former African illegal alien and Muslim woman to serve on the Boston City Council, now became the first African Muslim illegal alien councilwoman to be arrested for kickbacks.
What an inspiration!
A Boston city councilor was arrested by FBI agents Friday morning after she was indicted in an alleged kickback scheme that netted her thousands of dollars in cash from a staffer in exchange for a large bonus.
According to court documents, Fernandes Anderson faces five federal counts of wire fraud and one federal count of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds.
“These six felony charges stem from an alleged kickback scheme that she orchestrated to obtain several thousand dollars in taxpayer money in exchange for a bribe she paid to a staffer who she gave a very large bonus,” U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy said.
According to a federal indictment, Fernandes Anderson gave extra bonus money to “Staff Member A” with the agreement that the staffer would give a portion of the money back to the councilor. That staff member is a relative of Fernandes Anderson, something the councilor lied about, investigators said.

Fernandes Anderson was going to use the money from the scheme to pay a fine issued following an ethics investigation, Levy said.
Much as I want to take shots at Anderson, a BLM supporter who called the Hamas atrocities of Oct 7, a “military operation”, this if anything shows that Muslim illegal aliens are adapting to the political culture of Boston. If a Boston councilmember weren’t running a kickback scheme involving family members, that would be a true failure to integrate.
The only thing surprising about this story is that there was an ethics investigation. In Boston.
What this story shows is the inspirational power of Muslim illegal aliens who support terrorists mounting the heights of our political culture. Maybe one day there’ll be a book about her.

How does an *”illegal”* qualify to run for public office?
How does this illegal (meaning **criminal**) have a “family member on her staff”?
Are the people of Boston so stupid, or are they all evil and only elect others who are evil….criminally inclined…so that they elect a **criminal** to public office?
How many years will she get? After all, she came illegally, got elected while being a criminal.

Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson was told to retake the oath of office after a video showing her not saying the words or raising her right hand during Monday’s inaugural ceremony went viral on social media, the Herald has learned.
The Herald arrived at City Hall at 9 a.m. Thursday, where City Clerk Alex Geourntas was on hand to swear Fernandes Anderson in for a second time. The District 7 councilor told the clerk at roughly 3:15 p.m., however, that she was not coming into the office, and would let him know if she would be there on Friday.
The clerk had been told by Fernandes Anderson’s staff at approximately 11 a.m., and then again shortly before 1 p.m. that she was on her way to the building.
Fernandes Anderson was instructed by both City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune and the city’s law department to retake the oath, both verbally and in writing, a City Hall source told the Herald.
Geourntas said Fernandes Anderson signed the city’s “oath book,” along with the 12 other city councilors sworn in by Mayor Michelle Wu on Monday, and could not attest to whether she spoke the words during the inaugural ceremony.
Fernandes Anderson appeared not to be saying the oath verbally in a video posted by Boston Accountability Network, that went viral after it was shared by Libs of TikTok on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday night.
Per the city charter, city councilors are required, “before entering upon the duties of his office,” to “take, and subscribe in a book to be kept by the city clerk for the purpose, the oath of allegiance and oath of office prescribed in the constitution of this commonwealth and an oath to support the constitution of the United States.”
The situation has prompted questions about whether Fernandes Anderson’s decision not to recite the oath has created a vacancy for a District 7 councilor, invalidating the votes she took during Monday’s Council meeting, or if the entire meeting must be redone, the City Hall source said.
Along with selecting Louijeune as the new council president, the body took many other votes, including appointing employees for the four new city councilors, a new school committee member and former City Councilor Kenzie Bok to the Commemoration Commission.
She released a statement and appeared on a radio show Thursday night, however, to say that while she considered the oath she took Monday to be sufficient — where she was “internalizing my oath” and “committing a prayer between myself and God” — she did make it to City Hall eventually on Thursday to retake the oath.
