In any case, the threat to this menorah display would not have come from “right extremists,” but from anti-Israel, pro-jihad leftists. Launceston Airport in Tasmania has reversed it’s [sic] decision not to host a menorah during Chanukah this year.
In a letter seen by the Australian Jewish News, an airport official had earlier apologised for reneging on the agreement with Chabad of Tasmania, citing security concerns.
“Our security review of risk over our busiest period highlighted … that due to the current political climate of the unrest regarding right [sic] extremist activity poses a threat to our staff and visitors.
In a statement later on Thursday, an airport spokesman said, “Following discussions with federal and state agencies, the local Jewish community and other Australian airports we are now comfortable we can safely display the Menorah in the terminal during Chanukah, as we have for the past two years. We apologise for the confusion and wish all of our travellers a happy holiday.”
The AJN understands the menorah will now be erected in a secure area, but will be visible from the public part of the airport….
Previous correspondence with Chabad of Tasmania indicated that Launceston Airport tried to not host the menorah on the grounds it was taking “an inclusive approach” this year by not referencing any religious affiliation….

I say put the Menorah’s up in public areas. Make sure there are loads of camera’s from all angles to record any of those who would destroy the religious symbols. Then when they are destroyed, make sure to arrest all those who do the destruction with lot’s of information as to their beliefs and who they represent.

Someone must have reminded the Australian Government that by banning Judaism you will be seen by a majority of the civilized world as being Nazis. And they reluctantly ended the ban. But keep an eye on this bunch because they will do something to make up for not banning the public display of menorahs. Maybe passing a day of celebration for Palestinians or a holiday for honoring the state of Palestine.

As someone who lives far away from Tasmania in one of Australia’s largest city, Sydney, Tasmania truly is like another country. Maybe it is actually plagued by far right groups. I would say that is more likely the woke brigade, the sellout merchants on the .left wanting to do away with all religious symbols. I’m pretty sure the left wing mayor of Sydney wanted to have Christian symbols so as to be more inclusive. It is all so much bullshit. Here in Australia, every year the left try to do away with Australia day and call it invasion day. On the Launceston airport, I thought, wait a minute that’s a pretty small city. It has 76000 people. It says 79 percent born in Australia. That would in no way resemble most of Australia. I doubt whether many Muslims would be there. They have mostly invaded Sydney and Melbourne. Infidel, the two biggest cities, Sydney and Melbourne, would have the vast majority of Jewish people in Australia. In sydney, most Jews live in the affluent eastern suburbs which is why there have those arson attacks on cars and graffiti saing f the Jews have been in the eastern suburbs. On our government, we have a federal election by next may, maybe earlier. The Labor government are pretty unpopular, but most commentators expect Labor to retain power in some type of minority government supported by the loony greens and others. I do hope the liberals, our conservatives, will win. I think that Peter Dutton, leader of liberals, would make a good and courageous prime minister. We do have plenty of idiotic voters just as in all other countries
