Earlier in October, I reviewed Jesse Petrilla’s book ‘If It Takes a Thousand Years: From Al-Qaeda to Hamas, How the Jihadists Think & How to Defeat Them’. Jesse Petrilla had been an Army Liaison Officer on the ground in Afghanistan and had taken part in the interrogation of Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists. He had also witnessed the defeatist politics that foreshadowed the loss of Afghanistan.
This week, Jesse joined me to discuss his experiences in Afghanistan and its lessons for dealing with Islamic terrorism now.
This is where our interview began.
“I recall one instance where we were ordered to turn over a shipping container of captured Taliban weapons to the Afghan government, and I told the Major in charge of the mission “You know these are going right back to the Taliban as soon as we leave, right?” Without hesitation he responded, “Oh yes, I know.”

The main lessons to take from both Afghanistan and Iraq is to simply bomb those places until the offending regime is overthrown, and then leave. No occupation, no reconstruction, no writing of any new constitution, none of that. Just bomb the places & leave
If we had done that, the Afghanistan war would have been over in December 2021, the Northern Alliance plus Hamid Karzai would have come to power, but would have been in a constant civil war w/ the Taliban. Which would have been fine, but it would no longer have been an easy residence for al Qaeda
In Iraq, in retrospect, there wasn’t a good reason to get rid of Saddam. Even if he did have WMDs, he’d have used it against Iran, like he did in the 80s. But even if the decision was made to take him out, once his regime had been toppled, there was no reason to occupy the place. That war too could have been over in months, and the Saudis and the Iranians could have duked it out on who controlled that country

Largely agree, Infidel. Our problem in these places was always in believing that most Muslims want to live in freedom–and are willing to fight to keep it. Few are.

I once rudimentally compared this war in Afghanistan, to the Boer War. They are very similar in many basic respects, with the one major difference being that the British wanted to win the Boer War, which they did by being utterly ruthless ultimately. My conclusion was that the USA and allies did not want to win or end the war in Afghanistan, for whatever reasons, although they certainly could have.

After watching the full interview, I’ll endorse something that Petrilla said at the end: We need to think long term, beyond election cycles. It may not be 1000 years, like the title of his book, but it can at least be generation long plans

It’s been discovered that Kamala Harris along Joe Biden are responsible for that catastrophe which they created in which enabled the Taliban savages totally take over Afghanistan.

To make matters even worse Biden and Harris admitted many unchecked and unvetted “refugees” into and throughout the United States , a number of them , not doubt are criminal and secret jihadists scheming and waiting for the time they consider to engage in murderous violence.
The innocent people who will be murdered by them will guilty and likewise Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will then have their blood on both of their sinister wicked and destructive hands.
All that evil in Afghanistan would never have happened if that President Pretender, Joe Biden and VP Harris just threw away and totally destroyed nearly twenty years of progress accomplished by the blood sweat and tears and even the deaths of many Americans as well as the blood, sweat and tears of America’s allies.
Likewise, they both threw away more than trillion of the American taxpayer’s money that had been invested in for the betterment and development of Afghanistan.
This tragic scenario didn’t actually have to had happen in Afghanistan because the generals of the Pentagon who are strategic military advisers to the President strongly counseled Biden, and no doubt his VP, not to have a sharp, sudden withdrawal from Afghanistan but instead have and start a gradual drawback of the US armed forces after September 11, 2021.
The problem was that the arrogant conceited and stupid Joe Biden/Harris team refused to heed or listen to the wise council of the intellects of the Pentagon. Therefore is this complete catastrophe with the Taliban total takeover of Afghanistan.
In the ancient but wisdom filled book by Sun Tzu entitled THE ART OF WAR, it is written “He will win who has the military capability and is not interfered with the sovereign.”
That awful incompetent and probably even treasonous villains, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ruined everything.

Al Qaeda is regrouping and power and numbers in Afghanistan is because of Joe Biden, he is responsible for that catastrophe which he created in which the Taliban savages took over Afghanistan all because of Joe Biden.

Therefore , Joe Biden is very, obviously is ether completely incompetent and despicably treasonous. In the first or second case Biden should not have been allowed be enter the Office of the Presidency in the first place.
As that catastrophe, he created in Afghanistan and letting the Talban obtain may high quality US military equipment.
As the former US President Theodore Roosevelt that the Office of the Presidency in not only a powerful position but “a very strong man” is needed for the Oval Office. Joe Biden is not a strong man but as already stated is weak and feeble.
Roosevelt also, rightly, believed “a man holding that very important Office “should be sharply watch by the people [and] held to a strict accountability by them.”
