Israel has but a small window of opportunity left to end the most critical jihad threats against it. Should Harris win the U.S. presidential election next week, she will stymie Israel’s efforts even more than Biden. Should Trump win, he has already expressed his expectation that Israel will wrap up the Gaza war and thereby secure his support for Israel into the future against its jihadist enemies.
Under a Trump administration, Israel will at least have support, and thus freer rein to act against Hamas and Hizballah. The Biden administration buys Israel’s enemies time via its ongoing interference and betrayals. See also HERE and HERE.
“Trump told Netanyahu he wants Gaza war over by time he enters office — sources,” by Jacob Magid, Times of Israel, October 30, 2024:
Former US president Donald Trump has told Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he wants Israel to wrap up the war in Gaza by the time he returns to office if he wins the election, two sources familiar with the matter revealed to The Times of Israel this week.
The message was first conveyed when the Republican presidential nominee hosted the Israeli premier at his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort in July, according to a former Trump administration official and an Israeli official.
While Trump has publicly confirmed having told Netanyahu that he wants Israel to win the war quickly, the sources speaking to The Times of Israel are the first to reveal that a timeline was attached to that request.
The former US official stressed that Trump wasn’t specific in his appeal to Netanyahu and could well back “residual” IDF activity in Gaza, so long as Jerusalem has officially ended the war.…

The discussion that Trump has to have w/ Netanyahu is about Iran. Not Gaza nor Lebanon

Everything I have read–over a dozen sources–cites that this was about Gaza, not Iran.
And not sure that Israel can necessarily wrap up her defense against Iran by January, either. I also assume this means all of Israel’s defense–aainst Hamas, Hezb’allah, and Iran.

Mr. Netanyahu is under enough pressure just conducting the government’s business and defeating the terrorists. To put a *date* on when the war will end….who can rightly do that?
Life is tough. Cars need repair and the mech can estimate the time….but things go wrong.
Operations have an “approximate” time frame, but things go wrong.
Husband to wife: “I’ll be home in fifteen minutes.” But he doesn’t know there was a pileup on the road he takes and that fifteen will stretch.
War…who can ever tell how long a war will last?

Agreed, Somehistory. This also tells Hamas–and Hezb’allah, and the Mullahs in Iran–that all they have to do is hang on until January, and then they’ll get a free pass to murder Israelis.

I sometimes feel, g, that we hear/read too much of some things that should be kept quiet, and don’t hear enough about some things we need to know.

I am certainly hoping Trump wins, for the sake of both the U.S., and of Israel.
However, Israel really needs to diversify its sources of munitions. Even if Trump wins, it is only a matter of time before another treacherous, back-stabbing Democrat regime comes to power.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Absolutely true. Israel’s only tragedy is that the other superpowers that exist – China and Russia – are squarely on the side of its enemies. But they can source from countries like India, as well as other players in the arms market

OK, we will try as hard as possible. So, Please have the US Government send us 300, 2,000lg. bombs immediately. Thank you,.

Yes, rick.
And maybe a few GBU-43/B MOABs – just in case – launched from their C-130s.

This reported today from Fox News, but not prominently broadcast:
“Defense Secretary Austin is sending B-52 Stratofortress bomber aircraft, tanker aircraft and Navy destroyers.” to the Middle East. This in addition to what was already sent.
What’s up?

Never overlook that even trump could pressure Israel and then there would be little support from American people on Israels behalf so it’s best to finish off hamas and Hezbollah like trump says. Just hope it’s a strong suggestion and not some kind of demand. Israels problem is cannot have cease fires with someone whose whole goal is too kill you as that only buys time till the rerun.

Most Americans support Israel’s defending herself–including this American.

The implications of insisting on a one-sided cease-fire is that it simply doesn’t work. It would be deserting the hostages to their fate. Such demands only embolden Hamas and improve their bargaining position. Everyone knows this so I believe it’s just election talk and I suspect (and hope) that, if he wins, Trump will suggest Israel take the gloves off. That would greatly improve the bargaining position. Fewer terrorists will have to be released in any trade.
Israel cannot afford Oct 7th attacks bring it to its knees or they will never end.

I would imagine that is Trump would give Israel the time it needs. Given that Israel has all but destroyed Hezbollah. On the Israeli news services the IDF showed off the amount of weapons they have recovered from the tunnels over a 1000 kalashnikovs, many 100’s of RPG’s and the rocket to feed them. They found so much of everything including missiles they are loading these tunnel with many 100’s pounds of explosives and collapsing them with the weapons inside. Of course they have destroyed Hezbollah’s banks and money and buried the gold stashed in bunkers. In Beirut Hezbollah members are being killed in revenge murders. In Southern Lebanon the local Lebanese are killing jihadists that come into their villages to launch missiles. They know if they are launched they will be hit with Israeli air strikes.

I don’t believe he said it this way, he wants Israel to WIN quickly by ignoring leftist whining.

So much can be misconstrued when reading what someone said about something someone else had to say to another party.
Just as was done with what Mr. Trump said about liz cheney. so many in the media claimed he was threatening her life, but that was far from the facts.
Unless Mr. Trump or Mr. Netanyahu come out and say what was said and how it was said…others can only guess.

Yes.
The mainstream media purposely distorted the facts – by taking things out of context.
Election interference!

I was watching a YouTube interview of David Friedman by Caroline Glick today, and this issue came up. Friedman dismissed the reports as being 4 degrees separated from the source, whether from Axios or Times of Israel. He told her that Trump was open to listening to the Israelis on any scenario that they laid out for improving the situation

I don’t believe that Trump said this, the Times of Israel has become anti Trump. This fake news is intended to drive Jews from voting for Trump. The TOI prints every anti Trump rumor. Last minute desperation electioneering.

Times of Israel is actually a lefty anti God news site . But, they allow conservative and religious stuff too, so people get confused about their overall agenda. What is good about them is they do have much varied comprehensive news.
