Trump Disinvites Haley and Pompeo From His Administration, and That’s Good

On Saturday evening, Donald Trump gave a strong signal of what his second term would be like, writing on Truth Social: “I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” This was an unusual move that many ascribed to Trump’s personal pique against both, but there was more to it than that.

The New York Post reported Saturday that “since winning Tuesday’s election in a landslide victory against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump and his team have been working behind closed doors at Mar-a-Lago to staff the 47th president’s administration, with loyalty the primary job requirement.” Neither Haley nor Pompeo have been even close to loyal to Trump, and so that may be all there is to the kiss-off they got from the once and future president on Saturday, but the gulf between the incoming commander-in-chief and these two establishment Republicans is wider than a matter of personal loyalty.

As recently as Oct. 29, Haley, despite professing her support for Trump, criticized his campaign for being “overly masculine.” According to the Daily Beast, “Haley not only said that the bashing of Puerto Rico that occurred at Trump’s rally over the weekend was problematic, but that the campaign also ‘needs to look at how they are talking about women.’”

The “bashing of Puerto Rico” was a major Harris campaign talking point in the waning days of the campaign, as leftists once again proved that they were humorless prigs who couldn’t take even the mildest jest. Why was Haley repeating, endorsing, and amplifying a claim that the Harris campaign was using as a weapon against the candidate she supposedly supported?

Haley added: “This bromance and this masculinity stuff—it borders on edgy to the point that it’s going to make women uncomfortable. You’ve got affiliated PACs that are doing commercials about calling Kamala [Harris] the c-word, or you had speakers at Madison Square Garden referring to her and her ‘pimps.’ That is not the way to win women. That is not the way to win people who are concerned about Trump’s style.” What? Where were commercials running calling Harris “the c-word”? If such a thing existed, what network would even have run it? In any case, Trump has made clear his rejection of trans madness and the left’s related insanities. Why should he bring on board someone who shares the left’s hatred of masculinity?

    After having grown up in the 60’s I find this funny as the Dims were the anti-establishment party and now its the Republicans after getting a good taste of Democrats Liberalism.

  3. I like Nikki Haley very much , there should be more views possible within the Republican party . She has value . ( and I’m a real man , don’t worry ! ) .

    • The one thing she was good at was being pro-Israel at the UN. But outside that, she’s from the same school of US military globalist interventionism like John Bolton, Lindsay Graham, Liz Cheney, Bill Krystal, among many others

      There is no way that both Nikki Haley and Tulsi Gabbard belong on the same team. There is no way John Bolton and RFK do either. When Trump decided to expand his appeal to include RFK and his movement, it necessarily meant parting ways w/ any residual Big Pharma backers, assuming any existed, like they did during the Bush era. Similarly, when he embraced Tulsi, it automatically meant parting ways w/ Nikki

      I would have liked to read about what his differences w/ Mike Pompeo were. From what I can gather, Pompeo is one of the institutionalism who would prevent a complete declassification of a lot of things that Trump has promised, like opening the files on the JFK, RFK Sr & MLK assassinations, and other such things. In which case, it would be good. It’s high time that a lot of the TLA agencies in government were purged, including exposing their misdeeds from even the last century

      • I clicked onto the link, since I also wanted to learn why Pompeo was out of favor. It’s in PJ Media and it’s not VIP. Here is the gist of it:

        As for Pompeo, the Post noted that “Republicans have also blasted him for supporting special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation of Trump over the possession of alleged classified documents.” Roger Stone wrote: “If Pompeo is placed into the next Trump administration, his history shows he would promote the hegemony of the deep state rather than an authentic America First agenda.”

        • Thanks for clarifying that: I was unaware about his support to the Jack Smith investigation. I do know that one of the things Trump has pledged is to unseal past secrets like the JFK assassination, which would affect nobody still alive today, but is kept seal for institutional protection. Except that there is nothing worth protecting about these institutions when they step way beyond their mandate and violate the law, as opposed to coloring within their pictures

          I also think the FISA court needs to be ended, and that we need to take a Second look at the DHS. After all, 23 years later, we have done nothing about the underlying cause of what happened on 9/11/2001 – islam, but we’ve happily violated the rights of American citizens – and no, Virginia, I’m not talking about Anwar al-Awlaki. If we’re not gonna look at islam, there is no justification for such an elaborate agency. Even the DHS is not justified under this scenario

          We were told that we had 17 intel agencies that warned us about Russian interference. One of the things we need to assess – maybe Elon can do it – is whether and why we need any more than three intelligence agencies (one for domestic counter-intel, one for foreign espionage and a third for any actual domestic law-breaking activity (real one, such as a narcotics operation or a human trafficking operation, not something like a January 6th or a pro-Life protest)

        • Glenn Beck has video of some things Mr. Trump is planning right away to do with the agencies and the employees who work on the side of ‘the swamp.’

        Remember when DJT allowed Fauci to be the point man for Covid-19? Fauci is big pharma, to the extent of killing 10 to 20 million African children with his Laetrile-only solution to HIV, because that is what made big pharma (hence Fauci) the most money. In addition, big pharma (and partly Fauci) probably caused the problem with their polio vaccine which was accelerated through primates and probably acquired HIV.

        Fauci and big pharma invented Covid-19 (according to the patents granted), and then made it so that only their vaccine could treat it, when far more effective treatments existed.

        So yeah, big pharma was the most negative thing about DJT’s first term, but he has RFK Jr, now, who knows how to hurt big pharma more than anyone, because he has spent the last 30 years suing them.

I think that everybody who abandoned Trump during the contested period in 2020 (before the much-wailed January 6th) should be absolutely banned from his circle, even if they’ve since “made up” w/ Trump. They demonstrated then that they were untrustworthy of supporting us from having an election stolen, and therefore should be kept out completely

    Some names I have in mind – Elaine Chao, Betsy DeVos, Mick Mulvaney, Mike Esper, Bill Barr…..

  5. Mr. Trump told Glenn Beck that the first time, he didn’t know how to be the president; but has since learned a lot.

    One thing that always is so stupid from women …such as haley….is the claim that women don’t like masculine men.
    Some authors have become rich and famous writing romance novels. Silly? Yes. But they are popular because the men in the stories who win the hearts of the protagonist are “masculine” and often rush to the rescue of the women with whom they love. Sometimes the protagonist gets jealous because the man will also offer help to other women in distress.
    And most of the readership of these….women.

    The woman protagonist is almost always ‘strong, strong-willed, capable, knowledgeable, etc.’ And it may take her some time…a few chapters….to realize she likes the guy who is suddenly in her life. Soon, he is very important to her. She finds out that he’s not putting her down because he treats her like a lady.

    Mr. Trump has said, “I like women.” His wife certainly seems to like him.

    For some reason, haley has chosen to take up the view that the *Strong, White man” is a bad thing.

    And since pompeo wanted him prosecuted, it’s a good thing not to include the guy.

    Mr. Trump is choosing for the country, for all of its citizens. He needs to choose wisely.

  7. Pompeo stated that Jack Smith should dropped and prosecuted. He did not go against Trump at all. That is false info and Pompeo was the best Sec of State we ever had.We need him. Rubio is a nice guy but Pompeo was genius and had the strength.

  8. Nikki Haley was a great friend of Israel and would have made a great president of the United States. Her constructive criticisms of flaws in Trump’s campaign should be welcomed not criticized.

  9. Whatever gave them the idea that President Trump would actually uses these 2 people in his administration. There are reason’s Trump made that choice and some of those reason are evident and some are not.

    His 2nd term will be run his way and no other.

  10. I’m kind of surprised about not bringing back Pompeo. He seemed quite loyal as demonstrated by how he dealt with Iran and North Korea partly. The only issues that a couple of people like infidel pointed out is his opposition to declassifying documents related to the JFK, RFK Sr and MLK assassinations. Also, something people didn’t mention is his opposition to a pardon for Edward Snowden, claiming the documents he revealed somehow hurt American security. There’s no evidence of that. Just the usual “sources and methods “ nonsense. Chris Farrell of Judicial Watch has done some great pieces breaking this myth. So overall I still don’t see why Trump rejected him this time.

  11. Look at Nikki Haley point by point. Other than Israel, and thank Halley for that one exception, she is very much like Kamala and she is nothing like Trump. She ventures into betrayal too easily. She needs to move in with Liz Chaney, and the two of them will get along very well the rest of their pathetic lives.
