Though Largely Forgotten, the Jihad is Advancing

 

Dear friends and lovers of freedom,

It was on X (Twitter) a few months ago that someone quoted something I had written, and someone else responded: “Robert Spencer? He’s so 2005.”

I understood immediately what he meant. Fighting jihad? That’s what the U.S. did in the first few years after 9/11. Now it’s twenty years later, and the nation and the world have other concerns. Right?

The “war on terror” has long been consigned to the dustbin of history, and the 2024 election was decided on issues of immigration and border control, as well as constituting a referendum on the left’s cultural agenda. But Jihad? Very 2005.

Yes, jihad. The jihad keeps advancing. Hamas’ October 7, 2023 massacre of 1,200 Israelis, which touched off the present war, is a classic jihad.

Another classic jihad as was the attack on Jews in Amsterdam, which began several days ago and is still going on.

In fact, Iran’s relentless animus against Israel can only be fully and properly understood in the context of Islam’s theology of jihad. Here again, where is that set out plainly? At Jihad Watch. It matters that these conflicts (and many others around the world today) are Islamic jihads. It matters in terms of the motives and goals of those who are waging them, jihad and how they can be stopped.

The global jihad continues to advance, yet most of the world is not paying attention. It sees it happening, but thinks it’s a sign of something else. It’s like getting a headache from a brain tumor and thinking that taking a couple of aspirin will cure the problem.

Never before in history has there been so much ignorance, much of it willful, about an existential threat that confronts both this nation and the entire free world.

Never before in history has it been more necessary to mobilize the forces of good, those who understand the battle America faces.

Patriots are under relentless attack, and are inundated with misinformation and disinformation.

At Jihad Watch, we’re diagnosing the problem correctly, and offering genuine and realistic solutions. We even show you how the global political and media elites are lying.
