In a summit in Riyadh, Arab and Muslim leaders, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, calling them “collective genocide.”
Then, in an open G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Saudi Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan accused Israel of pushing the region into war because of its “aggression” in Gaza and Lebanon. Never do the Saudis blame Hamas, Hizballah and Iran for destabilizing the region, although the blame actually lies squarely with them.
Saudi Arabia was also again clear that it will not recognize Israel without Palestinian statehood, and “with East Jerusalem as its capital.” The pre-1967 borders for Israel have also been non -negotiable with the Saudis. Clearly, Israel cannot give up East Jerusalem; nor can it afford to return to its pre-1967 “Auschwitz borders.”
So while many continue to hope that Saudi Arabia will normalize relations with Israel, the demands that it is making are impossible.

I don’t think Saudi Arabia will normalize relations while King Salman is still alive. It’s more likely to happen once MbS assumes the throne. This is the one issue where the King’s word is final, and where MbS doesn’t get to veto him

No one has to abide by his demands.
The U.S. vetoed a resolution against Israel because it didn’t include anything about the hostages.
How many more before January will they veto?

I have no trust when it comes to Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Why we do business with them and supply them with weapons is a HUGE mistake. No morals when it comes to corporate profits.

I’ve been saying it for years; nobody can ever trust an arab/moslem nation, because a moslem is a moslem is a moslem and not one of them can be trusted. EVER.
