Pope Francis’ Genocide Cowardice

He can accuse Israel of genocide, but not the Muslim killers of Christians.

Pope Francis recently implied that Israel was committing “genocide” in its campaign against Hamas. While the pope was eager to apply the term to Muslims terrorists dying in the war, he has been reluctant to apply it to Christians being massacred by Muslims in the Middle East.

Over 50,000 Christians were massacred by Muslims in Nigeria. Dozens of churches were attacked, some on Christmas, without the pope ever condemning this as genocide.

In 2016, after millions of Christians had fled Islamic violence in Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan and much of the Muslim world, Pope Francis rejected calling it a genocide.

“I want to say clearly that I do not like it when people speak of a ‘genocide of Christians,’ for example in the Middle East,” Pope Francis argued, and claimed that he preferred the term “martyrdom.”

The pope’s comments were a retreat from his reaction a year earlier to the abduction and killing of priests in Syria when he declared it, “a form of genocide — I insist on the word — is taking place, and it must end.”

Over the course of a year, Pope Francis had decided to run away from calling the murder of Christians a “genocide”.

A week later he visited Armenia, on the front lines of a war with a Muslim country and used the term “genocide” as a purely historic reference, while failing to use it to describe the contemporary treatment of Christians in the Middle East where he admitted that “religious and ethnic minorities had become the target of persecution and cruel treatment, to the point that suffering for one’s religious belief has become a daily reality.” He also refused to name the Muslim perpetrators, only complaining about “a presentation of religion and religious values in a fundamentalist way, which is used to justify the spread of hatred, discrimination and violence.”

The pope’s refusal to address the subject of Islamic terrorism was an ongoing problem.

In 2014, Pope Francis met with a delegation from the World Jewish Congress to condemn the murder of Christians in the Middle East.

WJC President Ronald Lauder, a Republican donor, asked after the meeting, “Why doesn’t the world react? There has been a tremendous focus on Israel when it defended itself, as any country would, when thousands of rockets were fired on it by terrorists, but not a word for the thousands of Christians in Iraq, Syria and the Middle East.”

The strange thing was why the question was coming from a Jewish leader and not the pope.

Lauder claimed that the pope “privately” told him that “first it was your turn and now it is our turn. In other words, first Jews suffered savage attacks that were met with the world’s silence and now it is Christians who are being annihilated and the world is silent.”

Pope Francis was clearly referencing the threat often heard by Middle Eastern Christians, ““First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people”, yet he wasn’t willing to say it out loud.

Worse still, when Pope Francis met with a WJC delegation in 2016, his focus was on the sacred importance of bringing more Muslims into Europe. Earlier that year, Muslim terrorists had bombed Brussels Airport and a train station, killing 32 people and wounding hundreds more.

Pope Francis, instead of condemning the horrifying mass migration that had brought Muslims terrorists into the heart of Europe to murder Christians, claimed that, “Europe often forgets that it has been enriched by migrants” because it has a falling birth rate and is “lacking creativity” that the Muslim migrants were bringing to it.

“We need to reflect on integration, which is important. The people who committed the terrorist attacks in Belgium were not properly integrated,” he argued.

Bringing Muslim migrants to Europe became one of the pope’s great obsessions.

In 2024, Pope Francis claimed that rejecting open borders and mass migration was a “grave sin”. He had previously washed the feet of Muslim migrants and claimed that, “the presence of God today is also called Rohingya” in reference to an invasive Muslim group of migrants who had been expelled from Burma after engaging in systematic violence against Buddhists.

Some Jews have reacted to the pope’s genocide accusation by accusing him of antisemitism, but there’s no reason to think that he is bigoted against Jews in any particular way. Rather, Pope Francis has a politically correct tendency of accusing Christians and Jews, and other groups of genocide, especially when resisting Islam, while refusing to speak out against Islamic terrorism.

Much as the pope has been willing to accuse Israel of genocide, he has also been all too willing to accuse Christians of genocide. In Rwanda, Pope Francis blamed the Catholic Church for the genocide in that country and asked for forgiveness.

After a visit to Canada, Pope Francis described the alleged deaths of Indian children in church schools as genocide. “I asked forgiveness for this activity, which was genocide.” Over 80 Catholic churches have been burned in Canada over the deaths which may not have occurred.

The pope can accuse Christians and Jews of genocide, he just can’t seem to use the term to describe the actual Muslim genocide of Christians that is taking place around the world.

In Nigeria, the massacre of 50,000 Christians has not been condemned by him as a genocide.

Pope Francis is willing to describe the deaths of Muslims terrorists and their human shields as genocide, but not the mass murder of Christians praying in churches on Christmas.

Not content to sell out Christian communities around the world, he demands that Europe accept a stream of endless Muslim migrant invaders until Paris, London and Brussels are as unsafe for Christians as Nigeria.

Pope Francis has slurred Israel, but he is the one enabling a worldwide Christian genocide.

  1. I left the Catholic church decades ago for true Biblical Christianity. Read Foxx’s Book of Martyrs (free online) and you’ll find that Francis is in a long line of despicable despot Popes and presents a false representation of Christianity. Jesus Christ is the only pope on Earth.

    Jesus Christ ….the Man Whom the false shepherd pretends to follow….said, “You are from your father the devil and you wish to do the desires of your father.” He was speaking to His enemies….men who pretended to serve God and pretended to lead the people in worship of His Heavenly Father….much the same as He would likely address this ‘pope’ who presumes to lead the millions of Catholics in service to Jesus’ Father.

    “Blind guides is what they are.” Jesus said anyone following a ‘blind guide’ will fall into the pit….just as the blind guide will fall.

    The “blind guide,” the pretender is a friend of mozlums, and like those rabid murderers, is doing his ‘father’s desire.’

    Jesus pointed out the falsehoods and evils of those who lived in His days on earth. Any who follow Him, should do the same.

    The ‘pope’ does not obey Jesus’ commandments. the ‘pope’ is a liar.

  3. Pope Francis sounds like a closet Muslim. Why do you ask? Read his definition of Martyrdom:

    When Muslims are killed in a war against them they are considered martyrs. In Christianity, martyrdom is a conscious willingness to sacrifice oneself, to die, to make a protest with their lives against inhumanity to people or to Christians. The dead in Nigeria did not sacrifice themselves. They were murdered against their will. They were out and out victims of a murder and not quite martyrs. The Pope’s definition of martyr is not
    a Christian one.

    • Absolutely correct. There are numerous examples of Christian martyrs in the Bible.
      what is happening in nigeria, sudan, uganda, and other places where mozlums are carrying on the devil’s work, is different.

      Both groups of victims, will be rewarded for remaining faithful.

      • What is happening is those countries is ethnic cleansing of Christians it happen in North Africa over 500 yrs ago. The Moslems try to do that in Southern Europe and parts of Eastern Europe and where push out 500 years ago .Now the elites are importing the problem children of the world Moslems back into Europe and turning a blind eye with this Popes OK that these Christians being kill off on large scale in Central Africa. These ” martyrs” that is willing to except as he seats in his palace walled city protected by arm guards he will not even give lip service to condemn this murdering of his flock ,he is a bad shepherd who will pay for this in the after life is my opinion.

    • What an evil mere man this pope is. He designates genocided Christians as of no temporal interest to Christians or the world and jihadi muslims as sympathetic victims. There will be no familial relations for those Christians’ relatives and he offers no hope to Christians facing slaughter. I, like you designate him muslim based on his words and deeds, just as I do BHO. I just read an article about BHO’s directing NASA to make muslims feel better about their lack of scientific advancement. End result; a lack of focus on real issues and astronauts stuck in space.

  4. Use of the word martyrdom shows which master this Pope serves and prefers, so in the name of GOD, go, you have sat here too long.

    • Go, indeed. Since it’s such an honor, he should offer to martyr himself in exchange for a Nigerian Christian mother or father.

      • Jesus, the One Whom this ‘pope’; says he follows, declared that the ”greatest love” one could show, would be to give his life in behalf of another.

        This act would prove what the pope claims….but, we all know he wouldn’t do it.
        His words, his proclamations, mean less than nothing because they mislead ‘the sheep.’
        And he’s not about to give up his cushy life.

  6. That claim of genocide by the enemies of the Jewish State of Israel is a false completely claim.

    One reliable newspaper had put it this way “One accusation is that Israel has engaged in genocide against the Palestinians. However, the facts show a vast increase in the Palestinian population, from 156,000 to 2,100,000 in Israel…” [1]

  7. As for that bogus claim of Israeli genocide in Gaza, the reality that the actual , real, intention of Hamas is the genocide of the Jewish people that’s the goal of Hamas and not of those in power in the State of Israel regarding the “Palestine” people.

    About innocent those children who died in Gaza because the jihadists Hamas hiding among places with children. Also this current war that Hamas started this with Israel on October 7th when it launched its brutal vicious and murderous and even vile and heinous jihadist attacks on the peaceful Jewish citizens of the State of Israel.

    Those innocent children who died in Gaza because of Israel’s air force was not the intention of the government and military officials of Israel.

    Those youngster who had been killed had died because those despicable jihadists of Hamas, because they are so very callous and cruel that they deliberately stationed their jihad strategy command and weapon centers at buildings that have children in and around those places.

    Therefore the bloodguilt for the death of those children of Gaza on the wicked hands of the Hamas jihadists.

I retain a respect for the Roman Catholic Church as a magnificent historical institution, which has produced first-rate thinkers like Anselm and Aquinas, arguably the greatest artistic tradition of any religion in man’s history, and numerous other solid benefits to the human race such as the founding of hospitals and schools aplenty here in America but, nevertheless, this present Pope is an utter disgrace.

    He is the worst Pope ever (and most Popes I would contend were good men, some of them sterling men). Unlike the minority of previous Popes who were “only” a negative in personal ways, Francis has demonstrated his antipathy to what is right and proper by contravening Catholic doctrine (e.g., the blessing of gay couples) and actually putting forth excuses for pure evil (e.g., Hamas) all the while regularly excoriating one of the most decent nations on Earth, i.e., Israel.

    For all those who remain Catholic, how do you explain the utter rot which is Francis? Yeah, I know the “God works in mysterious ways” position but applied to this Pope I consider this an excuse masquerading as an argument. Oh yeah, all Catholics out there, explain this one if you can.

    • I am a cradle Catholic and the information we are getting from some (conservative) sources out there is that he is not the true pope. They pushed Benedict out and installed this one. He is simply not our pope. He can’t be. There is also some talk that there are changes coming to Church doctrine that are totally anti – Catholic, even anti – Christian. Could he be the False Prophet? We are watching….and waiting.

    • The American Preisdent is not in the business of dethroning popes, no matter how bad they might be.

  14. Catholic doctrin says about papal infallibility, the pope cannot err when he teaches in matters of faith or morals, so it claims. I don’t know since when this explanation of papal infability appears, but I think in the beginning, it was not like that.
    Infallibility means infallibility, it the pope can do wrong, then it should not get the attribute of infallibility. The Catholics who reinterpret this doctrin must have learnt from the same master as the Islamists who now are very good at the miracle of reinterpretation, changing the meaning of words in Quran or hadtihs so it will suit whatever needed to defend Islam, trying to cover up the evil of Islam.
    If I call the muslims are stupid because they just believe whatever their preachers or sheiks say without thinking, should I say the same to the Catholics? So far, I see the same attitude from the Catholics toward the Catholic church as the muslims toward their preachers.

    • Infalibility only refers to church doctrine–not to this sort of idiocy. (I am not sayng that * consider the pontiff to be infallible re church doctrine, myself–this is basically impossible since popes have disagreed at times. I just mean that this claim never referred to their every action).

Der katholischen Kirche gefällt wahrscheinlich das Prinzip der Unterwerfung im Islam besser, als die Entmachtung des Klerus durch die Aufklärung und die französische Revolution. Der Islam ist ja nicht einfach so ein Glaubensbekenntnis, sondern eine Staatsform. Der Koran regelt alles, bis ins kleinste Detail , das Leben der Gläubigen. Diese Macht hatte der christliche Klerus viele Jahrhunderte lang auch. Er bestimmte und regelte das ganze Leben der Menschen zusammen mit den Kaisern und Königen. Die Arbeitsteilung bestand zwischen dem weltlichen und geistlichen Herrschern in der Absprache: Halt du sie arm. Ich halt sie dumm. Und genau dieses Prinzip verkörpert der Islam noch heute.

    • fully agree. You keep them poor. I’ll keep them stupid this the principal most religion follow. The same is done in USA by Republicans. That is why they fund NASA only geopolitical reasons even though return on scientific research is 10 times or more. Most people don’t realize Islam is toppling Democracy after democracy all over the world by violence and number in countries like India. In 1947 , Muslim population was 6% today about 30% and threatening to take over the country

        You are sadly right about India, though. Meanwhile, Hindus and Christians hve been virtually wiped out in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
