It’s a traditional thing: during the transition from one presidential administration to another the outgoing first lady hosts the incoming one for tea and shows her around the White House. This is one of the more genteel accouterments of the peaceful transfer of power in the U.S., but it has become more fiery this time around, as Melania Trump has just declined an invitation from Jill Biden to sit down for a happy transition chat. Ungracious? Bad manners? Hateful? We will be hearing all of that and more from the left’s propaganda organs, but as is always the case, reality is different.
The New York Post reported Monday that Melania “declined an offer to head to the White House Wednesday and meet with Jill Biden, citing the Biden administration’s past raid on Mar-a-Lago as part of the federal government’s investigation into classified documents.” Ah, now that makes sense. Holding this corrupt and authoritarian regime accountable and refusing to normalize it or to act as if its criminal acts were just all part of the great game of American politics could be the most consequential and important thing that Melania Trump, or any first lady, has ever done.
The Post quoted an unnamed source who was “familiar with Melania’s decision” and said: “She ain’t going. Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting. Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet.”
This is harsh language, but the source certainly had a point. Donald Trump and Joe Biden aren’t just political opponents after the fashion of Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan or George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Biden is the first president ever to have treated his principal opponent and eventual elected successor as if he were a criminal. What polite veneer can or should remain between the Trumps and the Bidens after that?
Biden is the first president ever to have declared that the leader of the opposition was outside the bounds of acceptable political discourse when he said: “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic.” That wasn’t just heated rhetoric, either: the Biden-Harris regime and its henchmen acted upon it with the Mar-a-Lago raid, the conversion of misdemeanors into felonies in order to be able to brand Trump a “convicted felon,” the fabrication of a rape charge out of the obvious fabrications of a histrionic fantasist, and so much more.

Calling Trump a Nazi ,and calling the people who voted for him garbage has its consequences Raiding his home after Trump gave the FBI and DOJ permission to go threw all the files he took and storied there. They look threw them put a lock on the room they where in said they would think about coming back. Michelle Obama set it off with her pretense of not understanding Melania’s offer of a gift at the inauguration (MO was exposed on video bringing a gift to her own predecessor) followed by years of catty comments. Then the Bidens continued BHO’s spy state wars against Trump.
I’ve heard complaints that Melania has no public role or causes. What she did was far more important; she focused on their son and it seems to have paid off. I assume that’s unappreciated as the left would rather watch a train wreck. Then there was the endless criticism of her and her efforts with the repeated assertions that she was about to leave DT. Who can blame Melania for holding herself back?
What happened to women supporting women? It’s nowhere to be seen, as with the UK industrial rape victims.

I previously had no opinion on Melania Trump – either positive or negative, but this rebuff of Jill Biden has skyrocketed my respect for her. She had several good reasons:
⮞ As described in this story, the Bidens demonizing her husband and his supporters to the point that her husband was almost assassinated was a good reason for her to treat the Bidens w/ the contempt they richly deserve
⮞ In 2016, when she was moving in, she tried to extend a hand of friendship to Michele Obama, who instead treated her w/ contempt
⮞ The Mar-a-Lago raid, where her wardrobe was raised on the assumption that her husband was a garden variety crook who would hide documents in his wife’s wardrobe, was pretty disgusting. Just b’cos Bill Clinton hid documents in his sock drawer, they assumed that the Trumps were as uncouth as he was
⮞ Unlike 2016, she knows the lay of the White House, so doesn’t need to plan any decorations. She can just go back to what she had before, and for that, she doesn’t need to humor Dr Jill
If JD gets elected in 2028, since Usha Vance is more of a top notch lawyer than a decorator, Melania could probably help her plan the White House decorations during that transition

The House dmes are already planning how to sabotage what Mr. Trump intends to do. The hideous jayapal, jeffries and others don’t give a fig about what the American people want…the reasons for the election of Mr. Trump as opposed to the cackling hyena…and are determined to keep things as they have been.
The bidens probably have plans of their own for the WH….like the clintons did when they stole a lot of the furnishings and messed up a lot more.
Mrs. Trump has decided to keep a low profile;;;which is good because she is not the elected person (many so-called first ladies have acted as if they were elected ). and now, she has shown it’s not because she is not a capable woman, by declining to make nice with a she beast when she has no reason to.

First Lady Trump went down to the TX-MX Border soon after Donald became President because she wanted to see for herself the conditions these children were being held in at the Border.
CNN complained that she was wearing the wrong Shoes.
Both Mrs Clinton and Mrs Obama were in the White House for 8 years each and never once went down to the Border to see about the conditions those wee kids were in.
I guess these two didn’t have the correct shoes to wear… Ya think ?.
