India: Muslims attack police during special election in Uttar Pradesh and play the victim a minute later

An incident of Muslims initiating violence and using women and children as shields was recently reported from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, and provides a notable example of Muslims using similar tactics worldwide. On Wednesday, November 20, sudden mayhem broke out during by-polls in Meerapur of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. In India, a by-poll, also known as a by-election, is a special election to fill a vacancy that arises between general elections in a state or national legislative body. As the constituency geared up for the by-polls, an unruly crowd emerged out of nowhere and started throwing stones at the state police who were patrolling the area. The tension escalated and became a major clash after the officials retaliated and tried to disperse the violent crowd by waving their service pistols.

The Senior Superintendent of Police, Abhishek Singh, had to bring additional security forces to the scene in order to manage the tense situation and restore normalcy.

As per reports, the chaos erupted when Muslims in large numbers reached the polling venue to cast their votes. The police were appointed to such spots to control the crowd, check the IDs of every voter per India’s voting guidelines, and ask them to maintain discipline and follow due procedures. This is what rubbed the crowd the wrong way, and they began throwing stones at the police. Photos and videos from the incident are available all over the Internet, and clearly show the presence of women and children in the rioting mobs. Many women could be seen participating by throwing stones from their rooftops or attacking the police. Stones are seen scattered all over the roads. One video also shows a child bending down to pick up a stone. Cops were reportedly taking cover behind walls to evade the assault. To counter these potentially fatal attacks and chase away the rioters, police inspector Rajiv Sharma took out his revolver, as is understood from one of the viral clips from the incident. SSP Singh also corroborated this. He also disclosed that although additional officials were brought to the location after receiving reports of the conflict, the miscreants tried to block the route when the police arrived. When the police tried to remove the road barricade, the Muslims started hurling stones at them also. The police had to use the required measures to quell this violence. The rioters left the area when the police intervened, and placed their women in the forefront to face the police. Then, after starting the unrest, the Muslims began to play the victim and claimed that the state police were harassing them.

Muslim politicians and leaders further advanced this foul plan to gain sympathy for the Muslims and pander to the narrative of Muslim victimhood once again. A candidate of the Samajwadi Party (SP), a political party that is notorious for its blatant appeasement of Muslims, Sumbul Rana, alleged that the police hindered the voting process by scrutinizing voters’ IDs and harassing them.

Unrest of a similar pattern was reported in Sisamau, Kanpur as well: Muslim voters complained that the police were checking their IDs, and another Samajwadi Party candidate, Naseem Solanki, accused the police of preventing such Muslim voters from casting their votes.

Candidate Arshad Rana of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), another Islamic political party in India, also joined the bandwagon of victim playing by raising serious concerns regarding police conduct.

The common argument of all these Muslim politicians was that the police were stopping defenseless Muslim voters, particularly women, from exercising their rights.

Be it Israel, Kashmir, or any other part of the world where Muslim forces are at war with a more rational and secular force, there will always be allegations of innocent Muslim women and children being attacked by force opposing Islamic fascism. It has happened for decades, and will continue to occur for many years. Social media platforms such as Facebook are brimming with Muslim pages posting mostly AI-generated caricatures of starving Palestinian babies and crying burqa-clad women faced with a Israeli soldier who is pointing a gun at them. These posts have immense reach, and are widely shared by Muslims and non-Muslims who act as Islamic apologists. Instead of getting influenced by such narratives, what the world needs to understand is that jihadis and their allies are masterful at playing the victim right after initiating attacks. They almost always use their women and children to shield their evil deeds, because they are aware that nothing triggers global sympathy more than the mention of “innocent children and hapless women.” However, it has always been discovered that the so-called innocent and the hapless aren’t that innocent and hapless after all. They are only a part of the Muslim machinery.
