Offering to negotiate with Islamic terrorists is a statement of weakness.
As a reported truce agreement with the Hezbollah Islamic terrorist group winds its way through the process, the terror group fired 250 rockets into Israel marking one of the largest assaults in a while.
To Western minds, the two events, a truce and an attack, seem disconnected, but in the Muslim world, negotiating with terrorists is exactly what leads to terrorism.
As I recently wrote in ‘The Gentle Art of Negotiating With Terrorists’, trying to make peace with terrorists signals weakness.
Offering to negotiate with Islamic terrorists is a statement of weakness. Jihadists only offer to negotiate out of fear, weakness or to entrap us and they assume we do the same thing. Nothing would ever convince them that we genuinely want to live in peace with them or that we prefer alternatives to violence. So any time we offer to negotiate, they see it as a weakness or a trick.
Some are trying to spin the proposed truce with Hezbollah as a victory. It’s not. Any deals made here are worthless, not only won’t Hezbollah keep them, neither will any other parties whether it’s the UN, the Lebanese government or the international community. All that such a deal does is give the enemy a chance to recover and sends a signal of weakness. And the terrorists respond by announcing that they intend to press their attack.

Absolutely. A few days ago, rockets rained on Israel. And iran, on whose behalf hezbollah fights Israel, is still threatening something horrible.
So why give the terrorists what they want….which is breathing room to regroup and rearm?

Of course the Idiotic Western MSM, which thankfully is losing credibility by the year (by the month?), is lauding this “nothing of nothing” cease-fire. Ditto for the puppet in the White House, one Joe Biden, who is THE worst President in American history, even worse than Pierce, Buchanan, Wilson, Hoover, Carter and Obama.
The fact of the matter is that the events of October 7th, 2023 in Israel would never have happened had Trump still been President. Joe Biden, who couldn’t even run a Dairy Queen or hardware store were he in charge, has been an utter disaster across the board. Whether it is the debacle which presently are America’s borders, massive inflationary spending, the use of lawfare to go after political enemies (chiefly Trump but there are others), indulging woke nonsense ad nauseam, or demonizing upwards of half of all Americans, Biden has proven to be a virtually entire negative as President.
But I will go further here. Biden’s fifty some year political career has been an utter waste. He as Senator
(1973-2009), Vice-President (2009-2017) and President (2021-2025) has only hurt America. He has done no good and much harm. He is exactly the kind of life-long politician that the Founding Fathers definitely did not want. And he is quite arguably the single worst example of what the Founders did not desire in the political realm more so than any single other figure in American history. Here Biden is indeed, I would contend, #1, What an utter disaster this man has been to America.

If the Dems had thought of it in time – they would have introduced term limits to prevent Trump from running.
So, “No” to term limits – and “Yes” to cognitive testing and financial accountability.

Also, why is the agreement b/w Israel and Lebanon? Lebanon isn’t the one that has been sending its troops against Israel: Hizbullah – one of its loose cannon rogue parties that reports directly to the Ayatollahs – has been. So Israel should tell Hizbullah that it’ll not hesitate to resume the war if the treaty is at all violated. Eg if even a single rocket flies out of South Lebanon into Galilee, this deal is off
If Israel was aware of the Treaty of al-Hudaybiyya, they would have done well to tell Hizbullah (or Hamas) that those were the terms they’d go by: respect the ceasefire until they feel emboldened to resume the war, and then resume the war
