There is no such “right of return” recognized under international law. But that hasn’t kept the “Palestinians” from claiming such a right, nor prevented Western news agencies, such as the AP, from similarly claiming such a right. More on this claim, and its falsity, can be found here: “AP Upgrades Palestinian ‘Right of Return’ Demand to International Law,” by Tamar Sternthal, CAMERA, November 4, 2024:
The so-called “right of return” has been a fundamental Palestinian demand ever since the initial effort to eliminate the nascent state of Israel failed 76 years ago, but in recent days the Associated Press upgraded the unfulfilled aspiration into international law.
In their Oct. 31 article, “Banning UNRWA will lead to a vacuum and more suffering for Palestinians, the agency’s chief says,” AP’s Baraa Anwer and Sara El Deeb invented: “International law gives Palestinian refugees and their descendants the right to return to their homes.”
An Oct. 29 AP article by Joseph Krauss, Julia Frankel and Melanie Lidman also erred, citing a non-existent Palestinian right under international law to return to their 1948 homes: “Palestinians say refugees and their descendants, who now number nearly 6 million, should be allowed to exercise their right under international law to return home” (“Israel approves two bills that could halt UNRWA’s aid delivery to Gaza . . .”)
In fact, there is nothing in international law which gives Palestinian refugees and their descendants “the right to return to their homes.”
The non-binding U.N. Resolution 194, passed by the United Nations’ General Assembly, does not “give” Palestinians “the right to return to their homes.” Moreover, its language — “should be permitted” — denotes a suggestion, not a guarantee….
In short, while it’s entirely accurate to state that Palestinians demand a “right of return,” or Palestinians believe they have a “right of return,” it is completely false to say that international law gives Palestinians a “right of return” to homes lost in 1948.
CAMERA yesterday contacted AP to request a correction. As of this writing, no correction has yet appeared, suggesting a commitment to factual accuracy somewhat lagging behind the steadfast Palestinian insistence on the “right of return.”…
The “Palestinians” constantly insist that they have a “right of return” to what is now Israel. There is no such right recognized in international law. But by dint of repetition, they have managed to convince much of the world’s media that there is such a “right.” The AP, for example, that in the past was always careful to explain that the Palestinians “believed” or “claimed” they had such a right — a phrasing that made clear it was not a right enshrined in international law — has just dropped the part about the “Palestinians believe” or the “Palestinians claim,” and instead, simply reports that “Palestinians say refugees and their descendants, who now number nearly 6 million, should be allowed to exercise their right under international law to return home.”
Nowhere in international law is such a right recognized. And were it to be recognized, it would apply only to those refugees who can demonstrate their willingness to “live at peace with their neighbors,” a condition that was not accepted by the Palestinian leadership or the vast majority of the refugees themselves who invoked Resolution 194, and is certainly not accepted by them today. How many Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, or in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, would, if they were allowed to exercise a so-called “right of return,” be able to “live at peace with their Jewish neighbors”? We know the answer to that.
James Hoagland says
Arabs should not be citizens in Eretz Yisrael! Yisrael should be a Jewish Republic. Like the Muslims have republics as do others. A liberal democracy is foolishness as such a democracy is foolishness as in unworkable. The USA is designed to be a Constitutional Republic and through the Constitution is the best form of democratic government yet devised. But Eretz Yisrael should be a Jewish Republic with others allowed residency status as they qualify for.

And what of the 850,000 Jews whoi were expelled and or forced to leave their arab lands, with their lives but without more than their clothing most of the time. They were taken in by Israel and other nations, where they had to become citizens and earn the right to be there. What of their previous lands and what was stolen from them. The arabs do have a right to live in Israel, but only as citizens of Israel, loyal and lawful- otherwise, get out and go to some land of bigotry- there are 22 other states of arab lands- where they can freely engage their bigotry.

“ And what of the 850,000 Jews who were expelled and or forced to leave their arab lands”
Nah, no “right of return”, according to Muslims.
Everything is always a one-way street for Muslims. Just like their claims that Jews are “settler-colonialists” in Israel. But the savage hordes of millions of Mahoundians who are infesting the West? Settler-colonialists? Nah… perish the thought.

So called Arab Palestinians are a Phantom Nation. They are just imperial muslims out to conquer the world and use whatever phony propaganda to achieve their goal. Read the history before under the Ottomans and it was Zionists Jews who brought this land back to life. Arabs came because here there were jobs here and because of their hatredness of Jews and Jews being successful gives them nightmares.

mozlums don’t obey the **real** laws unless it suits them; and then make up fictional laws to enable them to be where they want to be, no matter what.
As we learned early this year, many mozlums…even hamas members…work for news organizations. Weren’t there some working for the AP?. Baraa Anwer and Sara El Deeb appear to be.
mozlums lie. They are taught from infancy to lie, esp to promote islam and its pursuit of world domination.
Saying this lie, printing and publishing this lie, in hopes that everyone else will begin to say it.
James Lincoln says
somehistory,
Infidels who do not lie about everything are at a disadvantage when dealing with muslims.
Difficult for those Infidels to accept the fact that devout muslims constantly lie – about everything.
gravenimage says
James, I still think that eventuaally the truth will out, and that truth is better than lying.
James Lincoln says
Yes, gravenimage.
I wasn’t implying that infidels should lie just because devout muslims do.
Just that many Infidels are naïve about the boatload of lying that devout muslims do.
somehistory says
James, I am of the opinion that people should make every effort to tell the Truth when the one to whom words are spoken, deserves to hear Truth.
One reason for this is from the Bible in the case of Abraham and Sarah when the ruler wanted to take Sarah and Abraham told him that Sarah was his sister, but he found out differently. Isaac did the same in another instance.
“7 The men of Gerar asked Isaac about his wife. He told them, ‘She is my sister.’ He was afraid to say, ‘She is my wife.’ He thought that the men of Gerar might kill him because Rebekah was very beautiful.”
So, if I was helping someone flee from murderers and they asked me if I knew where their intended victim was, I would lie to them.
satan is the ‘father of the lie.’ Christians are to be truthful as far as possible. Christ set the Standard.
But we can’t expect others to have the same standards because many people set their own standards of speech and behavior.
and, of course, mozlums are taught that lying is a good thing because it furthers the spread of islam. that proves it is from the ‘father of the lie.’
James Lincoln says
100% true, somehistory.
Thanks for the reply.

Absolutely not. Who voted “NO” to the UN offer of having a State? Palestinians. Who urged war instead and called on the Arab League to send the armies of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and “volunteers” into Israel to destroy it? Palestinians. Who aided the invading Arab armies with terrorism inside of Israel? Palestinians. Who turned their “refugee” camps inside Lebanon, Syria and other states into recruitment centers for armed aggression against Israel? Palestinians. Which group has never had a Peace Parade in 76 years of Israel’s existence? Palestinians. Who initiated “uprisings” or “intifadas” against Israel from within Israel? Palestinians. Who cheered Oct. 7th massacre and gang rapes and inhuman executions of children and infants? Palestinians.
With a record like that who needs them?
Might as well put out a call for all Jew hating Nazis to come to Israel and partake in the killing of Jews.
rick says
Quite the opposite. Instead of allowing the descendants of Arabs who fled Israel in 1948 and waited in neighboring Arab states while Arab armies “moped up” the Jews and threw them in the sea and then returned to take part in the plunder of Jewish homes and possessions, Many Palestinians within Israel today are a threat to the security of Israel and should be expelled. Those Palestinians who have nothing to do with 1948 but still are waiting to share in the spoils of Jewish built wealth are only a further threat to join another Oct 7th “celebration attack” on Jews. Let them stay in what should be their adopted countries but unfortunately for them, Arabs are on to who they are and want nothing to do with them. Hated inside Israel as well as outside Israel.

Walter Sieruk says
The “Palestinians” might have a right to return to “Palestine” if and only if there was an actual, genuine “Land of Palestine” In really such a land doesn’t exist.
Let’s consider the facts, that “The land of Israel was renamed Syria Palestrina by Hadrian, the Roman Emperor. Following the second revolt against Rome in AD 132- 135. The Philistines had always been the enemy of the Jews .and as such it was an insult to the Jewish people.” [1]
It should also be added, that Hadrian had deliberately intended the renaming of Israel to be an insult and offence to the Jews.

History reveals that the ancient Philistines recorded in the Bible and history reveals the people who came from the Greek Islands and some parts of the mainland Greece and the Island of Crete They have no connection, at all, the to the Arab /Muslim of modern times who called themselves the “Palestinians.”
From those ancient people, the Philistines, the word “Palestine” .came into being.
There is no genuine ethic group or race who are the “Palestinians.”
Early in the last century a anyone living in that land, Arab or Jew, who lived in that land was called a ”Palestinian.”
Only after 1964 did the Arab/Muslims start to refer to themselves , exclusively , by the word “Palestinian.”
The reason for that is that they felt that by giving themselves that title they would appear to have some kind of valid claim on that land.
Indeed, there never was a “Palestinian state.”
Walter Sieruk says
All genuine Christians who know the Bible should be very willing to declare the truth, which is that God had given all this land that now composes the State of Israel, including all of the West Bank, to the Jewish people. This may be found in the Bible, as seen in, for example, Genesis 28:13-15. 35:10-12. Deuteronomy 32:48,49. Psalm 105:7-11.
In other words the Jews have tall this land by Divine Right. Furthermore, the Jewish people should have this land by historic rights as shown in First Kings 4:20,21, 24,25. 8:55, 56.
For the Bible informs its reader “For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.” Psalm 135:4. [N.K.J.V.]
Walter Sieruk says
There never has been nor are there now any genuine ethnic or race of people who are the “Palestinians.”
In reality, they are the Arabs of the area of the Middle East. The idea that there are a distinct “Palestinian people’ is a modern fiction. Likewise the “Palestine flag is a fake flag.
Those Arab/Muslims who call themselves “Palestinians” have applied that term only for themselves in the hope of giving them some kind of “valid” claim on the land that is the State of Israel, in the view in the people of the other nations of this world.

The “Palestinians” (Arabs) left Israel in 1948 voluntarily to allow the Arab army attacking Israel and annihilating Israel. So, those Arabs have no right to return at all, as they make themselves the traitors and the enemies of Israel (and they are still the enemies of Israel).
It is a very typical mind of Islamists, they think once an area is occupied by muslims, then it will be muslims’ forever, and other non muslims’ area should also belong to muslims. In short, the whole world should belong to muslims.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
That’s the only rationale for UNRWA existing: only the “Palestinians” have a “right of return”. Otherwise that would all be handled by UNHRC
One of the things Trump should do is pressurize all other Arab countries – Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, et al to take in all Palestinians, including from Gaza and Judea/Samaria – who refuse to peacefully co-exist besides Israel, and let Israel annex these territories. Both Caroline Glick and David Friedman have made compelling cases for Israel to be a single country that includes all of that

In the beginning, it was all Israel and anyone living there and was not a Jew had to abide by the Laws of the Jews or face the consequences. No one was allowed to do what mozlums do daily.

Like all other human beings so-called Palestinians individually have a “right to return” – to the soil whence our common ancestor Adam was molded – dust to dust, ashes to ashes! With the one exception of Eichmann Israel has always treated the bodies of everyone with respect and gives every dead person a proper burial, regardless of whether the person was friend or foe. Or course for non-Jews who die outside Israel there is no right to be interred in Israeli soil. Those non-Jewish residents living within Israel have the right to remain there provided they respect the laws of the sovereign Jewish state.
OLD GUY says
If your country is defeated in a war YOUR country/leaders started you have no right to anything. And sadly for the Palestinians not even the other muslim/islamic countries want them.
Why is that?
