Choudary is a clever man. He continues to wage jihad against shattered, staggering, dhimmi Britain, this time via soaking it and weakening its financial and legal systems with this frivolous appeal. He sees weakness and he exploits it.

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary has lodged an appeal against his life sentence, potentially costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds in legal fees.
Firebrand Choudary, 57, who radicalised dozens of Islamist extremists, including soldier Lee Rigby’s killers, was jailed for at least 28 years in July for secretly running a banned terror group.
He was expected to die in prison but has lodged an appeal at the High Court to try to quash the sentence and conviction.
His latest legal battle could run through the Appeal Court, Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights for years.
Last night Anthony Glees, a terrorism expert at Buckingham University, said: ‘This appeal is an appalling waste of taxpayer cash.
‘There is no doubt in anyone’s mind, be they a humble juror or a High Court judge, that Choudary is a highly dangerous fanatic and that this country should be protected from the venom he spews.’
Last night the Criminal Appeal Office within the High Court in London confirmed it had received Choudary’s appeal application.
Choudary, of Ilford, east London, was convicted of directing terrorist organisation Al-Muhajiroun (ALM), which was proscribed in 2006. Woolwich Crown Court heard he gave online lectures to the Islamic Thinkers Society (ITS), the American branch of ALM, which was trying to recruit members across the US and Canada….

The problem with your suggestion, albeit a very understandable one is this :-
Should this piece of vermin ever manage to again secure his freedom he will receive around the clock protection at his 100% tax payer funded home, which is located in decent leafy superb in Ilford. It will be nigh on impossible to get to him to hand out the public style of justice he deserves.
His family live off the taxpayers and have done so for decades. The roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, food on the table, access to NHS and state education etc…. everything is paid for out of the public purse.

Choudary is a protected man inside or out of prison. He had 24/7 Police protection before he was jailed and will receive it again should he ever manage to gain his freedom. He is the lowest of the low, but very smart, he knows how to play the system. Some years back, cannot remember when precisely he tried to leave the UK to head back to his parents place of birth which is the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, but the British Authorities confiscated his passport. I presume they felt it was more beneficial to keep him in the UK where they could continue to monitor his activities as opposed to allowing him to disappear. He is an extremely dangerous individual.

You got to know the lawyers love it, more money in their pockets. Just like here in America a death sentence means the defense team has 30 years of legal fees to bill the tax payers, and we already pay the legal fees for the prosecutor and the court system along with the health and welfare of the prisoner. Once again the tax payer is carrying the burden. Millions of dollars are spent on the criminal and the victim and their family gets WHAT.

Can anyone think of a better system? We may not like it when the legal system is being played either to delay executions or get onto the public stage but this imperfect system is the best the World has ever seen. It varies, of course, in the US, Great Britain, Canada, etc. but basically it’s the same.
The concept that “First we’ll give him a fair trial and then we’ll hang him” is a bit outdated in a civilized society.

Is it out dated to ask that sentences be carried out in a reasonable time? 3 to 5 years should be adequate not 25 to 30.

The fool didn’t know when to shut up.
He’ll be complaining while locked up for the next 30 years and the cost to the taxpayer is worth every penny and Sterling £.
As for hanging, at Nuremberg they hanged Nazis and collaborators with piano wire. We are more humane and Choudary may as well be in a zoo cage gnashing his teeth while waiting for the dinner bell. He’ll be asking for death.
