Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023, and gets a state as a reward — a new jihad base from which it will work for the destruction of what’s left of Israel.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister has announced an “international alliance” to press for Palestinian statehood, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, state media said on Friday.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the “International Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution” included Arab and Islamic countries, as well as European partners, the Saudi Press Agency said, without giving details.

The Gaza war has revived talk of a “two-state solution” of Israeli and Palestinian states living in peace side by side, but analysts said the goal seems more unattainable than ever.

The hard-right Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains implacably opposed to Palestinian statehood.

Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter and custodian of Islam’s two holiest sites, paused US-brokered talks on recognising Israel after the Gaza war broke out between Hamas Palestinian militants and Israel.

Earlier this month, the kingdom’s de facto ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, toughened his tone, explicitly saying that an “independent Palestinian state” is a condition for normalisation.

A senior official of the Saudi-based Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) told AFP that the new coalition “consists mainly of Islamic and Arab members of OIC plus some European countries”….

  3. As Robert Spencer has written in his book “The Palestinian Delusion,” a two-state solution will never work as long as the vast majority of the Palestinian Arabs cling to a jihadist ideology, that refuses to accept the existence of a predominantly Jewish Israeli state.

    • Unfortunately, most Muslims see the “two state solution” as a step to destroying Israel.

      • That’s true and Saudi Arabia and Qatar will back that plan. Both of these countries don’t seem to want to take in their fellow islamic followers from Gaza.

      • Actually, while MbS is the de-facto ruler and runs all policies in Saudi Arabia, there is one where his father – the reigning king Salman – has kept control on, and that is Israel. He has made it clear that he wouldn’t normalize relations w/ Israel until there is a Pali state

        I think it’ll hinge on what happens in this Iran-Israel war. If the islamic regime falls, then the Saudis will likely go along, since there won’t be much Arab appetite for a conflict w/ Israel (unless Erdogan decides to step into the ring). But if Kamala wins the election and successfully supports Israel, then it’ll be another story

    • The Arabs who claim to be “Palestinian” is a fabrication devised by Nasser as a ploy to deny Jewish claims based on the Bible. They were supported by the KGB as part of their contention with the USA during the Cold War. There is “The Palestinian Delusion” but there also is another masterpiece- the two volume “Phantom Nation” by Shai ben Tekoa. These two books give honest, factual information and should be standard reading in at least universities and elite high schools throughout the West.

  5. Saudi Arabia opposed a Jewish state in the Middle East in a historical FDR and King Ibn Saud in 1945. Nothing had changed apparently and the carrot of “normalization” is a rotten one.
    No Palestinian state will rise and choose peace. 100 years have born that out. Until the Arabs choose to build rather than destroy, Israel will not take the bait.

  7. Let us agree on a few simple, verifiable truths.
    1. The Palestinian Arabs exist.
    2. Their number, around 5 million in Gaza, Judea and Samaria, is too big to be granted Israeli citizenship without converting Israel in the 23rd Arab failed state.
    3. A majority of those Arabs want to destroy Israel, a minority wants to live in peace with Israel.
    4. Due to their incessant Islamist terrorism and glorification of martyrdom, ask the Kuwaitis, Jordanians and Lebanese, they are unwanted in most countries, including Arab countries. Everywhere where they stay, they destabilise countries.

    The logical conclusion, which MBS probably already derived, is that there should be a Palestinian Arabs state, which has no army and is populated by the peaceful minority. This can be developed in a kind of Hongkong or Singapore.

    The aggressive majority should be re-educated in an open air psychiatric institution, like the Chinese did in Xinjiang. The most logical location for this state is in historic Philistia, i.e. Gaza, with a few exclaves in Judea and Samaria.

    • With all respect, the idea that rewaeding Hamas and the PA with a state for waging Jihad terror for years and then hoping it will–somehow–become another Hong Kong or Sngapore is just not realistic. Both Hama and the PA have the destruction of Israel in their charters.

      • Both of those corrupt entities should be dismantled. There should be a clean polity to replace them, preferably under Israeli supervision. As I said, we should distinguish between peaceful Arabs, who want to live in peace with Israel and prosper, and jihadist Arabs. It is not a crime to be an Arab, it is a crime to be a genocidal Hamas supporting murderer. Jihadist Arabs should be reeducated, hopeless specimens should be reconstituted or composted.

    • There is no “re-education” for rabid mozlums. they like what they are and like what they do and want to keep doing until they reach their goal of conquering and subduing all of mankind under their false god and fake prophet….with horrible conditions imposed.

      Isarel should not have to give more land…they have already given and given….to appease the terrorists. Why should they have to put up with rabid mozlums as living next door and threatening, just because other countries made up of mozlums and run by mozlums don’t want the so-called palestinians?
      Answer: they shouldn’t have to. If the other nations are so gung-ho for these mozlums to have a land of their own, they can partition and share what they have.

  8. Always said that the abraham accords is a farce agreement. All the so called moderate gulf states will always push for a palestinian state in pre 1967 borders. Even though the rulers are ready to recognize Israel’s existence, it doesn’t mean they will ignore the palestinian cause. The population of these gulf states and top leadership still want a palestinian state. Israel is never going to accept a palestinian state in 67 borders. So this abraham accords is a joke, it is never going to work. If by any chance, in a full scale war the ayatollah are thrown out and Iran becomes a democracy then don’t think abraham accords will have any value. Also Iran becoming a democracy can trigger similar protest in neighbouring gulf states. Gulf monarchs are very well aware of this scenario. For the abraham accords to work in future, there has to be a palestinian state of some sort which both sides agree on.
