Lebanon is indeed a Hizballah mini-state, yet the UN and the Western world don’t dare take any official notice of what Samir Geagea is bravely stating.
Samir Geagea also stated: “If the Lebanese army had been on the border, Israel would not have attacked Lebanon.” But the Lebanese army is noticeably absent, while Hizballah (like Hamas) uses civilians as human shields.
Since the early 90’s, Hizballah has remained an accepted armed “resistance” group in the country to fight “Israeli occupation in south Lebanon.” The group’s “presence in parliament and the Lebanese government, and its alliance with various political parties, allowed it to control the country and veto decisions that do not fit its agenda or promote its interest.”
Hizballah is the most powerful Iranian proxy. Yet it has been severely damaged in recent Israeli operations. Its longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed; then Nasrallah’s successor Hashem Safieddine was himself killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Beirut in early October. Safieddine had studied at Islamic seminaries in Iran before becoming a top Muslim cleric and leader in Hizballah.
Its high time the world wake up and put responsibility for Israel’s war where it belongs: on jihadists and their supporters, who aim to see Israel obliterated from the River to the Sea, and who are willing to sacrifice their own people (including children) as “martyrs” to do so.
“Christian Lebanese politician demands gov’t say ‘enough’ to Hezbollah,” Jerusalem Post, October 28, 2024:
“Hezbollah has built tunnels and barriers under the watchful eyes of Lebanon’s official agencies,” KAN cited the official as saying.
A member of the Christian Lebanese Forces party reportedly demanded in parliament that the government stop Hezbollah from bringing further problems to the country, KAN reported on Monday.
“Hezbollah has built tunnels and barriers under the watchful eyes of Lebanon’s official agencies,” KAN cited the official as saying. “It is the state’s responsibility to tell Hezbollah—enough, your policies, your strategy, the axis of (resistance) across arenas, and alignment with Iran are bringing disaster upon Lebanon.”
Last week, the party’s leader, Samir Geagea, was cited by the Saudi state-owned news outlet Al Arabiya as saying, “If the Lebanese army had been on the border, Israel would not have attacked Lebanon.”
Earlier in October, Geagea reiterated his opinion of the terror group….
He further claimed that following Israel’s September elimination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, the “decision-making has fallen into the hands of Iran and what’s left of Hezbollah fighters, led by Iranian officers.”…

Samir Geagea is one of the few people who stood for a Christian Lebanon. In the 80s, he was an associate of the late President-elect Bashir Gemayel, who was assassinated shortly after his election by a Syrian agent. Since then, he had been jailed for several years before being released
He would be a key part of any future Lebanese government if it’s to make peace w/ Israel

So Israel is doing what the Lebanese people and the Lebanese Army cannot accomplish.
I can see that Israel could market itself around the world as a consultant to other countries on how to fix their problems. An underground network of jihadists in your capital city… let’s see..for few billion shekels and a couple of weeks work, Israel could hand you a list of every local Mohammed about commit mayhem (and their instantaneous whereabouts and what brand of underwear if any they are wearing).
