Why did they pray in a mosque before their jihad attack? Because they considered what they were about to do to be a holy act. “Kill them wherever you find them,” says the Qur’an (2:191, 4:89, cf. 9:5). One who does so is fulfilling the command of Allah.
Note that this report states that once they screamed “Allahu akbar,” people realized it was a “nationalist” act. That is false. These people are not fighting so that they can establish a nation. A “Palestinian” state would be part of the global Islamic community, which would achieve political union if possible (which it would prove not to be). They are fighting on behalf of the international umma. But no government anywhere acknowledges the existence of such an imperative.

An investigation into the Tuesday massacre in Jaffa, in which seven people were murdered, found that the terrorists, residents of Hebron, arrived in Jaffa through a check point in the Jerusalem area.
The investigation also shows that the terrorists arrived at the mosque where they stayed for a short time and prayed. After that they left to carry out the murderous attack….
After that, when they heard cries of “Allah Akbar”, they realized that this was a nationalist event. The two made contact and neutralized the terrorist, along with a citizen who was buying groceries at the grocery store.
The police and Shin Bet are still investigating whether the two terrorists had a nationalist background before the attack.

The report uses “they” for both the terrorists and the ones investigating without differentiating, making the reading confusing.
Why, under the present circumstances, are mozlums still being allowed to enter Israel? (I don’t believe they ever should have been.
