In the Qur’an, the jinn are spirit beings, created from smokeless fire; some obey Allah and some do not. In The Caliph’s House, the Afghan-English writer Tahir Shah’s marvelous account of his adventures moving his family to Morocco and buying and refurbishing a home in Casablanca, Shah is repeatedly amazed by the belief of the locals (including Westernized Moroccans whom he believes to be sophisticated) in the existence of jinn, the mischievous spirit beings who interfere in human affairs. And their invariable reply to his astonished inquiries is “It’s in the Qur’an.”
One of the most prominent treatments of the jinn in the Qur’an is in the Meccan sura 72. In verses 1-15, they recount their hearing of a wonderful “recitation,” or “Qur’an,” which leads them to profess belief in Allah who “has taken neither a wife nor a son” (72:3).

In the Bible, there is the account of angels in heaven who looked down and saw humans, saw their beauty, and wanted to have the women as did the male humans. So they came down and “took wives for themselves.”
In Jesus’ time on earth, these “fallen angels”…about which Jude informs the reader…were able to gain control of people and cause them to do things they would not have otherwise done. Any influence that the fallen angels, a.k.a. demons, have over humans is not a good thing. Humans are not ‘helped’ to defeat evil by employing demons.
It’s more likely that the demons are behind much of what the iranian government is doing, what hamas has done, what hezbollah and houthis have done.
Just as in the days of Daniel, another prophet from God, a demon had been fighting with the angel who went to see and help Daniel. The angel explained that the “prince from the royal realm of Persia” had interfered with him so that he was delayed in getting to the prophet until Michael the Archangel came to help.
Perhaps this “prince from the royal realm of Persia (iran),” is still busy trying to promote the worst of evils against innocent people.

Yes, I would think the Prince of Persia is still at it! Territorial spirits, instigating fights with other territories. And most of them aligned against the territory/nation that God said “I will choose a nation for my own, I will be their God, they will be my people” as the nations had gone after “gods” by rejecting the supreme God who made all of it. Including these “gods” or immortal beings, who had free agency and chose to be wicked.
That’s how I’m understanding it at this point. From certain people who have had encounters, even small territories have a spirit or “prince.” Such as native American reservations. Whatever you worship, you serve, whether you know it or not, is how I take it.
Some pastors have talked about major cities, having a ruler, and a kind of “personality” or bent towards certain problems relating to that ruler’s orientation.

According to what I read in the Bible, the spirits are not immortal. They are subject to destruction as the Bible says, “the fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Recall that the spirits Jesus expelled from the man asked Him if He was there to judge them/punish them at that time. He did not, but expelled them and allowed them to go into the herd of swine.
Revelation says that the devil and his angels were thrown down to the earth; the devil has ‘great anger’ because he knows his time is short.
He will be thrown into an abyss for a thousand years; be let out temporarily, and then destroyed for his evil choices…having been perfect when he rebelled against God.
The others who work evil along with satan, left their heavenly assignments and will have the same ending as satan.
And then the entire universe will be working in harmony with God’s will.
As Jesus told us to pray, ‘ for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ A time of great rejoicing in heaven and on earth.
