Why didn’t we do this?
In previous posts I had highlighted some of the family members of American victims of Hezbollah terror back in the 1980s asking why the United States could not have done what Israel just did. Obviously we could have.
And administration after administration chose not to.
The Reagan administration wanted to focus on the Cold War. The Bush I administration just did whatever the Saudis and Kuwaitis told them to and at the time the Saudis had other fish to fry. The Clinton administration was the next phase of the Carter administration and the prep phase for what would become the Obama administration. The Bush II administration did some good things but unfortunately, its attention ended up being held hostage by the extended nation-building attempt in Iraq. The Obama administration was actively allied with Iran. The Trump administration took out Iran’s terror boss Soleimani. And the Biden administration is to the Obama administration what it was to the Clinton administration.
And so Jared Kushner makes this startling point. “And now, over the past six weeks or so, Israel has eliminated as many terrorists on the US list of wanted terrorists as the US has done in the last 20 years.”
Israel’s accomplishments are unquestionably impressive, but that statistic is really due to two decades of inaction.
Consider stories like these which I’ve highlighted in the past.
A retired Navy SEAL whose brother was killed by Hezbollah terrorists expressed relief when he heard that Hassan Nasrallah was killed.
“When the sun went down yesterday, the world was a better place with Nasrallah not in it,” Kenneth Stethem told The Post on Saturday, less than 24 hours after Nasrallah, 64, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a Beirut suburb.
Stethem planned to break the news about Nasrallah’s death to his father, now 88, on Saturday.
When they last spoke two days ago, as Israel was bombarding Hezbollah, Stethem said he told his father, “Lady karma doesn’t forget, and tonight in Israel, the same people responsible for killing Rob are hearing bombs go off all around them.”
“He’s going to be grateful that [Hezbollah] was damaged as badly as they were damaged,” he told The Post of how he expected his dad to respond to the update.
Stethem’s mother died two years ago, but “she would be very grateful for what the Israelis had the courage to do,” the brother said.
This was how he was killed.
Robert Stethem, a Navy diver, was brutally murdered when Hezbollah terrorists took over TWA flight 847. The Iranian-backed terrorists, one of whom was Imad Mughniyah, beat and kicked him to death.
“They were jumping in the air and landing full force on his body. He must have had all his ribs broken,” Uli Derickson, the stewardess, described. “I was sitting only 15 feet away. I couldn’t listen to it. I put my fingers in my ears. I will never forget. I could still hear. They put the mike up to his face so his screams could be heard by the outside world.”
Why did we forget this? Why didn’t we pay these bastards back? That’s a question to be asked in D.C.

I recall watching a movie made of that demonic murdering of an innocent young man. The movie was very difficult to watch. I can only imagine what it was like for the stewardess and others on that horrible day.
That murder should have been answered immediately.

The politicians in control of the United State government have no idea how to overcome those malicious and malicious jihadists of many horrific and death dealing jihad entities.
The US policy of appeasement and compromise will and has only be viewed a weakness by those Muslim terrorists,
That awful policy of appeasement compromise were grew worse during the Obama administration, as seen with Iran, and then when Joe Biden sat in the Oval Office masquerading as the genuine US President things changed worse to the worst possible regarding violent and murderous jihadism. As observed in Biden handing over Afghanistan to that America hating Taliban, along with his betrayal and abandonment of many Americans still in that land, and friendly Afghans to those vicious Taliban savages. On top of those affronts, Biden also gave over the Taliban have all the high quality US military equipment. Biden also by removing sanctions held against that hostile Islamic regime of Iran. Thus supplying that America and Israel hating tyranny of Iran with billions of dollars. Much of with it uses to fund Hezbollah and Hamas.
In great and wise contrast to the folly of US policy, the government officials of the Jewish State of Israel do have a firm grip on the terrible reality of the situation of who to handle and those dangerous death inflecting jihadists of different yet in many ways similar jihad terror/murder entities
Take for example, Hamas. For when it comes to those brutal cruel vile heinous malicious and murderous jihadist savages of Hamas it’s “Either kill or be killed.”
Therefore, the Prime Minister Benjamin was not only right, for he also spoke the sensible thing to do when he declared, “No force in the world will stop us from elimination Hamas.”
So, Hamas needs to be hit long and hard and it should to hit with much military might and. struck great power repeatedly until it’s completely destroyed. As it had been also, rightly said “Half –measures is folly and madness.”
For jihadists of Hamas will not respond to reason or logic , in others words, they cannot and will not be reasoned with. The only language that are able to understand is that of being the receiving end of a power of a great military might. As Thomas Jefferson had ,rightly ,written “With every barbarous people…force is law.”
Even the leftist US President Franklin D. Roosevelt with all liberal socialist had very wisely declared, “No compromise can end that conflict. There never has been—there never can be—successful compromise between good and evil. Only total victory can reward the champions of tolerance, and decency, and freedom, and faith.”
Prime Minister Benjamin had revealed knowledge and wisdom by his statement about the need to about the very important and necessary need to engage in the “Elimination of Hamas.”
Walter Sieruk says
Joe Biden with his hideous influence is not only curse on America and the American people, but Biden is also a curse in the State of Israel and the people who are the citizens of Israel.
The government officials of the State of Israel do have a duty and obligation to have the Israeli military force response to those brutal cruel malice -filled murderous jihadists attacks of Hamas.
For it’s the responsibility of the government of Israel to protect the safety and lives of citizens , especially since that horrendous jihad entity, Hamas, started this war on October 7th by launching violent and deadly Islamic terrorists attacks on the peaceful Jewish people of Israel.
Therefore, the use of the military force against Hamas is a very important and necessary action of self-defense.
As the former US President James Monroe, had, rightly, in a speech declared, “The right of self -defense never ceases. It is among the most sacred, and alike necessary to nations and individuals.”
The Israel Defense Force needs to and should hit Hamas long and hard and keep on hitting it until that evil jihad entity is completely destroyed.
It also had been wisely said, “Half measures in war is folly and madness.”

Have tried to contact R D Stethem’s family; but not successful in 2 attempts.
Was a naive, selfish, and overconfident college student living in my parents’ home in Chicago during summer 1985. When I watched the tv news coverage of the hijacked terrorized TWA flight it was devastating.
I have worn a memorial bracelet for a couple years to help tell others about Robert Dean Stethem’s incredible courage and about what I have learned about i slamism thanks to Robert Spencer.

There is one clear leader of the West, Israel. They embody strength, tolerance, freedoms upheld all while constantly under terrorist threats. They are clear eyed about Islam while still trying to live peacefully with those who are less jihad minded.
The whole West needs to get behind Israel – the canary in the coal mine for Islam’s plan to conquer us all. They will not go peacefully into the night and commit suicide.
None of us should!

Go, Israel! Sadly, though, this also shows the lack of will in the US–and the rest of the West.

Why didn’t we do this?
Answers: ACLU, SCOTUS (which was left leaning before Trump) & other Leftist NGOs & Civil Right organizations that prevented any such policies from being executed. Also, the tendency of our political leaders to want to capture rather than kill enemy combatants, forcing us to then give them the same rights that American citizens enjoy when it comes to legal defenses. making the process long & convoluted
Only things we did right, aside from the 2 quick wars in 2001 & 2003 (the war part, not the nation building part) was killing Osama, Zarqawi, Baghdadi & Zawahiri. Should have executed KSM very quickly

What nation building? Nation building cannot take place when nations like Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan make Islam their national religion. Shame on us for allowing this to happen.
