New in PJ Media:
Kamala Harris had a problem, and like the savvy political operator she is, she set out to solve it. In doing so, she has bestowed upon us an invaluable gift: the most cringeworthy political ad in the history of the known universe.
The genesis of this masterwork was simple: numerous polls showed that Donald Trump had a massive lead among men. That was understandable. Look at Trump and JD Vance, and then look at the weak half-men, men who think they’re women, and effeminate males that populate the Harris campaign. As Tim Pool remarked, “It’s like Kamala has never met a man before.” Margot Cleveland, senior legal correspondent for The Federalist, had essentially the same observation: “Apparently, the only men those working for the Harris campaign know are Doug Emhoff and Tim Walz.” The comedic duo known as The Hodge Twins dubbed the ad “the gayest political ad of all time.”
Harris herself can’t be blamed. The ad carried a tiny-print disclaimer: “Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.” Nonetheless, the ad was produced in earnest by genuine Harris supporters. Charlie Spiering of the Daily Mail reported that “The ‘Man Enough’ ad is real, created by Jacob Reed, formerly of Funny or Die, and Jimmy Kimmel. It’s not an official campaign ad, but it genuinely is trying to communicate to men why they should vote for Kamala Harris. Not a parody.”
Reed boasted that “in the last 24 hrs, it’s racked up half a million views on TikTok, been reposted by Crooked Media, and gotten a great write-up in Fast Company. I’ve felt validated by the response.” Well, that’s what’s important, now, isn’t it?
Reed appears not to have realized how silly and stupid the ad really is, and is even proud of the most cringeworthy aspects of it: “I think this resonates with people because it’s a view of masculinity we see in our lives but is rarely reflected in the media….With the rise of role models like Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff on the national stage, I think the left is finally finding its footing on how to talk about masculinity — I think we’re overdue for a redefinition of what it means to be a man in America and I hope this campaign can start to shape that conversation.” Yeah, sure, that’s gonna happen.
The ad goes wrong right from the beginning. It starts with an array of odd-looking characters, each affirming, “I’m a man.” Well, just like the first rule of Fight Club is that you never talk about Fight Club, actual men don’t feel the need to go around announcing that they’re men all the time. It’s just obvious. In the weird world of Kamala Harris and Jacob Reed, however, one never knows: any one of the men in the ad could have instead said, “I’m a woman,” and no one involved would have batted an eye.
There is more. Read the rest here.

“You think I’m afraid to rebuild a carburetor?”
——————————————————————————————————————————-
I very much doubt that either Tim Walz or Doug Emhoff even know what a carburetor is. They don’t exactly look like “car guys”. And no American car has been fitted with carbs for the past 34 years anyway….
Still, when Trump is re-elected – and after he’s restored America’s security and standing in the world – he’ll doubtless take a moment to restore the US auto industry. And for projecting “soft power” around the globe – can we have these back as well….?

I owned a Bonneville at one time. Also owned, at another time, a LeMans. hardtop.
A friend had a GTO.
The new cars of today, just aren’t the same.
And no mechanic that I know, works on all parts of a car as mechanics once could do. Like doctors and lawyers, they all specialize.

A ’59 Bonneville? That is the one. For me, 1959 was the high point of American car styling. The 1950s was a period of such rapid change, with three distinct eras packed into one decade. The early 50’s cars were essentially lengthened, lowered ’40s cars – the mid-50s brought squared-up designs – (the ’57 Cadillac Coupe de Ville is my personal favourite from that era – wrap-around glass at both ends!) – then ’57 – ’59 brought us what much of the world still thinks of as the quintessential space-rocket-on-wheels “American car” – firstly with Chrysler’s ’57 generation of be-finned longer-lower cars and then GM’s response in ’59 with a salvo of even larger and longer cars from Cadillac/Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac/Chevrolet.
My first love – patriotically enough – is Jaguars, but I also appreciate classic American cars. My first was a ’55 Buick Century 4-door hard-top followed by a ’56 Chrysler Windsor 2-door hard-top – (closest I could get to Richard Carpenter’s red 300B) – a ’53 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, and a ’59 Coupe de Ville. Would really have liked a ’57 too, plus I feel that any self-respecting Humphrey Bogart-school ’40s “private-eye” should surely have owned a ’49 Cadillac Club Coupe?
All gone now, but I still have the “pick-of-the-bunch” – my ’59 Olds Rocket 98 2-door pillarless hardtop Scenicoupe with the 394 cu.in motor – (6.5 litres) – 4-speed “Jetaway” Hydramatic auto-box, and wraparound “Futuramic” panoramic wind-shield.
It’s very similar to the Bonneville in the Charles Phoenix video – same colour – (“Seaspray Green”) – and a similar interior, but with a less “juke-box-y” /more stylish instrument panel including a strip/ribbon speedo that changes colour at different speeds. A wonderful machine that just says “modernity” in true 1950s “Jetsons” style. (Plus it’s the only car I’ve ever owned where I can put my bike in the boot/trunk without removing the wheels! LOL)
While this may seem totally off-topic, it’s the freedom to own and enjoy such things that intolerant authoritarianism of all stripes, threatens to take away from us.
Cheers, Phil.

Bull’s eye! These people are full of it.

A few things stand out to me..
One night while I worked alone checking groceries, a guy came in and threw some items on the belt. I asked if he had found everything he wanted, and he said, “Yeah, this is all the s…t.” I flatly told him that I wouldn’t touch that He looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language.
For a father to talk about braiding the ….out of his daughter’s hair is disgusting, to say the least, but the idiot doesn’t realize the implications. If his child had ….in her hair, braiding it wouldn’t remove it. And he should be asking her how it got there, not bragging about braiding it out.
Years ago, when people were actually concerned with mental health, a doctor was discussing DID, formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder. He had gotten permission to discuss some of his patients’ particular medical history. One young girl, being interviewed was asked a question and her response was ,”I’m a guy.”
And lastly, there was a program about women training to enter a contest where the contestants had bulked up like men do…all muscle, picking up heavy stuff, etc.’
One contestant was a very large, very overweight woman. After much talk from the host about this particular female, he said, “And if you don’t think she’s feminine, just listen.”
Then the camera cut to….not her husband, but to her, and she said, in a somewhat masculine voice , lowered for the mic, (she was trying awfully hard to sound tough) “I think I’m feminine.”
Men, and I don’t believe there is any reason to put “real” in there, know who they are and so do the women and other men around them. Children can tell, too.
if they need to proclaim it, then they have a serious problem.
Makes one wonder….just what do those who must proclaim that they are men, and indicate their votes for the hyena, hope to gain from their participation.

So the “ad” wasn’t an official ad and was not endorsed by the Harris campaign.
So any specialty group that supports a candidate can create an ad and the candidate is to be painted by it?
What prevents the opposing candidate’s camp from doing the same thing?
If the KKK supports Trump does that mean that Trump supports the KKK?
Get real. Much ado about nothing here.
Westman says
It’s great entertainment and those who haven’t seen the ad would appreciate the, “heads up”.
Certainly the jihad-minded men of Islam are howling with laughter over the ad and saying, “taking over American will be easier than we first thought”.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Yeah, shaming men, and mocking them on their masculinity – be it the excess or lack of it, whatever – is bound to inspire us to vote for Kamala
Since I’m out of the country, I absentee-voted for Trump a few days ago, and submitted my ballot at the consulate. From this point on, I’ll just watch
Troybeam says
Desperation by Harris, using men to explain a non issue. Only men and women who vote with their emotions and not logic will vote for Harris/Waltz not caring about what these 2 people will do to the United States of America.
James Lincoln says
100% true, Troybeam.
Voting on emotion versus policies is moronic.

All of a sudden being a MAN is bad and that will make me vote for the idiot Kamala Harris, don’t think so.
Next thing when SHE gets in Office she’ll fix our military enlistment problem by going all female military. That will scare the hell out of our enemies.
