“Documents reveal depth of Hamas-Al Jazeera collaboration,” JNS, October 27, 2024:
After exposing the involvement of six Al Jazeera journalists in terrorism, the Israel Defense Forces on Oct. 24 revealed additional documents exposing close collaboration between the Gaza-based terror group Hamas and the Qatari news organization.
“The documents reveal how Hamas directs Al Jazeera‘s media coverage to serve its own interests, preventing the public in Gaza and around the world from discovering the truth about its crimes against Gazan civilians,” according to an IDF statement.
Cooperation ranged from prohibiting the channel from criticizing Hamas to concealing incidents involving failed rocket launches.
A 2023 document revealed that Hamas had decided to establish an “Al Jazeera phone”—a secure line that would allow the organization to communicate with the channel in a classified manner and during emergencies.
In a 2022 document, Hamas described clear instructions it had given Al Jazeera on covering a failed Islamic Jihad rocket launch in Jabaliya which resulted in the deaths of several civilians.
The instructions included avoiding the use of the word “massacre” to describe the event, reducing the display of images from the incident, and ensuring that news panel members did not criticize Hamas.
Another 2022 document revealed instructions Hamas gave to journalist Tamer Almisshall regarding his coverage of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) during that year’s IDF “Operation Breaking Dawn” on his program “More Hidden than Revealed.” The instructions were to support the “resistance” in Gaza and to prevent any criticism of the Islamic Jihad’s rocket capabilities in light of the high number of failed launches.
On Oct. 25, the IDF disclosed documents exposing six Al Jazeera journalists as Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists.
The journalists are Anas Jamal Mahmoud Al-Sharif, Alaa Abdul Aziz Muhammad Salama, Hossam Basel Abdul Karim Shabat, Ashraf Sami Ashour Saraj, Ismail Farid Muhammad Abu Omar and Talal Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Aruki….

“Israel’s parliament voted Monday to ban the operations of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, the main humanitarian aid agency operating in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a statement on the legislation reiterating the accusations that UNRWA employees are involved in terrorist activities in the region. An investigation by the U.N. Office of Internal Oversight Services closed in August, with some allegations being debunked and noting that others lacked sufficient evidence.
However, the agency noted that nine employees may have been involved in the Oct. 7 terror attack against Israel if evidence was “authenticated and corroborated.” UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said those contracts would be terminated.
Netanyahu’s office said Monday that UNRWA personnel “must be held accountable.”
“In the 90 days before this legislation goes into effect — and after — we stand ready to work with our international partners to ensure that Israel continues to facilitate humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza in a manner that does not threaten Israel’s security,” the statement said.””

Somehistory, in reference to what I said below re Al Jazeera–I had long known that the UN winked at terrorism and had done so for many years, but it was only over the past decade or so that I’ve learned how many UN employees are Jihadists themselves. Chilling stuff.

g. when I was a teen, I read some stuff on the un. Decided then it was not what it was claimed to be…it’s a beast, actually.
Back then I didn’t know about the infestation of mozlums and I believe that has only grown in the years since. It can’t be ignored any longer by those people who want to be honest.

Similar with me, Somehistory. When I was a child I thought the UN–or the projected image of the UN, really–was just great. As a teenager I started to realize that the UN was not living up to its promise, but still assumed they really meant well. As an older teen I began to understand that I had been *far* too optimistic.

Thanks for that link, Somehistory. The only thing I worried about with flooding the tunnels was the safety–or at least survival–of the kidnapped hostages.

He explained how it would be done and at that stage esp, hamas wanted the hostages alive so they could bargain with them.
It would have brought things to a head much sooner; less time would mean fewer died from starvation, illness, maltreatment, etc.

The Saudis and their allies – Egypt, Emirates & Bahrein – had it right when they sanctioned Qatar in 2019: one of the main reasons being al Jazeera. Once Trump returns to power, the pressure needs to be re-applied, and Qatar needs to be made to stop backing the muslim brotherhood, and letting al Jazeera be a mouthpiece for jihad/dawa activity. They may or may not join the Abraham Accords: that’s up to them, but they should be ready the riot act and told that further support of jihad, whether against Israel or anyone else, would not be tolerated
