Candace Owens is an obsessive antisemite, on a par with Roger Waters, who describes her animus toward Jews as merely the result of her justified anguish over the terrible things Israel has been doing, she claims, in Gaza. It is hard to see how what goes on in Gaza leads to the conclusion that all those stories about Dr. Mengele’s medical experiments at Auschwitz must be false, or that stories about the Holocaust are greatly exaggerated, or why the war in Gaza could lead Ms. Owens to conclude that a “Zionist media empire” controls so much of what we read or hear — in which case, how is it that we read and hear so much by Candace Owens? Why hasn’t that “Zionist media empire” managed to silence her?

But Australia’s Immigration Minister, Tony Burke — not a member of any Jewish conspiracy, we should note — has denied her a visa to enter Australia, declaring that she would only “incite discord in almost every direction.” Australia is best served, according to Burke, when Candace Owens is elsewhere.

…Owens has made a series of antisemitic and controversial comments about Israel, Jews, and the Holocaust on social media and her podcast, as well as in interviews. She has downplayed the atrocities of the Holocaust and said medical experiments by Mengele performed on Jews during World War II sounded “like bizarre propaganda.” She has also said she believes the Star of David originated from an evil pagan deity and claimed the US “is being held hostage by Israel.”

Owens has also suggested Israel was behind the assassination of former US President John F Kennedy and called Judaism a “pedophile-centric religion that believes in demons … child sacrifice,” according to the Anti-Defamation League. She has promoted antisemitic conspiracy theories about Jews and Zionists and in September falsely claimed that Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the late spiritual leader of the Jewish Chabad-Lubavitch movement who was also known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe, “preached Jewish supremacism.”

Burke made it clear that he would reject Owens’s application for a visa even before she applied for one. He said in August, “tickets to these events are selling for $100. I hope she has a good refund policy. There hasn’t been an application for a visa, but if there is, the brief will come to me personally. My opposition to antisemitism and Islamophobia has always been on the record. I have clear legal powers to knock back a visa to anyone who would incite discord.”

During Tuesday’s episode of her podcast, Owens denied Burke’s claims about her inciting “discord” and said “of course it’s not true.”

“Nothing said is true … All of this is just to make a statement to try to present me as some very scary person akin to Adolf Hitler and we’ve seen this before,” she claimed. She then talked about being penalized for not staying silent about how the ongoing Israel-Hamas war is affecting Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“The determined punishment for me for not turning a blind eye to this, for not being a coward and pretending that I just don’t see it, has been harassment; has been that I’m going to take away your money, and I’m going to ruin your reputation and I’m going to have journalists who are Zionists try to assassinate your character online,” she said. “I have accepted that because I think that is a way easier punishment to accept than what these [Palestinian] children are accepting on a daily basis.”

Tickets to her events were selling for $100? Goodness, this hate-filled cretin stood to make tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars from her appearances at five Australian cities. Thank heaven Tony Burke has the power to deny her a visa because she almost certainly would cause “discord.” I’m sure there are audiences aplenty elsewhere eager to lap up her antisemitic message. Why not a tour of the Middle East and North Africa, with live performances in Tehran, Tabriz, Meshhad, Riyadh, Jeddah, Baghdad, Damascus, Beirut, and Algiers? And if asks for it, I’m sure, Al Jazeera would give Candace Owens a regular spot as a commentator on world affairs. Don’t worry about Candace Owens. She’ll clean up.

I can’t stand Owens but she should be able to say and go where she wants.. she’s not a criminal unless thought crimes are a thing in Australia,idk.? .. someone better than her will dissect everything she says and prove her wrong on almost every point.. That’s the best remedy, shutting her down will
    make people more curious and they will search her out.

    • As a parent if you know some is a liar or trouble maker you would tell your child to avoid that person and be sure not to pay attention to what they have to say. Discussion follows this. Why entertain a liar and let them profit from it if you can stop it?

    • I couldn’t agree more and when people justify censorship by invoking ‘hate speech’ as an exception whereby if something is deemed ‘hate speech’ it should be banned. it makes my toes curl. I loathe these emotive nonsense phrases. Who determines what constitutes hate? Everyone should be able to say whatever they want, where we can shine a light on whatever it is they are saying and engage with it. Often enough so called ‘hate speech’ turns out to be something I e just disagrees with. Even if it is extreme and vile so what words are just words.If someone makes causal connection between someone’s words and subsequent actions I believe that those individuals were always going to be going down the same path. Nobody should be censored , where does it stop, who decides who should be censored what speech be censored it smacks of authoritarianism and for one will never agree to it.

    There is something seriously wrong with a person who can look at any situation, any subject, and zero in on one group of people as being at fault, the group to blame, just because that one doesn’t like the group or members of the group.
    If owens was Christian, she would know that Judaism teaches contrary to what she has accused Jews of doing. Those practices belong to islam….which teaches, commands, demands and promises rewards for doing them.

      • I don’t see that kind of behavior as being what Jesus said to do, nor of the example He set as a “model for us to follow His steps closely.”

          She used to be sensible, and now she’s a one-trick pony: the trick? Crapping on Jews for everything wrong in the world, and even for the consequences of her own actions, such as being barred from Australia for saying ridiculous things, believing and spreading hateful fabricated garbage, and defending Nazis and torturers.

          Yes, surely the Jews got her banned! Those Joos, they’re behind everything after all–so her reseach has “proved” beyond a doubt! And the Muslims agree. So she’s in good company. Doesn’t Candace know that Joos make Jinn do their bidding all over the Middle East too? She knows everything about Jews, so that “factoid” should be something she can insert in her talks. Everywhere except Australia. There’s always the rest of the world, just waiting for her to show up. Candace should consider a tour to Qatar, to Iran. She’d fit right in.

          My view on Jews. Everyone owes them a lot, and through Israel all the world was, is and will be blessed–their Messiah is our King as well, if we receive him. When he comes as a lion, they’ll recognize him as well, they are awaiting the promised messiah, many are talking about it in Israel and the diaspora.

          Further, he has a special care for his people, the nation and tribe he is of, on his earthly side. I wouldn’t dare speak against “the Jews” even if I felt like it! They are not the “Goliath” they are the David, the small against the giant. Surrounded by thugs who want to erase them all.

          Bible says: “Those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed.” Sooner or later! I’d rather be blessed. So I’m saying GOD BLESS ISRAEL!

          Finally, as for the “Star of David.” Yes, pagan deities were often represented by stars as well. In the Bible, however, in the prophecy of Baalam, who was hired by a pagan king to curse the Israelites, recently delivered from slavery in Egypt, he speaks a prophecy of the future Messiah instead. “A star will arise out of Jacob and a scepter out of Israel…” which many interpret as the promised King, and Christians latch onto it, however, they usually ignore the rest of the prophecy, about how this King of the Jews will crush all the enemies of Israel. Whoops! So much for all the good Christians marching to support Hamas and standing against the “genocide in Gaza.”

          I’m a Christian, and I see this weird ages-old replacement theological stance where the church has supplanted Israel, rather than, as Paul said, Gentiles who believe in Christ are then grafted in. Into what? Into Israel. And “all Israel will be saved.” Big topic. Anyway, I don’t think Candace Owens spends much time researching the Bible and theology, except maybe the Jew-hating “Church fathers”–there were many. As a Christian, I grieve that Christians have done SO MUCH harm to the gospel, via Antisemitism. And to make Jews fear us. Totally understandable. Who did all those pogroms? The Inquisition? In Europe, look at medieval treatment of Jews in many times and places. No wonder Jesus is banned and feared in many Jewish homes. And Candace, the now-rabid antisemite, attacking the Jews and Israel at every chance, repeating “Christ is King!” all the time–I’d be scared of her.

          I pray she repents in dust and ashes. She is doing much harm, and she will regret it when she looks into the eyes of the KING she talks about, the Jew. if not before. I pray she regrets it way before, and repents, with apologies for this gross evil she’s participating in.

  5. I agree that she is execrable, but I doubt that anything is gained by banning her from entering a country. Decades ago, when the US had a ban on (now) Indian prime minister Modi entering the US, his proposed hosts got around it by doing a remote appearance (this was even in the pre-Zoom, pre Google Meet, pre Microsoft Teams era). For Candace’s hosts today, that would be even easier

    I would respect Australia a lot more if they also banned muslim Judeophobes & Hinduophobes from entering their country. Right now, she looks like she’s the only anti-Semite who’s banned from there

    Many Christians and far right Jewhaters love Candace Owens and her “speaking the truth” – sorry, “TRUTH” – and want her in Australia.
    And “free speech”: is the cry.

    These are the same people who whine about Israel “hating” Christians.

  8. By the way, don’t think that Tony Burke is doing anything honourable here. He is banning Candace Owens because she is a far-right bigot and the left hates the Right. This way he can offer a tiny sop to the jews of Australia by claiming he forbids inciting “discord”.

    Had she been far-left or Muslim, she would have been allowed to skate into the country no problems.
    He is obsessed with protecting his Muslim votes, so islamic and lefty bigots are allowed free rein to harass, vilify, attack and harass Jews everywhere without penalty.
    Various local imams have vilified Jews in vile Islamic terms and NOTHING happens to them.

    This visa refusal is only so he can say he ‘s doing something about antisemitism while ignoring it and allowing Gazans into Australia, some of whom have already proved to be terrorist supporters and advocates.

    • Basically I agree with you. Little is done there to stop the antisemitic protests and mobs, and terrorists–he is afraid of being seen as Islamophobic. They keep importing Islamic migrants, there are Jihad terror-preachers there who speak freely. They aren’t “barred” from entering, they are already there, and won’t be deported either.

      I don’t believe in censorship. Let it all hang out. Then we see the real face of things emerge, and what people really are. At same time, don’t let Hitler buy all the air time, lol. There don’t seem to be many smart people on the topic who can rebut all her talking points on Jews, Israel, with humor and facts. Problem is, her points cannot be refuted with a few words. These are large topics and proofs are complicated, historic, etc. Also, modern minds don’t want FACTS. Koolaid goes down easier…no thought or self-examination required.

      As for the comments you made about “Christians’ being some of the worst antisemites on the planet, I agree. I am a follower of Jesus, and a strong critic of this (growing!) trend, and other crimes of organized Christianity and “Christians.” It’s not my job to say a particular person is a “real” Christian or not, judged by the teachings of Jesus, as I can’t see the heart. But I see actions that are not “Christ-like.” My conclusion is that many are not really true followers of Jesus, though they think they are. Self-deception is the human condition! Look at–Candace Owens. I think she has also been deceived by others on this topic. Very sad, and harmful.

      • I don’t think the gov’t should ban her, unless she is actually committing a crime. Her views, though hateful, are not crime. Unless she were inciting violence, etc. (like many Islamic leaders do!).

        But if I owned an auditorium she wanted to rent for a talk, for example, to spread her hatred, I wouldn’t rent it to her. If she wanted me to print pamphlets for her anti-Zionist ideas, and I had the printing press, I’d say no. As a private citizen I would not give her a platform to use. That is my choice as a citizen, I would not enable the spread of her toxic mess.

        Though if I were media, I would interview her and challenge her.

        At least many are speaking up regarding her recent “conversion” to Jew-hatred. Even her in-laws apparently. Almost like she has been hypnotized. I knew something was going off the rails when she started trying to explain Kanye West’s rants about the Jewish cabal ruining his career.

        And one more thing about Christians hating Jews–it’s not all true, obviously, I am and many who read JW are not antisemites, quite the opposite. There are many Christians today who are supporting Israel, even going there to help with the situation on the ground, on their own dime. Groups picking fruit to get the harvest in, etc. Many are vocal online, saying they stand with Israel, though it can mean being de-platformed or attacked. An Anglican minister and his daughter showed up at a Hamas march in Australia, with the Israeli flag. He was chased by the hoodlums, but then they went on to organize a pro-Israel rally. These who stand with Israel are often in denominations who read the Bible! Evangelicals, like Billy Graham, etc. The thread in the Bible is salvation for mankind, through Israel! Duh! I would tend to think there are more “real Christians” in those groups, than the cultural religious institutions people are born into. Though it really is an individual thing, it comes down to each person.
