The pro-Hamas protesters on October 7 call their campus event a show of protest against “a year of genocide” in Gaza. But they plan to hold this event on October 7, and they call it by a name that is similar to the name Hamas gave to its October 7, 2023 massacre.
The violence of the so-called Palestinian “resistance” is being brazenly flaunted in a country that harshly cracks down on “hate” and incitement. Celebrating the October 7 mass murder and the subsequent savaging of Jews on campus, and calling the event “Campus flood” to recall Hamas’ barbaric “Al-Aqsa flood” is jarring. Where are Canada’s vaunted human rights lobbies and commissions?

Independent student groups formerly affiliated with Montreal’s McGill and Concordia universities have sparked outrage with a planned coordinated campus “flood” to mark the first anniversary of the October 7 terror onslaught in southern Israel, which Hamas dubbed the “Al-Aqsa Flood.”
The event, promoted as a commemoration of “the historic breach of the colonial border wall and a year of Palestinian resistance,” encourages students to walk out of class and “flood” the campus in protest of what organizers call “a year of genocide.” Promotional materials feature an image of Gazans celebrating atop a stolen Israeli military vehicle on October 7 — a visual that many interpret as glorifying acts of terror.
For many Jewish students, this protest represents more than just a symbolic walkout; it is the culmination of a year of hostility and fear.
“It’s another way of dehumanizing us and celebrating our death,” said Ora Bar, a recent Concordia graduate who has been active in pro-Israel advocacy. “If they let it happen, glorifying the killers, this shows the direction where Canada is going.”

Today, pro-Palestinian activists will take to the streets of several major capitals to “celebrate” the first anniversary of the terrible massacres perpetrated by Hamas on October 7, 2023.
They will say that these heinous crimes targeting the civilian population, these gang rapes and these murders of children perpetrated by terrorists who were exulting with joy constituted an “act of resistance.”

This is the case for these intellectuals who signed an open letter on October 29, 2023, calling on feminists and humanists to denounce the attacks perpetrated by Hamas.

A journalist who saw the videos of the massacres captured by the terrorists themselves claims that the assassins were hilarious.

Another takes the time to interrupt his murderous odyssey to call his parents, too impatient to tell them that he has already killed ten Jews with his own hands.
“We see dozens, hundreds of people who, seeing corpses piled up in the back of a truck driven by a Hamas terrorist, take advantage of the traffic jam created by their hilarious voyeurism to get closer to the dead, surround them, film them with one hand and slap them with the other.
“We also see two men try nine times to decapitate a victim with a shovel, invoking the greatness of Allah.
“Dead people everywhere, on the side of a highway, in a parking lot, in a bus shelter, in the middle of a field, at the foot of a tree, inside a dumpster, in a public restroom, in a living room, under a table, in a closet, a laundry room, a bathroom, a master suite, a child’s bedroom, a baby’s crib.”
