The whole premise of “deradicalization” is that Islam is a religion of peace that jihadis misunderstand, twist, and hijack. Since that is a false premise, and warfare against unbelievers is actually taught in the Qur’an and Sunnah, “deradicalization” focuses on other issues, such as “anger issues” that the jihadi may have, his feelings of “alienation,” and the like.
But since none of that changes what the Qur’an and Sunnah say about warfare against unbelievers, it doesn’t “deradicalize” the jihadi at all. A British psychologist behind a “deradicalization” scheme has also admitted that there’s no guarantee that jihadis can ever be “cured.” And Jonathan Hall KC, who was at the time the UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said there was “no magic bullet or special pill” that could help to change convicted extremists.

One of the UK’s most dangerous terrorists will tell a parole hearing next week that he should be freed because he has finished a prison deradicalisation programme.
Ranzieb Ahmed – once said to be Osama bin Laden’s top European operative – will make his plea via video from his high security prison on Wednesday during a parole hearing that will test the appeal system to the limits.
MailOnline understands he will highlight the fact that he has successfully completed the year-long deradicalisation course and that is proof he is no longer a threat to the public.
The private hearing has the power to free Ahmed, the first person to be convicted in the UK of directing terrorism in 2008.
If he is granted a release on licence, Ahmed, 48, would be back on the streets in late October. His potential freedom has alarmed anti-terror experts….
In 2008, then aged 33, a jury found him guilty of leading a three-man Al-Qaeda cell which was preparing to commit mass murder….
A Parole Board spokesperson confirmed that Ahmed’s case would be heard on the 25th September….

the doctors or whomever direct such things, would have to de-islam the terrorists. But just like those addicted to drugs, alcohol, or video games must first **want** to quit, the mozlum terrorists would first have to **want** to leave islam.
Terrorists don’t want to leave islam. They lust to rape and murder and lie about it. And islam gives them what they believe is the *right*…a license….to do those things.
A psychopath doesn’t want to be anything different from what he is. Neither do mozlums devoted to their terrorism. And they are also psychopaths. It’s a double-whammy of evil.

So, no “magic bullet” can cure this but if they drop the “magic” portion, I believe any run of the mill caliber would suffice (although I’d suggest a 50 cal. over a .22).

Terminology is important:
You can’t de-radicalize someone who is not radical – but, instead, is very devout in their muslim faith.
If Ranzieb Ahmed is still a devout muslim, he has not been “de-radicalized”.

Cue the advisory role in Government or something similar to show us how wonderful the dark age savages are.
Even if one falters for a while, entirely because of the treatment they received from awful British types of course, they can be redeemed and be a benefit for our society, etc, repeat ad nauseum.
